Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 23rd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 40th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

The stats sheet is here

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Aw Lauren you're def not a failure!! My milk didn't come in til day 5 I think so we had to top up with formula too. He's ebf now though, keep at it Smile Glad Isaac's doing well. Can't wait to see pics!! Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 09/03/2015 11:05

Ah Lauren to be getting anything more than a few drops on day one is amazing - it will come. Spend as much time in contact with him as you can, it will help hugely. Looking forward to pictures!

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 11:36

Awwwww!! Lauren you're not a failure your body wasn't ready yet and just needs to catch up with your very keen son Smile

Can't wait to see him, so happy for you!

Splodge - can you go down there to book appointment? They sound a bit rubbish :(

Baby is somersaulting. It's nice but also makes me feel bit weird and sicky.

I like dream genii pillow, I hated the old one I had hence I sold it. This one fits round me and stops me falling into my back at night. Takes a bit of getting used to though.

What's ebf popz?

I had loads of fun picking out what I wanted from 3 bags of my colleagues baby clothes last night. So adorable!

Well done on cot bed dulcet! How much did you get it for? I'm going to start researching carriers and monitors as my next purchase.

Splodge my cats are clingier than usual definitely. They cuddle up to bum and my non lap cat has taken to resting his head on it. They definitely know! Animals are amazing.

Tee that's annoying :( but I guess you have to do what's best for your health. Can you reclaim bank hols etc to tack on at other end?

la I'm guessing exclusively breast fed?

Fleurchamp · 09/03/2015 11:46

Morning all!

I haven't got a special pillow. Probably going to jinx myself but at the moment I could sleep on a washing line I am so exhausted by bedtime.

During the day I am in super drive. Maybe it's nesting but I spent 4 hours clearing out my wardrobe, the bathroom cupboard (I am a huge beauty product slut) and shredding old paperwork yesterday.

I took 4 sacks to the charity shop, 3 to the tip and have 2 huge bags of shredding to be recycled.

I have only my maternity clothes in the wardrobe now and the rest are in air tight bags.

DH is very bemused with all.

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 11:50

Yup that sounds like me fleur! I've cleared out wardrobes, drawers, desks, rearranged lounge, uploaded and sold all CDs etc

Still need to clean car inside, wash carpets and curtains and kitchen cupboards. Waiting til weather is nicer

We are having some work done in our house starting in a couple of weeks and so we do need to have a sort out first. However, I only usually do things like that under serious nagging duress from my DH.

He is now worried for the contents of his wardrobe Grin

My mum came over yesterday and brought with her some packs of new born vests and sleep suits. So cute, so tiny! The first clothing we have for nipper. I am holding off buying things until our house is builder free as I don't want everything covered in dust. I am itching To get organised though.

RPopz · 09/03/2015 12:19

Yep, exclusively breast fed La

DulcetMoans · 09/03/2015 12:47

No failure there lauren, even without the complication it can take a couple of days for milk to come in. You'll get there! Look forward to the pictures. Have the indicated how long you might be in there?

Sounds a bit stressful tee. Would you be starting ML early for you or them though? I understand the money and health concerns but if you get signed off it is because you are too unwell to be there. Is there stuff you can do from home and really limit your travel? I would see what the consultant says, they might be able to find a third way.

splodge, that is crazy! When you do finally get an appointment you just need to insist that you know what you want and you can't keep waiting for appointments for them to try and change your mind. (it may have been me about the bio-oil. If I didn't type it, I defo thought it! Thanks!)

It was £62 with mattress and cot top changer so pretty happy with that. DH keeps having to tell me I didn't 'win' it, I bought it. But I feel like a winner. I beat all the others!

I have had to sort out a sofa bed in a similar state to that chat, had to sort it to take it down as its all in the baby room! Much of this sorting was moving and spreading out so it doesn't look quite so bad...

That is some impressive nesting fleur! Do you do home visits? I managed two bags of clothes for charity sop at the weekend but barely a dent in the space we need. I am being driven by a window fitting man coming to sort the double glazing out though so will have to be done!

mountaingirl01 · 09/03/2015 13:38

I have a bump today! I know this is all my guts which have been displaced by womble but still! Bump!

My nesting is manifesting in baking. I made brownies, fairy cakes and madeleines last week...

mountaingirl01 · 09/03/2015 13:39

and I wander why I already have a bump Hmm

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 14:08

Hooray for bumps! Mine is made of pic n mix and biscuits

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 09/03/2015 14:50

Mine is made of fizzy drinks and crisps. Not good.

