Thanks for the warning Ann - crikey!

Bowie, I'm having mine in Kingston but the company have locations all over London. On my phone so a bit fiddly to linky but Google ultrasound-direct.com and it should come up.

If you can get to Harley Street then the Fetal Medicine Centre is recommended by others. I think they donate all profits to charity.

BowiesJumper · 10/03/2015 06:42

Oh Kingston is near me. I'll take a look, thanks!

reb2g08 · 10/03/2015 06:50

Can someone add me please as can't manage to do on my phone!
reb2g08, 25, baby #1, EDD 6/11

Woke up with bad cramps that felt like period pains in the night- should I be worried?

TakesTwoToTango · 10/03/2015 09:03

Possibly constipation/trapped wind reb - very common! I take it no other symptoms?

tootsroots · 10/03/2015 09:32

Annbag, i was MORTIFIED!!! it came iwth a WELCOME BABY IN LONDON plastered on the front TO MY WORK DESK!!!!!!!! WHO said that was a bright idea!!!

I lied and said it was a close mate as a surprise.. my PA looked unconvinced and no one else saw it .. i think...

(caps represents the mortification)

BowiesJumper · 10/03/2015 09:36

Toots I would be FURIOUS. I often get stuff sent to work rather than home and would possibly have done so with the badge, so thanks for the warning!!

When are you starting to wear yours?

I might get one soon just so I have it in case I get unlucky with nausea in the early weeks.

TakesTwoToTango · 10/03/2015 09:39

Omg toots that's not the decision of someone who's ever been of is it?!?! Shock

For others - I don't know if it's still possible, but I got mine back with dc1 by asking at the ticket office in a large London tube station (baker st I think) and they just handed it to me.

TakesTwoToTango · 10/03/2015 09:39

pg

BowiesJumper · 10/03/2015 09:40

Reb, hopefully it's nothing. You can get 'stretching' pains as it were.

Was the pain really bad or on one side? If you're worried give your doc a call but try not to worry!

I was livid... imagine if more had seen it!! I have it now at home... i will use it when i feel too tired on the tubes... i come in on the northern line from near the end of the south bit ( please if you recognise me on here do not out me!!!) so need to sit... today i stood and felt all dizzy and hot but kept standing, badge will be needed sooner than planned i think.

I went online at TFL to get it but they look to have subcontracted to Notonthehighstreet who sent the envelope. have a mind to email them about their idiotic branding mortifying already emotional and moody women.

tootsroots · 10/03/2015 09:54

emailed Noths.com an angry and over the top email - which still doesnt cover my fury!

Mulligrubs · 10/03/2015 10:03

I saw the pic of the envelope toots it was not very discreet at all, I would have sent an angry email too!

Hope everyone is doing well! So far I haven't got morning sickness which I am hoping will be the case the whole way through, with my son I was ill up to 20 weeks! Got a tiny bit of nausea when I am hungry but it is nothing like the last time. I also have some stretching pains (like period cramps) on and off every day, I remember last time I got that on and off for quite a while as well. So it's a case of so far so good abd hoping it continues Smile

Thanks for adding me to list! Glad cramps are normal, they were quite low and not on one side just felt like period. Gone away now, thanks for calming me down girls! :)

What is this badge everyone speaks of?

Crumbelina · 10/03/2015 11:24

Hey Reb, I’ve had those pains a couple of times in the middle of the night and I think they’re normal. One episode was definitely constipation and I guess our bodies are going to be stretching and doing funny things.

I’ve brought forward my private scan to this Friday when I’ll be 7+6. Friday the 13th! I’m not superstitious but I’m slightly worried. Not enough to put me off though.

Crumbelina · 10/03/2015 11:26

Oh Toots it was you! I don't blame you for being furious, I would be too. I'm planning to get one of those badges and I would have probably had it posted to work. Thank you!

Had my first pregnancy panic moment today. Munched through a bowl of strawberries without washing them first Shock . Hopefully pregnancy will cure me of my minging ways once and for all!

tootsroots · 10/03/2015 13:23

A Baby on Board badge is something Pg women get to wear to help us gets seats on Tubes in rushhour - most people ( not only a few select men) almost need a med certifcate or a live ultrasound to prove it so we can sit down....

I am struggling with food in a way, it says not to weat deli meat, WHAT do people eat for lunch when they work full time and are too lazy and have no time to make a packed lunch?

AmandaMae · 10/03/2015 13:28

I already have my badge - thankfully I got it a couple of years ago, before the woefully indiscreet packaging! I put it on the other morning because the tubes were packed and I was feeling really queasy, but had to remember to take it off before I got to work. My worst fear is that I forget and waltz into the office, outing myself at 7 weeks!

I've just booked my Harmony test for 2 April, when I'll be 10+2. It includes a scan on the day, the blood test, and another scan (nuchal translucency) 2 weeks later, when the results should be back. If you ask, they will also tell you the gender - we fully intend to check that box!

kep1979 · 10/03/2015 13:58

amanda I was looking at this too, just not sure due to the . Does anyone know what the NHS does as standard if you're over 35... is it just combined and then see what results there are, if high risk then CVS/amnio? My MIL asked me if I had decided what to do about tests because of my age - and I hadn't really thought about it!

Bleeding a little bit more this morning. Called the community midwife number and the lady was absolutely lovely.

Have a scan at EPU this afternoon at 4.30pm.

Keep your fingers crossed for me girls!
