Hi there,

I take Zita West's Vital Essence 1 and Zita West's Vital DHA. it's pricier than everything else that I saw and that could either be down to the fancy packaging and/or to the amounts of ingredients. But I am sticking to it. Have taken it since ovulation day in the February cycle so since conception. Tll the day before I was on Pregnacare conception and vital DHA.

mrswishywashy · 12/03/2015 13:14

I'm taking seven seas pregnancy, vitamin d and vegetarian omega 3, 6 and 9.

So jealous of all those with symptoms. I had really strong ones the second week after transfer and they've disappeared after testing. Eleven days until viability scan at fertility clinic and have booked midwife for the week after when I will be eight weeks. So scared that things are going to go wrong and I'm on such a high dose of progesterone that it could be holding anything bad from happening. I just see no way to relax this whole process has exhausted me.

halestone · 12/03/2015 13:21

I don't take any vitamins at all other than the folic acid.

MisswishywashyThanks i hope you can relax after your scan. I can't imagine how stressed your feeling at the moment.

BleachedBarnet · 12/03/2015 13:26

I've ordered some antenatal all-in-ones with folic acid but I'm terrible at swallowing pills so let's see how that goes Confused

Also spent a good amount of time on Amazon yesterday buying pregnancy books and yoga pregnancy - all that jazz! Now I'm on Ocado getting all the fruits/nuts/veg/lean protein I can handle. My OH has just gone off on a skiing holiday for a week so I'm planning on spending my time researching and getting healthy! My current diet isn't great tbh.

I know I'm further behind some of you but I'm jealous of the symptoms (know I won't be when they arrive!) as I feel no different at all, other than maybe needing to wee a tiny bit more regularly? I'm so new to all of this, no idea what I'm doing at all!

kep1979 · 12/03/2015 13:28

I started pregnancare max (two gigantic tabs plus a separate omega one) - started today! Before then i was taking the sevenseas ttc plus vit d and vit c tabs. I cannot swallow tablets so have to chew them - so these pregnacare are a test to see of I can manage it without being sick!

Karmanna13 · 12/03/2015 13:35

I'm also just eating folic acid, but I think I still have some Pregnacare tablets from my last pregnancy lying about - might be out of date though! I don't think you can get them over here but there must be an equivalent.

Tinymrscollings · 12/03/2015 14:06

Give it a week or two bleached, and you too could be lying on the sofa watching the Food Network because if you move to change it to something that'll make you feel less sick then you might actually be sick.

At least I'm working at home today, even if the Barefoot Contessa is making me gip.

Unthoughtknown · 12/03/2015 14:23

How far along are you bleached? I'm five weeks today and very few symptoms.

mrscatmad31 · 12/03/2015 15:02

I feel like a fraud as I don't have many symptoms. having said that I'm currently in bed as I don't have the energy to clean!

BowiesJumper · 12/03/2015 15:04

I'm on boots pregnancy support (with ginger I think) and omega 3 capsules.
They seemed more cost effective than the pregnacare ones but with the same ingredients.

BleachedBarnet · 12/03/2015 16:41

I'm very early days Unthought - 4+6! My dear old mum (once she'd finished bawling her eyes out) reckoned she didn't have any symptoms till about 8 weeks in so I'm holding tight :) I am feeling pretty tired all the time but as a life long insomniac that's not a strange state for me to be in!

roughtyping · 12/03/2015 17:33

Oh yes the smells!! I can smell everything!

My boobs are killing me too. I'm a FF and have broken a bra already Blush

I've been taken boots own folic acid + vitamin d, absolutely teeny pills

BowiesJumper · 12/03/2015 18:29

My boobs are fuller but I haven't burst out of my bra yet. Good thing a I'm a G cup already!

BleachedBarnet · 12/03/2015 19:02

Any suggestions on swallowing pills? I remember gagging on the MAP many moons ago and these supplements are giant Sad

On my third attempt with it now and it's all getting very soggy...

Sorry to hear about the sickness Tiny, hope it's not too bad this evening

Tinymrscollings · 12/03/2015 19:16

DS takes medication every day and we have a pill crusher so we can sprinkle his meds on his pudding or put them in juice. A couple of quid from Amazon and you can grind them to dust.

kep1979 · 12/03/2015 19:36

I just chew my tabs - tastes disgusting but afer a lifetime of chewing painkillers obvs only when I need to i'm kind of used to it. The seven seas ttc i was taking were teeny tiny and i still had to chew them! These pregnacare max are huge and it is two per day plus an omega - which is truly revolting as the oil tastes gross!

mrscatmad31 · 12/03/2015 19:40

I've started taking the pregnacare plus tablets tonight, makes me feel like I'm doing something! trying to eat healthier, my appetite seems to have decreased at the moment which I'm not complaining about!

reb2g08 · 12/03/2015 19:54

BowiesJumper I know what you mean- I taught the kids after they did PE today and I was nearly sick!
I'm taking pregnacare and the midwife said that was good!
I just booked my booking appointment as there is a funny system at my hospital. Also someone said my skin looks 'glowing' today! He doesn't know I'm pregnant! Smile

Sojii · 12/03/2015 22:57

Hi guys. Can I join in please? Have found out that I'm expecting my first. At 42 I never thought it would happen. I'm excited and bewildered in equal measures. Am dying to tell everyone though it's only six weeks. So I've been telling estate agents. I get the rush of telling someone without having to worry about seeing them again. Is that crazy?

ShortLashes · 12/03/2015 23:05

BleachedBarnet, re. pill swallowing, I find tilting my head forward rather then back seems to help. I have individual folic acid and vit D tablets and they are pretty tiny, but I still struggle!

I have really struggled with tiredness at work this morning- was literally falling asleep at my desk and in a meeting. Also felt nauseous all day and even lost my appetite, which is very rare! Do these symptoms tend to clear up after first trimester?

ShortLashes · 12/03/2015 23:13

Haha Sojii, I don't think that's crazy- on the contrary, it's an excellent strategy! I was tempted to tell a taxi driver who asked me if I had any kids, but I couldn't quite bring myself to admit I was pregnant (perhaps because I still can't quite believe it myself!) so I just said 'hopefully later this year'....

Congratulations btw Flowers

ninjabeer · 13/03/2015 06:25

Morning all, is anyone turning into an insomniac? Couldn't get to sleep until 2 and woke up at 5.30. Today is going to be knackering and there won't even be a gin and tonic at the end if it. Eek!

mrscatmad31 · 13/03/2015 06:40

Hey ninja, I keep waking several times a night, and once I'm awake I need a wee!
