We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Someone at work mentioned kiddicsre deal today

If you sign up to baby club you get £50 off item over £150. I may buy the £150 car seat I want with £50 off, then get my MIL to buy family fix base which is another £150 bringing price down to £200

broodylicious · 17/02/2015 19:00

Kiddicare do amazing deals lucky. We got tons of dd's stuff from there. If anyone lives near or is driving close to Peterborough, defo worth a drop in as their in-store deals can be mega. We got a really gorgeous cosatto rocker/lounger thing for £15, when it should have been £80!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 17/02/2015 20:12

At 13.5wk scan I said I was 'feeling things' for a week or so before but they were more mild 'pains' so was prob uterus growing pains (bit like your cramp-like pains muddy) as wks 11-14 big growth aren't they.

At 16wks I felt a proper squirm as a one off. But since then no 'bubbles'. Really light touch stroke from inside is a good description, for me it almost tickles so sometimes I have to rub / itch when feel it!

Now feelings are just definitely something moving about in there!!!! Feel it below belly button or around area where a CS crease / scar would be. Only feeling an odd few 'definite' mild prods still. So may be a more squirmy baby than kicking / punching out at mo! Had my one mega prod at 17+2 which was my first definite poke and literally made me jump in shock til I realised what it was.

Anyone unsure still, try not to worry if not feeling anything yet, it will definitely come and then you'll know. Let the eager anticipation for that first poke take over from any worry!

Im lying flat on bed now and can feel pokes, just like my first big one. So try that one out, babies prob don't like being squashed flat Grin (or you feel your uterus closer to front of tummy who knows)!

18+5 - come on the half way mark!!!

TouchPauseEngage · 17/02/2015 20:14

soccer I'm a first timer but my cousin has had three and swears by yoga. During her first labour the midwife heard her breathing and said 'did you do Janes yoga class? Brilliant her mums always do so well' so I think if you have a great teacher it can make a huge difference!

Scan tomorrow. Feeling really nervous and just really trying not to think about it!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 17/02/2015 20:18

Lucky glad the fraud saga is getting sorted. I prev lived in apartment block and my best friend still lives there. While back they noticed a dodgy bloke messing with the locked mailboxes, some beefy guy from my old block actually confronted him about it one day / reported the mans description to police station (which literally was a 1minute walk away on the same road)! There are three apartment blocks in that culdesac, they were doing to all no doubt. Can't believe some people are so brazen, or even know what to do! My friend was lucky but never heard if others weren't.

Oooh I'll have to check out that kiddicare deal then too!

MuddyWellyNelly · 17/02/2015 20:20

Ah thanks MrsF that is really helpful. I'm only 17 weeks today so plenty time yet. I am indeed waiting in eager anticipation, but also a bit freaked out. Before I got to the stage of realising that pregnancy was so hard to come by, the thing that worried me even more than giving birth was feeling like an extra in Alien Shock.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 17/02/2015 20:26

20 weeks today, half way there! Have my anomaly scan tomorrow. Also should get the results of my blood test tomorrow to find out if I'm immune to slapped cheek after DD potentially had it last week, fingers crossed. If not I'll have to sit in a separate waiting room at the hospital so I don't have contact with any other pregnant women.Really nervous about the anomaly scan, I remember being absolutely petrified last time too.

jmojo · 17/02/2015 20:44

badidea we were watching the film The Bang Bang Club, last night and there was a riot scene and about two seconds after it started, the baby started going nuts. My husband couldn't believe ho strong the movements were. It stopped just after the scene ended. I don't thing he/she enjoyed the noise too much.

Stinkylinky · 17/02/2015 20:47

Had my 20 week scan today, it couldn't have gone better.

I'm cooking a very wriggly, healthy... BOY! Grin

jmojo · 17/02/2015 20:51

stinky great news!!

MrsFbabyNo1 · 17/02/2015 21:10

Yea stinky! Congrats.Did you have a nice friendly sonographer doing it this time?!

pinkie1982 · 17/02/2015 21:31

One week til half way!

pinkie1982 · 17/02/2015 21:33

And I have definite movement which i have had for the last two and a half weeks! The last few days I've also felt movement from the outside. Countdown for my 20 w scan Monday!

