thanks everyone, some good ideas there. think I'm going to just bite the bullet and get it over with soon. otherwise I'm going to spend weeks worrying about it!

A wave to all! I'm plucking up the courage to join at 5+6, due apparently November 9th with my first at the grand old age of 40.

Am very nervous so actually really glad everyone else seems just as anxious, I don't think I could take people being tremendously blasé about the whole thing!

The tiredness is kicking my ass (am an academic, so routinely work 10-12 hour days, and do seven days a week, during the semester) and I am just counting down the hours till Easter gets here and I can work normal hours.

Fingers crossed for the next few weeks for all of us....

Welcome CC - I am a university lecturer too, but have now managed to mould myself to office like hours five days a week!

I will probably take a back seat on this thread a while. Horrid horrid morning sickness hit me this weekend and I have been throwing up all day and night and feeling like shit. Have had to call in sick for tomorrow and will need to do online lectures which is rubbish as I needed to be there. Haven't read past this last page so lots of good thoughts everyone and I am off to vomit now.

focus rubbish isnt it. somebody(sorry cant remember who) mentioned the nausea was worse when they were hungry. Think they were definatley onto something as with that in mind im just getting mild nausea rather than full on vomiting now. thank you mrstothemr we really have hada crap couple of months so the thought really touched me. hope you have all had a lovely day.

Hello everyone,
I got my BFP on the 6th and since then I have been lurking here - was waiting for computer time to write to say hello.

I am 31, EDD is 13th Nov, and this is my second little one. I already have an almost 3 year old.

I don't have any symptoms yet, except some general tiredness and sleepiness. I am not looking to the MS. Last times I think it started around week 7. I just started week 6 so i have another two-ish weeks to go.

p.s. I have been looking at baby clothes :)

Focus you poor thing, that sounds terrible. I am a bit jealous of your business-like hours, the modules I'm teaching on are mainly new post-periodic-review, or on a new course.

I'm also in my first year as a fulltime, having emigrated to the UK only in September to take this position up. I am terrified I'll lose my job as I'm still going to be in my probation period (1 full year), and I'll be the only female member of staff with children.

But we never thought this would happen, having tried for nearly 3 years without a sniff, so I will just deal with it as it comes.

I've not had sickness yet. Just a bit of nausea. Stilllll spotting though. I'm going to call the midwife tomorrow and see if I can get an early scan this week for piece of mind. I'll be 6+2 tomorrow so they should be able to see something on the scan.

coffee - that was my DD with my 2 year old DS three years ago can't believe it! Excellent DD. He was born on 28th but I remember that feeling of wondering if I was going to be the last!

Not had the most wonderful day today, 3 year old DS has a bug and has been barfing and pooing all over the place. Grim. I'm kind of glad it's too early for morning sickness!

Room for another one? Got a bfp, so will be due on the 20/11 which is the same due date as our ds who rocked up a little early last year on the 2/11! Two babies with barely a year apart, it's going to be madness, and we can't blooming wait! Fingers crossed all goes well.

Looks like I may be leaving you all, my brown spotting has turned into heavy bleeding so looks like I'm miscarrying. Waiting for dr to ring me back as it is not self referral to EPAS. My heart is breaking

Thumperroo there's a few of us who have either had around the same age gap or will be having it this time, so your in good company! my dd was born 18/11/12 and my ds 16/11/13 and I can assure you it can be madness at times, but its mostly wonderfull. now I'm expecting dc3 23/11/15 so 3 under 3 for us can't wait to add to the chaos
