Hey ladies- just On way from work to early pg unit at my hosptial - heavy heavy bleeding for the last few hours and bad pain - Dh is with me as I am in such a panic - I know there is nothing we can do but am so upset and anxious. By my count I am 6 weeks today but as my cycles are fecked we simply do not know for sure. Could be 9. Sad sorry for the downer. I would take another envelope of doom instead of this right now.

Oh toots. Thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed that everything is okay.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 11/03/2015 11:40

Hi everyone - can I join please?

This is DC3. I already have a DS who is 26 months and a DD who is 13 months.

Quite shocked to be here as this was our first month of TTC. However, not as shocked as when had surprise BFP with DD! Am 37 and had been reading g too many Daily Mail headlines so was expecting this bfp to take ages.

Due date is 17 November. Not much in the way of symptoms apart from being exhausted and sore books on and off.

I hope everything is ok Toots.

Just back from my first GP Appointment (5+4). I'm getting referred straight to the obstetrician due to the long term medication I am on. I knew it would happen as I had seen said obstetrician before TTC for this very reason. Just having to wait for the letter and not worry too much now...

AmandaMae · 11/03/2015 12:07

Oh toots - thinking of you. Lots of love.

Hello all,

I'd like to join too please?

I'm new to forums as well as to pregnancy so please forgive me if I'm not up on all the slang yet! This will be my first child, my partner and I decided to start trying at Christmas so I'm pretty shocked it's happened so quickly. Did two at home tests, now I suppose will have to go to the doctors.

Quite nervous about it all as I haven't been registered at a doctors for years - severely queasy and nervous of hospitals - will have to get over that now! Will add myself to the list Smile

Congratulations to everyone!

Hello,

Can I join too please?

Like BleachedBarnet, totally new to forums and pregnancy. Came off the pill in December and only really started trying (at the right time) last month and really did not think it would happen so soon! I did two tests yesterday, am and pm, and got two stonking BFPs!

DH is over the moon as am I, but I am quite anxious about it all. Happy but anxious.

And I love coffee, bye bye coffee.

My stats are:

Hi all! Ooh, Heloharris, we're EDD buddies! Smile

Keeping everything crossed for you toots Flowers

kep1979 · 11/03/2015 13:17

I had my GP appointment yesterday - he just asked a couple of questions and will send a form to the midwife who will do my proper booking in appointment - will probably be a few weeks. Have my early scan on 21st March - looking forward to it but also will be a bag of nerves beforehand.

amanda I'm in a quandary about the harmony test - I wouldn't want to go straight from high risk on combined to amnio/cvs as I know the harmony is loads more accurate... but not sure the timescales for the combined mean I could fit a harmony in after results from combined before making decision on amnio. Hmmmmm - may have to google some more.

I just don't know if the age thing alone would push me into a high risk category so wanted to make sure I was prepared - from what my GP said yesterday at 36 my risk is about 1/256 (don't quote me - he didn't seem too sure either) and the cut off for high risk on combined was 1/250. BUT presumably if my bloods and NT were v low risk then overall I could still be low risk. I think I may be over-thinking this

Crumbelina · 11/03/2015 13:19

Oh no Toots! I'll be thinking of you today - I hope everything works out ok. Flowers

BowiesJumper · 11/03/2015 13:33

Oh toots. Thinking of you. I hope all is well.

TakesTwoToTango · 11/03/2015 13:57

Oh toots, good luck at the EPU! Really hope everything is okay.

Welcome to all the newbies. Congrats on your bfps!

tootsroots · 11/03/2015 13:57

Thanks so much for the support ladies.
Welcome newbies.
Good news is bleed was 'very heavy' but dildo cam showed blips ( husbands name for ultrasound blip! little heart beating still... But she then was concerned how tiny blip is. she thinks blip is measuring 5+3 but I know I ov'd 10th feb and found out 9days later... So now in a panic that blip is not growing as that's what the nurse said as a warning to manage my expectations ...
So have been sent home to 'rest' and take down my stress levels... Easier said than done... Not best news but not the worst......

All I want is tea and choc but caffiene is out of the window.

Stomping off to nap in a hope to get over myself...

TakesTwoToTango · 11/03/2015 14:00

Go toots glad it's not the news you feared but still keeping everything crossed for you. Have you got a follow up appointment to go back? Did they do bloods?

Caffeine in high quantities may be out but a decaf tea and a piece of chocolate cake ought to be okay?

kep1979 · 11/03/2015 14:02

Oh toots Flowers - it is no wonder you feel stressed. Try to take it easy, and I will keep everything crossed for you.

AmandaMae · 11/03/2015 14:11

Kep, you can have the harmony at 10 weeks, so before the usual 12 week scan. We decided to go for it so that if we got a high risk result at the 12 week scan, we'd have another set of data to consider. I know I would not cope well with a two week wait after some (potentially) bad news!

I don't think your age alone puts you into a high risk category. No one has mentioned that to me and I'm 43 Blush; I was 37 with DS. And very clearly low risk once bloods and scan were factored in.

HTH.

Hello,

Can I join too please??

Have barely been on here. But after almost a year of trying got my bfp two weeks ago tomorrow - yay yay!! Still can't quite believe it, and keep doing tests, but they seem to get darker and darker each time!
