Evening all. Just checking in while eating a bowl of super noodles to get me through the bedtime routine Blush

Stroan · 11/03/2015 19:46

Oh toots, so glad there was a heart beat. Take care x

Gobbolino - I'm attempting Slimming World. I was doing a food replacement diet until I got my BFP and I'm still pretty overweight. Felt I needed a bit of structure to ease me back into eating normally (and to stop me eating crisp sandwiches three times a day) and Slimming World seems to be the only recommended plan. I'm not doing it to lose weight, just to stay healthy.

If anyone is looking for name inspiration, they've just published ALL the baby names used in Scotland last year.

halestone · 11/03/2015 20:16

Toots get plenty of rest, i hope its just a case of mixed up ovulation dates. Thanks

Stroan snap i'm doing slimming world and have been since October will see how the sickness is before deciding whether to pay for another 12 week course. Got 4 weeks left on my current 12 week go. Have consistantly lost weight whilst pregnant though.

I am really sorry i can't remember the name of the person on sickness tablets and i'm on my phone so can't see messages. I completely refused to take medication with HG last time as i'm stupid i have a really weird paranoia about medications and also know that medication didn't work on my sister who also had HG. So i'm in 2 minds what to do this time. Its not like last time where i could lie round feeling sorry for myself i have a 2 year old to run round after. I'm just going to see how it goes i think.

roughtyping · 12/03/2015 07:43

Is anyone else feeling really bloated? It's horrible. I feel like I just look massive Sad how do I get rid of it?! Lots of water?

ninjabeer · 12/03/2015 07:51

I hear you roughtyping I'm so bloated I look like I'm showing already and my boobs are agony although I can't decide if it's sore ribs from the bronchitis that I'm getting over. Can't quite get over that these could actually be symptoms after nearly a year of imagining symptoms whilst ttc!

bugoven · 12/03/2015 08:36

Bloating here too and the boobs, oh the boobs! Like two fiant, painful boulders already. It's amazing what I forgot from last time. All very real symptoms I promise! Smile

Focusfocus · 12/03/2015 08:51

Oh yes, nothing like some boob talk at 9 am. Mine just feel solid and round like really rounnnnnd. I am a DD and spilling out already. The nipples were my first symptoms anyway at 6 DPO and till now they are tender, raw sore and sticking out like pebbles.

Trying to not gain any weight in the first trimester, and so far so good, although don't know what lies in the remainder of the second half of first trimester, only six weeks gone today.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 12/03/2015 08:54

hello all. tentatively joining as I got a faint bfp on a cheapy test this morning! not sunk in yet, and will do a digi test tomorrow to confirm. I'm only around 10dpo so haven't even missed period yet. which puts me around the 23rd Nov! I'm (in a few days) 24, and this will be dc3, all November babies too!! and if all goes to plan with this pregnancy, I'll have 3 under 3!! dd is 2y3m, ds is 1y3m. having one of each, I'll be trying my hardest to have a suprise this time round as I have no preference either way. anyway enough about me. hi again! soo excited to be joining! Grin

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 12/03/2015 09:00

Hi 2bees - congrats! We're kind of in the same boat as my DS is 26 months and my DD is 13 months. I'm having all being well DC3 too! Maybe we can have a mutual support club

TwoBeesInTheHive · 12/03/2015 09:06

Definitely Gobbo ! glad there's someone else just as nuts as me Grin after the craziness of 2 under 1 nothing can phase me now!Wink

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 12/03/2015 09:11

Grin. Our DD was a surprise BFP. I'm 37 now so we started TTC as thought it would take ages - maybe a year as it took 4 months to conceive DS. Obviously not as this was our first month! I'm a bit shocked but glad in a way as hoping they will all be quite close and I would worry about DC3 being left out if we had a huge gap. Am trying to think positive thoughts at all times - and not freak out at the thought of breast feeding with the other two running around!