Stinkylinky · 17/02/2015 21:34

Sonographer was lovely MrsF and the MW was quite possibly the nicest person ever!

Tilly73 · 17/02/2015 22:31

Marking my place
20 week scan tomorrow and can definitely feel kicks now, my DH could even feel them tonight Smile

BadIdeaBear · 17/02/2015 22:59

Oh jmojo I bet the poor mite was well scared! My DH does like his films loud - maybe I need to get him to tone them down before I get equally begged to make it stop!

And I'll be keeping a close eye on what music makes littl'un seem happy! Sounds like yours might not be up for a rock gig!

Sherbet38 · 17/02/2015 23:12

Checking into the new thread.

I'm 19+3 today. I felt flutters/bubbles from 16 weeks & proper kicks from 17 Smile I find I feel movement when I lie or sit down & when I've been still got a while.

Great news about all the 20 week scansSmile Sounds like there's lots of little boys!

I think I'm going to book an antenatal yoga course (although there are none in a convenient place or time). But we've decided against NCT, just going to stick to our local NHS classes. Smile

Naturegirl82 · 18/02/2015 06:22

Urgh been awake since 4.30. Gave up trying to get back to sleep. How annoying

NotPennysBoat · 18/02/2015 12:07

Marking place on the new thread, thanks Fatty!

Feeling regular movements here now, morning and evening when laid down in bed. I've been feeling sporadic bubbles from quite early on this time (this is DC2), and I have to say feeling movement is my favourite part of pregnancy!

Scan next week, so lovely to hear all the boy/girl news, but we have decided on another surprise.

Does anyone else feel like the weeks are really dragging? People keep saying to me 'oh it will fly by after 12wks' but it certainly doesn't feel that way for me! I want July to be here already (ok maybe late May/June since we're not actually fully prepared yet)!

NotPennysBoat · 18/02/2015 12:10

Forgot to mention - DC1's nursery mentioned to me this week that the waiting list for the baby room is a year long, so anyone planning on investigating nurseries I would advise to start enquiring sooner rather than later if you're in a popular area or are not planning to take the full 12 months mat leave.

Also forgot - 18+5!

GingerbreadHead · 18/02/2015 12:30

Hi all, didn't manage to post on the last thread at all, so marking my place here on this one!

I swing wildly from worrying that I haven't felt any movements for a few days, to days like today where I'm feeling lots of squirming and even a little kick. Still early days yet really for it to be regular movements, or so I keep reminding myself!

I am hoping to get back to doing yoga soon, was really enjoying it pre-pregnancy, then stopped for the early weeks and haven't had a chance to go back yet. I'm starting a Lazy Daisy class soon which includes pregnancy yoga, so hopefully that will help with all the aches and pains I've been getting.

Nature me too, was awake at 4am, finally drifted back off to sleep about 5.30 just in time for my alarm at 6! Angry

Has anyone else been struggling a bit with breathlessness? I know I had it with DD in the later weeks when I was huge, but I have been having it for a few weeks already, I mentioned it to the MW and she was very dismissive, saying it's just one of those pregnancy things. It can be really bad at random times, like trying to get to sleep at night, or in the morning eating breakfast, it's not just when I do anything active. Could it be pregnancy induced asthma? I've never suffered with it, but it does run in the family.

18+6 with DC2.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 18/02/2015 13:32

Anomaly scan went well, all as it should be and girl bits confirmed! Also had a call from the Doctors to say I'm immune to parvovirus so i can stop worry about that Smile.

Baby had her feet in her mouth while she was being scanned, going to be a flexible one Wink. Feeling really relived and excited now.

Zampa · 18/02/2015 13:39

Ginger Your lungs get squished when pregnant (by your other organs, the baby etc) so breathlessness is very typical.

jmojo · 18/02/2015 13:45

Yep breathlessness totally normal, but if perststs get iron level checked as can be that too! I get breathless when I am tired in the evenings and I know my iron is good just now!

WiIdfire · 18/02/2015 14:41

Gingerbread - I'm really feeling the breathlessness, its my worst symptom. Can barely do a flight of stairs without panting and am really slow on the flat. Reassuring to know Im not the only one.
