halestone · 14/03/2015 22:22

Anyone else noticed we havn't managed to get anyone with a EDD of the 5th? We need one bonfire night baby.

ninjabeer · 15/03/2015 00:13

Excellent news on the Stilton front halestone and lemon phew!

I'm hoping I can keep wearing my dresses and leggings for a good while but may need some kind of work wardrobe solution. An excuse to go shopping methinks!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.

ShortLashes · 15/03/2015 00:15

Congrats to all the new BFP-ers! orange and bowies, I went for a run and it made my boobs so sore! They've been fine the rest of the time so it's really put me off! Need to keep it up though as I feel permanently hungry at the mo and don't have much discipline...

My hairdresser said I looked different somehow today and asked if I was pregnant! Hope most people aren't so intuitive.

Can someone add me as I can't do it on my phone?
Mrscatmad31, 30, baby no 1 edd 4/11/15

ninjabeer · 15/03/2015 08:22

DH has said we can tell our mums today! I'm so excited! I know it is still early but we would tell them should the worst happen and I think both may have given up hope of our ability to procreate.

mrscatmad31 · 15/03/2015 08:34

ninja we told our in laws last night, gave mil a ball of yellow wool Grin
she was so happy! We would tell them too if something happened so may as well tell them now

TwoBeesInTheHive · 15/03/2015 08:54

thanks for adding me newmrsx Grin

dh told his brother yesterday, who will tell his wife, which probably means we will have to tell the rest of his family pretty soon, which also means we will have to tell mine. arrgh not ready for this yet. my period would be due today, still feels way too early to have all family know Sad especially when I know there will be more 'are you crazy/stupid' responses than 'congratulations we are happy for you'. infact doubt we will get any of those, especially from my family.
any ideas of good responses to bad reactions??

orangebud · 15/03/2015 09:18

It sounds like there are going to be a few announcements today - me included Grin. I'll be telling my immediate family and two best friends. I know they will be thrilled.

twobees I hope it isn't as bad as you are thinking. They may surprise you. If not I just found this for you

pregnancy.about.com/od/announcingyourpregnancy/a/badreactions.htm

Mulligrubs · 15/03/2015 09:50

Twobees I am not sure I will get a good reaction, my DS is 16 months so they will all think it is too soon (they believe in 3-4 year age gaps) plus I was planning my wedding this year which they were all looking forward to. Not sure if finances will now allow for a wedding and a baby in one year (unless we elope which will annoy a few people). So while I think they will be polite and nice about it I know deep down they won't be thrilled.

May wait til after the scan - that way we can show them the pic and they will be a bit more excited! With our son we announced it to immediate family at 8 weeks but I am actually enjoying having it as a secret so farSmile

mrstothemr · 15/03/2015 09:51

Can I join please? Pregnant with #2 due on 7th Nov, swing between elation as last pg was ectopic (this confirmed not) and a little scared on how I'm going to look after a 2 year old and newborn Grin

mrstothemr · 15/03/2015 09:52

Oh and I'm 34 at the mo

ninjabeer · 15/03/2015 09:58

He's now decided he can't come with me to my folks as he has too much work to do. Angry grrrr I'm not going to tell them on my own - they would find that very odd. Still I'm going to tell my best mate anyway and probably it's best to wait a few more weeks. frustrating though.

FlossyLil · 15/03/2015 10:02

Going to tell my parents today. Will tell in-laws next time we see them, but know MIL won't be that thrilled, as she never is about anything! FIL will love it though.

Morning all and happy mother's day! Flowers

May I take a nervous step onto this bus? I've had 3 positive tests this weekend but I'm not even 4 weeks yet so naturally apprehensive.

I'm going to read the whole thread now to catch up! I already recognise a few from the conception buses

CoffeeTwo, 31, baby #2, EDD 26/11

ninjabeer · 15/03/2015 10:59

Welcome to Mrstothemr and coffeetwo massive congratulations to you both.

So good to see ladies from the bus hopping aboard. Hold on tight and scream if you wanna go faster! Smile

Good luck with all the announcements today.

tootsroots · 15/03/2015 11:03

Coffee! Hello and congrats!!!

Misscarter I also work my Dh and we did an epu emergency sprint last week... I just pretended nothing happened!!!

I had a wedding yeatersay - food was hard as Brie and rare meat so I ate a lot of choc cake/ held a champers glass all eve. Danced a lot but hit a wall at 10pm.

So toddled home In a can progressive feeling more ill... And then spent 3 hours throwing up! Morning sickness has firmly hit this morning and about to take mum to a posh tea in town and tell her - whilst not looking ill or being unable to eat cake. Not sure of her reaction - from excessively happy or ... That's nice dear indifference as she is not Keen about hates babies and small kids.

I swear I will never eat choc cake again!

6weeks today!

Anyone else's ms hit hard?

CoffeeTwo · 15/03/2015 11:17

Thank you ninja and hellooooo to toots! :)

My only symptom so far is very sore boobs. Ouch.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 15/03/2015 11:43

bees - when you announce, I think your next sentence should be: "and obviously we're thrilled". Accompanied by a wide but firm smile. Only a very rude person would then say something negative in response

Hope it works!

Hope everyone is having a good day. Of out for lunch later. Feels quite odd to think that, all being well, we will have a 3 month old baby to take along next year along with a 3 and a 2 year old!

I have a feeling that MS will strike in the next week or so. At the moment, I'm only feeling mildly nauseous at various times but it's building up. Need to be very industrious next week as got lots to do

NewMrsX · 15/03/2015 12:08

Is anyone else struggling with tiredness? Getting to about 2pm and the exhaustion hits although weirdly it disappears again around 8ish.

Good luck to everyone telling family and friends the good news Flowers

mrstothemr · 15/03/2015 12:33

Morning sickness and tiredness have definitely hit here, along with that air headed feeling like someone has put sky in the top of my head.

Can't work out if I need to eat or eating is gross, want to tidy but end up feeling very floaty (and not in a good way). And the new bedtime is around 8.30. Poor dh

CishAndFips · 15/03/2015 13:32

happy mothers day team november Flowers. i have been so spoilt today got a to my wife mothers day card [first married mothers day] and a card, box of lindor and a kindle (wanted one forever) of ds 1 and peanut. i was so touched and it hit me that next year i will have 2 children. i burst into tears and ds ran over and give me a hug and said why are you sad? tried to explain that i was crying because i was happy but he just shook his head and said your very silly mummy Blush

mrstothemr · 15/03/2015 13:34