TwoBeesInTheHive · 12/03/2015 09:19

I feel the same. my 2 are so close. I didn't want to leave a huge gap and then dc3 be the odd one out! I fount out I was pregnant with my ds when my dd was 3 months old, I hid the pregnancy til I was 6 months out of fear of what people would think and say. it ruined my whole pregnancy. so I'm determined I'm going to enjoy every second this time. screw everyone else, I'm happy and looking forwards to adding to my brood Grin

CishAndFips · 12/03/2015 09:28

congratulations on your bfps newbiees. toots look after yourself, glad you heard the heartbeat, keeping everything crossed for you. feeling very much the same today although the weepies are starting to kick in. cried at the kfc ad yesterday Blush. no idea for names i do know however that dh and i will never agree, for a girl i like mia he hates it he likes abigail i hate it.

TwoBeesInTheHive · 12/03/2015 09:34

thanks Cish Grin I have a definite boys name but not sure on a girls!

Karmanna13 · 12/03/2015 09:50

Toots, so glad you heard a heartbeat, fx all is ok!

I am considering trying to get an early appointment as I had an ectopic in May 2012 (when ds was 4 months) and had to remove one of my tubes, and I've read that this could mean I have increased risk of another ectopic.

Yes to bloated and sore boobs! I had no symptoms when I tested on Tuesday, but in the last couple of days I've developed sore boobs, metal taste in mouth, extreme fatigue (had to have a nap in the middle of the day yesterday - perks of working from home!), loads of discharge (sorry!).

Re diet, I'm planning to eat as much as I can before morning sickness hits - last time I was so ill for almost 3 months I actually lost 2 stone. I'm hoping it will be better this time but not taking any chances so will eat while I still can. Smile

Hope everyone is feeling ok today!

kep1979 · 12/03/2015 10:01

Yes yes to the bloating... yesterday I looked properly pregnant as I was so bloated. And my boobs are massive and sore and hard and could hang things off my nips

I am quite proud of myself, managed to take chew my first two pregnacare max tablets - still trying to pluck up the courage to take the omega cap! It has taken two glasses of water, several mouthfuls of decaf tea and half a piece of cheese on toast, but I've not vommed yet!

Talking of vom, had my first massive wave of food aversion. MIL had made fish, chips and veg for dinner last night... I fancied the veg but really not anything else. Went into kitchen and DH was covering his food with vinegar - the smell hit me like a sledgehammer and I had to run off! Didn't actually vom but it was close. Luckily my boys aren't very observant!

I have tomorrow off, so I can sleep and watch Cheltenham all day Grin

annbag my advice is ignore it all. they don't know what they are talking about yes its hard and a big learning curve handling 2 babies at first. but its absolutely amazing. don't ruin your pregnancy worrying and stressing about it like I did. your heart will melt over and over as you watch the relationship between them grow. my two look like twins now. everyone who doesn't know us thinks they are. yes we get lots of looks (probably alot more once I'm sporting a bump!) but I like to think they are of admiration rather than horror Grin

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 12/03/2015 10:44

Annbag - don't worry. It is hard but you can get through it. I tried to always have a lie down when DS did - which helped. Personally, I think I would find things harder looking after a non-napping three year old whilst pregnant so hope you can get some rest at the moment

Then just easy meals for him and maybe a little walk in the pram each day or out in the garden of you can manage it

my ds walked at 8 months (crawled at 4m!) he's very big for his age, weighs the same as dd and is only about an inch shorter than her. the only thing that gives it away is their talking. dd is a chatterbox and ds has only just said his first word and still babbles alot. other than that you would never know there's a year between them!

yes don't wish it away. It's so much easier when they stay where you put them!Grin

BowiesJumper · 12/03/2015 12:40

I can smell EVERYTHING at the moment - which isn't pleasant when you're on the tube with people with questionable hygiene...

I'm still spotting a fair bit, which I hope will stop soon. It's very light at the moment, but it's been for a couple of days now. If it doesn't stop, I might give my EPU a ring early next week (I'm 6wks on Sat) for a scan to reassure me!

heloharris · 12/03/2015 12:47

What kind of supplements do you guys take? One of the products with everything in them or separates?

I've got some individual folic acid tablets and some individual vitamin D tablets.

Not looking bloated, but blimey I'm windy!
