Only symptom I'm facing really is tiredness but I'm trying to keep active to get my rush of endorphins!

mrsscarlettbutler · 14/03/2015 11:04

Hello please can I join the bus? Am 30 and 6 weeks 3 days with #1. EDD 4/11. So far mainly just panicking at everything that could go wrong, which I'm sure isn't good for the bean. Had a scare yesterday with a gush of bleeding so DH and I went to EPU. They were absolutely brilliant and we saw a little heartbeat blinking away at us and measuring bang on for my dates. No reason they could see for the bleeding so they said to take it easy for the next few days. I'm taking full advantage of this, poor DH!

Slightly awkward now though because DH and I work for the same company, and our dash for EPU meant he had to miss a meeting and tell his team he'd had to take me to hospital. It's a big company but we have a lot of mutual friends there, and word seems to have spread fast - I've been fending off texts of 'omg are you ok?!' Any ideas for reasons why I might have to go to hospital in the middle of the day but now be totally fine?!

2 of my close friends on my team know what's going on so they've spread the word that I had a family emergency, so my immediate work situation is covered. I'm just not ready for the world (and my boss) to know just yet....

Sorry for epic post- have added my stats below.

halestone · 14/03/2015 11:19

Congratulations to all the new people with BFPsThanks I'm loving this bus getting busier Grin

I'm going to Alton Towers tomorrow its been arranged for months and have no idea how to get out of going on the rides. Hopefully i'll manage to keep people from guessing by saying i just want to stay with Dd in Cbeebies land.

ninjabeer · 14/03/2015 12:23

I hope you feel better mrsscarlett how scary! I'd be inclined to say it is personal and leave it at that. You don't need to explain anything until you want to And most people will stop asking after a gentle 'I'do rather not talk about it'

Yesterday I went to the pub and fended off not drinking with a half truth about a health kick and being on medication for bronchitis which is sort of true. I hate fibbing!

I'm helping out a friend in her deli today and it is torture. So much cheese and meat that I can't have! Agggggh! I'm sure this is he I'll get busted by turning down brie and Stilton!

Also getting hassle from friends and family about booking holidays but we're just getting our heads around our news and need a bit of time to figure out what we can afford.

I wish we could just tell everyone but really don't want to tempt fate.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 14/03/2015 12:41

can someone add me to the stats? I can't do it from my phone.

Twobeesinthehive, 24, baby #3, EDD 23/11

I'm looking forwards to announcing it at 12 weeks, but I'm dreading telling my parents. I know they wont be happy about it. they won't even fake a 'congratulations'. I have a friend who is 4m pregnant, she was my bump buddy last time and 3 months ahead of me, so will be the same again this time. I've told her already, infact she knew before my husband! so I'm letting all my pregnancy excitment out on her Grin

kep1979 · 14/03/2015 12:52

Hi all,

Having a bit of a stress today. I've had some brown spotting and feeling quite sore in the hip area, not cramps but tender; we had sex this morning, which we've avoided so far as we are both scared stiff! So now dh has vowed not to get near me again and we are both wortied. As i haven't seen the midwife yet i have no idea who to call, or if i should just chill, as it is only when i wipe after the loo.

GotTheKey · 14/03/2015 13:17

Kep- I have read that sometimes it is common to spot after having sex this early on. So perhaps just rest up for the afternoon.
I am also too scared to do it!! Poor DH :-/ !

FlossyLil · 14/03/2015 13:37

mrsscarlett, you could always say a rumbling appendix maybe?
Kep - I had brown spotting from before I got my bfp, for about two weeks, it gradually went. I mentioned this to the doctor and they said nothing to worry about. Also when I had this I did some reading on the internet, and it said sex can help clean things out a bit. Brown blood is always old blood. Try not to worry Smile

Lemondrizzletwunt · 14/03/2015 13:47

Ninja You can have stilton!!!!

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/foods-to-avoid-pregnant.aspx#cheese

halestone · 14/03/2015 14:17

Ninja i was going to say the same you can have stilton.

Kep, i agree with the other posters brown blood is old blood hopefully just caused by sex. If your worried though ring your local Gynae unit and they will be able to advise you.

mrscatmad31 · 14/03/2015 14:35

soo tired at the moment, just fell asleep on the couch!
any one else's appetite decreased? not being sick or anything just don't have much of an appetite (not complaining!) Smile

orangebud · 14/03/2015 15:18

Great news crumbelina I'm very tempted to go for an early scan too. Trying to hold out to the 12 weeks, but not sure I will last that long Grin.

bowiesjumper 3km sounds just fine. Well done for going out Smile.

Hi to everyone else - hope the weekend is going well!

Crumbelina · 14/03/2015 15:37

Thanks so much Bowie and Orange! I couldn't resist the temptation and it was well worth the extra money. Bit nerve-wracking, mind. First I worried if there was anything there, then if there was a heartbeat, then if the measurement was ok. It's all so new to me as well.

Well done on the run Bowie! I'm tired just going up the stairs. I need to get on my bike and round the park but I can't quite face it until it gets warmer ...

Mulligrubs · 14/03/2015 15:50

Congratulations on all the new BFPs!

Anyone still not got many symptoms? I'm approx 7 weeks(irregular periods!) and no sickness yet, thank God! Last time it was awful, couldn't cope with my 17month old if I already had it! Just got slightly tender breasts and the odd cramping around my tummy but that is all. I don't actually feel pregnant sometimes and it worries me!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 14/03/2015 16:21

ugh the tiredness is hitting hard today. and a strong back ache and head and neck ache. I'm just one big ache Sad nice relaxing bubble bath tonight after kids go to bed I think Smile

UnderEstherMate · 14/03/2015 17:44

Anyone else really missing wine already? I'm going out for dinner with friends today and have just had the sad realisation that I won't be having a drink with them! 9 months of no wine!

TheTravellingLemon · 14/03/2015 18:02

For those of you who have been pregnant before, how would you say this one is shaping up compared to your other(s)?

This is my second pregnancy and is totally different from my first. I don't have sore boobs at all, but I generally feel much sicker and I've been getting far more period like pains and little aches and niggles. I also feel much more tired.

NoMoreSashimi · 14/03/2015 18:10

I thought I'd miss wine and coffee, but the constant nausea is just overruling everything, I'm just happy snuggling on the sofa with camonmille tea...
Well done everyone who's attempting exercise, I need to get back on the bike, goal for next week!

TakesTwoToTango · 14/03/2015 18:16

Virtually no symptoms at all here, but it's early days (4+6) so still time!

Crumbelina · 14/03/2015 18:38

I'm normally a real lush and love a daily latte, but the nausea has wiped any desire for either!

So tired today. Supposed to be sorting out 2 rooms piled high with dusty boxes and I'm so slow. The cheeky nap didnâ??t help either. Smile

TwoBeesInTheHive · 14/03/2015 18:42

lemon this is 3rd for me and I've not felt anything this early before. didn't get any symptoms til 6 weeks ish with the other 2, this time I've felt nautious and achey and tired since a week after ovulating! crazy how different they all are! Smile

Thank you for those providing exercise inspiration. Deffo need to get out for a run! Question for those who are on 2nd/3rd pregnancies, at what point did you have to start wearing maternity clothes? I live in dresses and leggings or tights so I'm hoping not to have to buy many clothes for myself.
