We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Hi all

I think I missed the last thread completely - been so busy the past few weeks and the pregnancy seems to be rushing by - 20w today and scan next week Smile

My SPD has started to get really bad, my pelvis actually crunched in bed last night - ouch. Weirdly though during the day it is not as painful.

Weight gain wise... 10lb (I think - as this was last week! Could be a lost worse by now!)

MuddyWellyNelly · 26/02/2015 12:29

Weight gain? No idea. About half a stone I think. 18+2.

Still not much bump though, so no idea where the weight is going. Except, is this normal, I seem to have two bumps? One down below belly button, and one small one above. Is the one above my intestines all squishing up? It's not a bump as such, just gone a bit convex.

Two weeks till my anomaly scan. Thought I maybe felt some movement last night but starting to stress again generally. I hate all the waiting. And now everyone knows, they talk so confidently about life with a baby, when I still am too scared to think beyond the next scan.

Hope everyone else is calmer than me!

broodylicious · 26/02/2015 14:49

I've gained 4lb. 19+4.

muddy, my bump/s the same. It looks so peculiar but I had this with dd at this stage so I was expecting it. Not as gorgeous right now as the other ladies' but it'll go all lovely and round soon enough. I'm defo not calm at all either. Scan next Wednesday and absolutely petrified. Really petrified, not just usual vain/dramatic/over the top hormonal shit...genuinely petrified.

fattymcfatfat · 26/02/2015 15:19

tiny I cracked my hip before and ended up with shooting pain and pins and needles all the way down my leg! Sad

muddy its natural to be worried, it means your a mum not a machine Wink

jmojo · 26/02/2015 15:42

lewaney if it is really bad I would push for a referal. There are other drugs available, but maybe the physio could do something more theraputic too. So maybe a discussion with either the specialist you saw to diagnose the inflamation, or a GP referal to a physio (as it is not pregnancy related really)???

Lostsouls a few tricks for recurrent thrush in pregnancy. I am not guaranteeing this will work but it worked for quite a few of my women. Use the prescribed treatment of canesten (preferably pessary and cream). But also stop using soap to wash your vulval area. Use aqueous cream instead (you can buy it in Sainsbury's Boots, anywhere with a pharmacy for a couple of £). (I got this info from a doctor in GU medicine), it wont feel like you are washing because it doesn't foam, but it does get you clean. Just a little bit on your hand, a little water, wash and rinse. Aqueous cream after using it for a few weeks, allows your pH down there to return to normal and for the flora (yeasts like thrush, and friendly bacteria) to get back into balance with each other, so they don't grow out of control. Pregnancy can mess with your pH but soaps etc make it worse. Give it a go and see. Also make sure your husband/partner is treated with canesten cream if you are having intercourse. He can just pass it back to you otherwise.

jmojo · 26/02/2015 15:48

Oh and 5.5lb gained at 20+4

Number3cometome · 26/02/2015 15:51

How are you all only gaining a little weight?

I feel massive now!

fattymcfatfat · 26/02/2015 15:52

I gained more than you and thats going from my 13 week weight. im scared to weigh myself now Sad (19+1)

Clstow · 26/02/2015 16:44

I've gained about 4lb and I'm only 18+5.
Not surprised though coz I've been eating so much more than usual and have developed a mega sweet tooth... It's my first time but I'm hoping it's quite common to become choc obsessed during pregnancy!
Not been on for a while as been obscenely busy with work but it's lovely to hear everyone's scan and boy/girl news - congrats to all. My scan is a week today and I can't wait. Finding it hard not to wish the days away as I'm so excited to see the babba again.
Friday tomorrow ladies - woohoo Smile anyone got any fab weekend plans?

Luckystar82 · 26/02/2015 16:57

Really interesting advice re: canestan and aqeuos cream jomojo! Will try that if I get desperate. Good tip re: treating your partner - I think people often forget to do this.

I had my scan yesterday. It's a girl!! It went very well - the sonographer said it was text book stuff (she probably says that to all parents) and that her femur length was very long so I am guessing she will be tall like her mother.

The baby was moving lots during the scan - kicking her legs and blowing very cute kisses in our direction - at one point she turned and seemed to be looking straight at us! She was puckering her lips the whole time.

However despite the movements I still can't feel her moving! The sonographer explained that because I have an anterior fundal placenta it will cushion any kicks. hence why I haven't felt her move. For those out there who are worried because they haven't felt movement or heard heartbeat, take note that this may just be because you have an anterior placenta. You can ask at the scan.

Good luck for those with upcoming scans :)

Luckystar82 · 26/02/2015 17:00

P.s No idea how much I have gained and don't really want to know. I am eating sensibly and trying to move so not overly concerned. Only looking bigger around the belly.

20+3 today

sarkymare · 26/02/2015 17:12

Hello there :)

Just checking in, 6+6 today and have been very sick all week. I'm envious that you lot are passed this stage and are probably looking forward to finding out the sex! How is everyone coping? Is everyone feeling movement now? X

Luckystar82 · 26/02/2015 17:48

Hello Sarkymare welcome back! I'm pleased all going ok so far. Sickness is a good sign although not very nice when you are going through it.

Just had our 20 week scan and all ok - phew! Worry never goes away does it.

I hope this one is a sticky little bean for you :)

Stinkylinky · 26/02/2015 17:58

Hi Sarky, welcome back! Sickness is never nice, but as lucky says they say it's a good sign. Sending you lots of well wishes x

lucky I've also got an anterior placenta but I'm feeling lots of kicks now, I bet you will too in a week or so

Thought I would upload a bump pic as I can't beleive how much it has grown in the last week or so! Would love to see everyone else's bumps Smile

20+2

Stinkylinky · 26/02/2015 17:58

21+2 even!

LaLaLaaaa · 26/02/2015 17:59

Hi sarky! Glad it's going we so far :)

Scan today, a good and on track! I know the sex but keeping it a secret

LaLaLaaaa · 26/02/2015 17:59

20+2

broodylicious · 26/02/2015 18:21

Hi sarky. Lovely to hear from you! Sorry you're already suffering with the sickness. Afraid to say I'm still suffering - albeit less frequently and far less violently now - but I'm trying seeing it as a positive thing.

Had a tough day today with horrid memories of my miscarriage starting exactly a year ago. Feeling very down about it Sad but I won't say any more so I don't bring the mood down.
