All of a sudden I seem to need no sleep... Been awake since 3, not good with a 7mo DC and work til 10pm! Finally starting to feel tire again, no good when DC will be up any minute

reb2g08 · 13/03/2015 06:48

I'm the opposite! I have been going to bed about 8pm and sleeping right through, I'm completely exhausted. My lower back has started to hurt now also.

orangebud · 13/03/2015 07:04

Morning All

Bleached - try not to take a huge gulp of water when taking tablets (if you do). It can make them harder to get down.

Sojii - I'm exactly the same. I got to tell my GP this week and then had an acupuncture appointment where I could tell someone else. I just want to tell everyone, but will have to settle for telling my parents and MIL on Sunday.

TheTravellingLemon · 13/03/2015 07:16

This happened this morning! I can't believe it. 18 months of trying. So many tears. It looks like EDD is 9th November, though I think it will more likely be around the 20th. I have a DS already. GrinGrinGrin

Great news TheTravellingLemon!! Welcome. I'm due on the 08/11 Smile

Focusfocus · 13/03/2015 07:35

Morning all! Welcome new bfps!

I'm going to sleep at 8-830 each not, waking at 4 and going back to sleep till 7 when alas the work day has to begin. Days I work from home I do get exercise by taking pup out to the park in the sun twice a day half hour each time.

Dinners are getting beyond us. Wednesday we had Burger King as treat. But yesterday I intended to cook a South Indian fish curry with brown rice but just couldn't. So ended up going to tescos and getting grilled chicken drumsticks and baked chicken nuggets from their hot food deli counter and lots of salad and that was dinner. Guilty :(

ninjabeer · 13/03/2015 07:46

Congratulations thetravellinglemon welcome to the gang!

orangebud I'm desperate to tell the world but DH wants to wait until 12 weeks. I'm going to work on him though!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 13/03/2015 08:05

congrats to other newbies! did a frer this morning and got a definite positive and got a strong positive on a cheapy yesterday so I can finally let myself get excited!! I've been feeling nautious all week but thought I was coming down with a sickness bug thats been going round the family. but now I think it must be ms. I've never had it this early. I haven't even missed my period yet! really hope this doesn't mean I'm going to get it bad this time Sad I didn't suffer that much with the other two.

Karmanna13 · 13/03/2015 08:05

Morning all and welcome new BFPs!

I'm at a stage where I could just sleep forever, but was woken up at 5am by our Chihuahua puppy doing a tap dance on my very sore boobs. Took her out and when I came back DS (3yo) was wide awake and demanded his porridge, so early start for me. Might have to have a nap later.

Last pregnancy we waited until after the 12 week scan to tell people, but this time we reckoned that we would tell family and close friends as if something did go wrong we would tell them about it anyway. I'm useless at keeping secrets!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 13/03/2015 08:07

I'm also desperate to tell the world! I kept my pregnancy with ds a secret til I was 6 months, and this time I want to shout it to the world and I'm not even 4 weeks yet! Grin

I do think, considering how common MCS are, there should be loads more openness and conversation about them. Then maybe one day the whole pressure to keep it a secret thing will die down and it will become more of an easy journey through those already stressful early weeks/months. I've often found hardly anyone talks about their MCS in real life but the moment someone mentions having one, women come up with their own stories of such pain and you can see a bit more support at the time might have been helpful.

Having said that I've only told my mother who I am not close to but somehow we end up taking a lot on skype. Feel a bit confused as to why I told her. But anyway she'll help by coming over during the birth which overlaps perfectly with her university vacations (she's a prof). Have also told a female mentor who I hugely admire and respect and also my (male) boss in confidence because I needed to remove an uphill climb from my workload, he was great and knows that a part of heading a department with 35 women in the 30-35 age bracket means loads of maternity leaves :)

Planning to tell my Dad next month on a particular date which is 10 weeks for us but also New Years Day in my culture. Will hopefully be a great special surprise on a special day :)

In other matters, I completed 6 weeks today and am - drum toll - halfway through the first trimester thank you very much! Attached today's pee stick!! The test line has now wayyyy exceeded the strength of the control line! Counting down days to the early scan on Thursday which will be 6 + 6.

BowiesJumper · 13/03/2015 09:11

Happy week six day focus! Mine is tomorrow.

Just sitting on the tube trying not to smell people. Barf.

I'm super tired but waking up dead early too. Very annoying.

Hi all... got my BFP last night :) EDD is 20.11.15 or thereabouts! Soooo happy! Got some slight cramping but other than that feeling ok so far! First pregnancy

stace1986 · 13/03/2015 10:21

Sorry pressed post too soon! First pregnancy so I know to take folic acid and found out yesterday I need to take vitamin D but is there anything else I should be taking? TIA :)

BowiesJumper · 13/03/2015 10:37

Congrats Stace! I think you're ok with just those two and a healthy diet. I'm on a pregnancy multi vit that's got lots of other things in but folic is the most important at this stage.

GotTheKey · 13/03/2015 10:38

Congrats to all!

Ninja- I have been either falling asleep at 9pm and waking really early or not being able to sleep until midnight and still waking early!! It was 5am this morning and I was STARVING!! I can't stop eating!!

stace1986 · 13/03/2015 10:52

Lovely thanks Bowiesjumper. I have also been falling asleep really early but woke at about 3 feeling really hungry! Can't seem to sleep in late at all!

tootsroots · 13/03/2015 10:55

Morning Team november!I am BACK IN THE GAME! have to adjust my edd to the 8th not the 4th november.

I had my booking appt yesterday based on my lmp date but only 5+5 today according to my EPU panic scan on Wed.

Forget the bump on board badge, i needed a move or i will throw up in your lap badge... yes i was the lady at Balham looking like she was a tube geek sitting on the side of the platform watching the tubes pass!

Still spotting and cramps overnight but far calmer! I have been told at my booking appt that i have two risk factors, asthma and mum had thrombosis, and as i fractured my back and had PTSD after an accident, i have been allocated a team of specialists to deal with my pregnancy... i feel like any other mother healthy and happy so it was a strange feeling to be told... high risk!

Welcome Newbies!!! huge congrats and welcome!

winter are you still lurking after starting the thread? hope all is ok!

Well done to those who cannot swallow pills - mega kudos for trying so hard!

CishAndFips · 13/03/2015 10:58

kep1979 · 13/03/2015 11:17

Yay 6 weeks today! And only another 8 days until the first scan - cannot wait to check that all is well. I have the day off today to do absolutely nowt, so about to have a long soak in the nowhere near as hot as I want it bath with a face and hair mask on. Am snacking constantly to try to keep the nausea at bay, so far so good. And day two of managing to chew those pregnacare horse tablets and the omega capsule. Had marmite on toast to take the taste away but think that may join vinegar in things I really can't face any more.

And glad you are doing well toots Smile

BowiesJumper · 13/03/2015 11:34

I was wondering about you toots, good news! Yes, you will get more scans which is a nice reassurance.

Candlesonthetable · 13/03/2015 11:42

Hi everyone, I’m cautiously joining the thread. I have had BFPs over the past few days, but very faint and on VERY out of date tests! But today I got a BFP on a Clearblue Digi (still expired, but figured that it would be unlikely to have 12 false positives on 3 different types of tests!) No symptoms yet but my period isn’t even due until Sunday. My EDD is 23.11. I already have a DD. I will at some point use an in-date test!
