Well my symptoms are absolute exhaustion - am struggling to stay awake at my desk this morning whilst surfing the net , weeing every hour at least, hormonal skin, painful boobs (they feel like they've got bricks inside them) and I may be a wee bit irrational and emotional Blush I've had the odd wave of nausea, but trying to eat in the morning as soon as I wake up to stave it off - I've also got some little cartons of orange juice, as they a) help my blood sugar and b) get my bowels going Grin - forgot to mention the digestive system slowdown too!

Counting the days until we have our first scan - only 12 to go! Got GP appointment tomorrow afternoon, so will report back with what happens or doesn't

Happy Monday everyone head on desk

Yes Ann I keep getting twinges in my c-sec scar as well! Probably everything stretching the scar tissue, not very pleasant!

Ok.. PG hormones vs secret keeping vs being a bridesmaid help needed!!!

My DH and i just had an almighty argument over my wanting to tell my best mate this week. His family are being told not he 30th April when they are back from a long trip. he wants to tell them first before everyone else non pregnant me totally understands but i just have a block on what i can do otherwise basically...

I am going bridesmaids dress shopping this week... i know the dress she wants us to have fits snugly in a 12, but lets be honest i will be needing a 16 as i will be 8 months gone fingers crossed at the wedding in September.

I want to tell her so i can get the right size.. but she is insisting on buying them herself from a high street store... so i cant even sneakily buy it. it will fit me if 16 as it a very forgiving maxi dress with pleats etc. so a huge bump will fit - its just the top it and waist bit i am concerned about. At least with a 16 i can have it tailored to fit me if too big! Its £260 !!!!! ( i paid for hers when i got married at £290 so this is 'fair' as it were)

His plan is i left her buy the 14 ( or 12) and then i buy it myself in 16. then return the small one in late april when i can tell her... he doesn't get that 28 returns policy... or that i can just randomly request a size that obv is too big today!! OR i buy a dress nearer the time.. ( stock monthly update.. it probs won't be on sale!!)

What shall i do team november. I have to respect his view of telling family before others but i cant ruin her day by not fitting into a dress- i have cried, stropped and shouted all things i ever do over a sodding dress... is this what is due to come over the next 8 months?
Confused

BowiesJumper · 09/03/2015 11:33

I would tell her in that situation, it's too much money not to apart from anything else!!

His family don't have to know she knows as it were.

tootsroots · 09/03/2015 11:36

thats what i am thinking .. .a tiny white lie... Blush

BowiesJumper · 09/03/2015 11:38

Are we just adding ourselves to a list?

Toots, two of my best friends guessed this weekend - we haven't told my husband's family - firstly because it's SO early, but he'll probably tell them at the weekend (mother's day etc!). They won't ask who else knows!

TakesTwoToTango · 09/03/2015 11:42

Can you 'not tell her'. Ie say to her at the beginning of the day, quietly and away from others, "look, I cannot explain why, because much as I'd like to, DH has made me promise that I won't and it's really important to him that I don't, so please don't ask me any questions, and if you guess, please keep it to yourself because he would be gutted to think I broke his confidence, but I'm either going to need to get the dress in a larger size today, or possibly put off buying it for a few weeks (if that would be feasible/easier) and I'd be really grateful if you would just accept that and go with it and not question it'.

That way she'll almost certainly understand your situation but you haven't actually told her, whilst simultaneously swearing her to secrecy and explaining the situation with your DH.

I agree Toots - great idea from TakesTwo

I'm feeling awful again today - anyone want my nausea? Wink. I can barely eat most foods, I'm knackered and my breasts are sore.

Stats as follows. I feel like an imposter with my EDD in October but the October bus was pretty full by the time I came along!

I'm still getting a little bit of pinkish spotting on wiping today. I've spoken to my sister (midwife) who says it's nothing to worry about and can happen all the way through pregnancy. So as long as it doesn't turn into full flow red I will try not to worry.

Fingers crossed! I do wish it would stop though. I got a bit 2 weeks ago and it only lasted a day, so hopefully this will be similar and bugger off!!

ReeRee86 · 09/03/2015 14:40

I've had a bit more brown on wiping today too! It's hard not to worry but I think it is pretty common.

I have booked an early scan for Thursday. I know there won't be a lot to see but just confirmation that there is something in there and hopefully a heartbeat would be nice and might make me relax a little!

Ree, 28, Baby #1 EDD 28/10

I'm an October imposter too, I had obviously worked out my EDD wrong! I am convinced I will be later though due to late ovulation!

May I join the group? I've just pissed on a stick. Due 12th Nov. This is a planned 2nd child. My DD is 2yo. I am astonished I am pregnant. We only had sex once last month, and it was in the week after the charts said I would be fertile. Our toddler had flu so was up all night after night so we had no energy to do the deed at the proper time.

I'm delighted but so astonished. I have two friends currently trying for their first child and month after month they thrash around on the fertile dates and don't get lucky - but I - who made no proper effort to conceive get the Positive result. There's no fairness. Assuming the 12 weeks go well I'll have to be careful how I tell my friends.

NoMoreSashimi · 09/03/2015 16:25

Hi, can I come in too? I'm 7+1, due 25th of October. It was our first shot at TTC and tested negative when missed my period. So I thought it hadn't happened and thought that's it when I got proper period pains a week later. After 3 days of aches I tested again and BFP! Still can't believe it, waiting for something to happen anytime...
Been feeling terrible for a week now, normally not a fuzzy eater, but don't even want to think about food just now. Reading through all of your entries has helped a lot!

Crumbelina · 09/03/2015 16:33

Welcome NoMore! I'm 7+2 and know exactly how you feel - I guess we're at the same stage given our EDDs. I'm suddenly super-fussy with food and I'm sure you've seen some of my moany posts (oops!) Smile

Although it's different for every woman, I've read that morning sickness/nausea tends to peaks around weeks 8-9, which made my heart sink! I can just about cope if it stays at the same level but I'm going to struggle if it gets worse ... Sad

NoMoreSashimi · 09/03/2015 16:49

I know, Crumbelina, no way this can get much worse... On the other hand, my body seems suddenly totally fine with milk products, which made me feel poorly before. I had my first creamy pasta sauce last night and am still surprised I kept it down! :-)