Saying that, I feel sick.

Pisghetti · 09/03/2015 15:05

Afternoon viroids. Nothing exciting happening at chez Pis so I'm cracking on with the birth sampler for the baby, sat on my ball so as to bounce baby out optimise fetal positioning. Decided I may as well accept that I'll be pregnant forever baby will come when she's ready so planning to make the most of the time to myself. Been flicking through my cake recipe books..... Feeling inspired!

batfish · 09/03/2015 15:07

I have a slight 'bump' already but at 9 weeks I know it isn't baby related and instead is due to the carbs I can't stop stuffing into my face! Now I don't actually think that I need them, I've always been a greedy so and so but now I'm just not trying so hard to rein it in. Was gleefully telling hubby I'm eating for two now and it's allowed (even though I do know eating for 2 is a myth) when my trainee midwife sister who clearly forgot she was my sister for a moment and instead turned into a judgmental midwife grassed me up to my hubby when we skyped and said I'm only allowed 200 calories extra. That's her off the godmother shortlist!

Fattycow · 09/03/2015 15:48

I am hungry all the time!

mountaingirl01 · 09/03/2015 15:52

Aghhh trying to get someone at the hospital to talk to me is impossible! I want them to tell me why they are not re scanning for nuchal measurements and they just keep telling me to call my midwife -which I don't have or obviously I would- or asking did the sonographer not explain it- no! Otherwise I wouldn't be ringing! I am so pissed off but they are also making me cry which is annoying in itself! :(

LaLaLaaaa · 09/03/2015 15:52

Hate to break it to bat but the 200 cal thing is only in 3rd tri as well! ;)

I just are a huge double choc cookie. It was gooey and still warm

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 09/03/2015 16:06

I was thinking that la! lol. I read 20cals in first trimester, 80cals in second and 200cals in third. We won't tell your DH though bat!

Sorry about the frustration with hospital mountain. Have you got anywhere with it or just round in circles?

I am hungry and then feel sick all the time fatty, it's very confusing! My line between hunger and sickness is very thin.

teejayem · 09/03/2015 16:28

mmm. I might make a cake. Baking isn't really my forte though, I'm better at savories, but I really fancy lemon and poppyseed drizzle.
My Friend has been fighting a rare bowel cancer for the last 18 months and we got the call yesterday to say he'd gone; he had quite a significant relapse about 10 days ago and has progressively gotten worse, and had a rapid slide downhill from Friday. It's just so tragic, his little boy was born just after he was diagnosed, and he'll grow up without a daddy. This thought alone has me in tears just typing it. His poor, poor wife has been amazing and I just feel terrible for her. Puts a lot of things in perspective, but also I think my slightly crazy upduffed state everything feels amplified with hormones, so I'm feeling even more sorry for myself, but then feel terrible because my silly little niggles are nothing in comparison. :( I couldn't imagine my life without Mr Tee.

My original plan dulcet was to take 5 weeks holiday at 34 weeks and then start ML the week before I was due. I'm 28 weeks Friday, so if I could just work till 30 and then take my holiday, it brings it forward a month, which isn't so bad. I've definitely had an improvement in mobility since being off and not having to commute/sit at desk for 8 hours, so I'm keen to not undo it, on the flipside I don't like wasting my leave by sitting on my bum all day (weird tee logic) but I think I will ask the consultant and see what she recommends.

So who's going to be watching the new series of OBEM tomorrow night then? I think I'm brave enough.. it used to be one of my favorite shows but after I got my BFP It scared the living shit out of me, but now, nearly at 3rd trim I need to man up and stop being a tart! I do wonder just how over dramatized some of it is, I def preferred the first couple of series, they were a bit more fly on the wall.

Fleurchamp · 09/03/2015 16:35

See I don't get that whole extra 200 cals only in the last trimester - I am STARVING there is no way on earth I could manage on my usual diet.

Maybe I don't eat enough normally but I have definitely upped my calorie intake.

Although I have been trying to eat fruit instead of cake and have failed miserably, have eaten both - including a whole punnet of grapes and now I have arse rain Hmm

batfish · 09/03/2015 16:51

Haha thanks guys, glad you've all got my back on the whole feeding my face thing! 200 cals in last trimester, what a load of rubbish made up by men - we're growing babies for God's sake! Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure mine fancies a McDonald's on the way home from my accounts class that finishes at 10pm.
