We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Morning all, I've been keeping up with all your news reading the thread but haven't posted in a while as all's been going smoothly, but had a bad last few nights with restless (and itchy) legs- I think being on my feet all day is starting to take its toll!
Also got news from my bosses that the pub I run is closing end of May- my job is safe as I can transfer (if I want) but I'm now likely to start mat leave earlier, at week 34.
Can't remember who else on here mentioned that they were going back for growth scan due to low placenta but I'm in the same boat. Keeping everything crossed that it moves up!
Finally good luck everyone who's having a flutter on the National today, I haven't won on it since about 1998 so I probably won't bother lol!

Zampa · 11/04/2015 09:23

Poor you MrsC! I don't think you're being paranoid so do keep on at your doctors if you think there's a need to do so.

My maternity leave starts the week of my due date (39+4) but I'm taking the week before as leave so will finish on week 38 exactly. I'm also thinking of taking a day a week as leave in the 4 preceding weeks as I'm already getting pretty tired. What with a week in Tenerife and the Bank Holidays, that means I would only have about 2 five day weeks before maternity leave starts!

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 10:13

sparkly, with you on the restless leg annoyance - I get it in my feet and ankles more often at the moment and it drives me bonkers. I find though that it doesn't matter whether I've had a relatively sedentary day (when I've worked for example) or been active, being out walking or playing with dd. Grrr. Sorry to hear your pub will be closing but great news your job is safeSmile

SparklyPenguin · 11/04/2015 10:46

Thanks broody ! Yes the restless legs has been going on a few weeks but usually just for short spells, last night was all night and agonising- hope it eases off soon for both of us. I'd read that it's sometimes related to iron deficiency but my last blood tests were fine on that score.

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 12:50

Arrrrgh today is the day that people who know absolutely jack sh1t about horse racing spout off about how bloody cruel it is. Makes my blood boil, having worked at racing yards in my youth!

Sorry for that rant. As you were.....

fattymcfatfat · 11/04/2015 12:56

I have restless legs too Sad

my DD loves the gee gees Grin sits on her rocking horse pretending to be a jockey

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 13:18

Aaah bless her, fatty. My dd loves them, took her to my old yard a while back and she fell in love with the horse that was bezzie mates with my old lad. We are going up there tomorrow to watch a little dressage actually. Can't wait!

fattymcfatfat · 11/04/2015 13:44

aw I bet you will both love it Grin what a lovely day out

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 14:01

I'll be all sad afterwards because it'll remind me of when I competed there with my horse. Gosh, I was so proud of him when we went into the arena. Nervous as heck but so proud. I don't miss the early mornings, late nights, hard work, smell of poo, wearing hay in my hair most days or certainly the vets, farriers and tack costs but I do miss my boy dreadfully. Especially when the sunshine is out and it's perfect riding weatherSmile

fattymcfatfat · 11/04/2015 14:10

I would love a horse but with number 3 on the way it really isn't feasible. I have enough to deal with. when I win the lottery though I will be getting one Grin

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 14:21

I will get another but when the children are old enough - it takes up such a lot of time and I wouldn't want the kids to have to come with me while I did my jobs or rode. I'm not one of these pushy parents who will force my loves and passions on my kids so I reckon unless a lotto win means I can buy a house with land, I'm looking at about 2025ish!

fattymcfatfat · 11/04/2015 14:50

I will probably be too old and knackered to have a horse by the time I could afford one and all that goes with it! children are expensive enough for me Grin

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 15:07

Lol! Yes I do tell my horsey friends that dd costs me as much as my ponio did Wink Luckily she doesn't eat quite as much as him but she does have quite an expensive taste in shoes and she does get through lots of clothes like he did.

fattymcfatfat · 11/04/2015 15:12

my DD is shoe obsessed. problem is she only has baby size 2 feet so it is really difficult to find any that fit her. DS is at that age now where he wants names (6!) and asks for the more expensive trainers etc.

MustBeLoopy390 · 11/04/2015 15:17

FattyM my dd is the same, she is very into branded things atm, hopefully we can keep up lol

Supershiv1 · 11/04/2015 17:07

Hello. Not been on for an age, been mad busy in work and I've been waiting to pass my 25 week point. You see I had DS1 at 25 weeks and didn't want to scare anyone. I'm 25+5 now and everything is wholly average so slight relief is now felt!
Is there a Facebook group??
What have I missed??? Hope everyone is OK!

Fattycow · 11/04/2015 17:26

I am really tired today...

Not a fan of the national. I don't mind flat racing and enjoy going to the races, but the national has too many horses running and the fences are still too high. Horses shouldn't die for our sport, it's an indicator that something's not right.

And I know about horses and racing as I've grown up with bothGrin

Just sold my beloved horse so I'm very sad :(. I put him on loan when I got pg as he needs lots of attention and exercise, I couldn't just turn him away for 9 months as he'd go loopy (and jump out of the field!). Lady who loaned him decided she didn't want to loan anymore as she wanted her own horse, so I had to make am decision to sell him to her. Broke my heart. I miss being around horses so much, I'm hoping I can get another when my DCs are a bit older. I'd like some rescue ponies too - a couple of Shetlands would do nicely!!

I'm very achy and uncomfortable but otherwise ok. Starting to get nursery sorted which is exciting! Hip is causing me pain so I've got Physio referral appointment.

I'm going to have to get yet another bra fitting as I'm bursting out of these! Will be third time I've gone up, I'm going to look like Dolly Parton soon.

Hope everyone's ok and enjoying the nice weather!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:08

Zampa I got 'hello tubby!' at work the other day! She got a filthy look from me!!!

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 18:25

Oh lala, that must've been a heartbreaking decision to make. When I was about six months pg last time, I put my boy out on loan to a family I thought was ideal for him (ie they wouldn't thrash him or want to go competing at xc or endurance etc) but he died while he was with them. It was bad enough him passing away but it wasn't on our yard where I know he was so happy and loved, I then found out my boy had had bad mud fever in the run up to his death...but only when the vets bills came to me as unpaid!! £330 worth of them. I chased and chased for payment but their attitude was "well, not our horse, he's dead anyway" which just made things even worse. They'd signed a contract and they knew they were responsible for vets, farrier bills etc so I was just doubly devastated by the whole affair. Weirdly, my edd for this baby is the date he died.

super, yes there's a fb group. Send a DM to natanotherone and she'll sort you out the details. Pleased you passed your 25wk mark...even though the thought of giving birth at this stage does indeed now petrify me, lol!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:31

Broody your post made me so sad for you :( how heartbreaking!!! At least I know my boy is being well cared for and loved, she sends me updates all the time and has said I can go ride him after baby is born. I'm so sorry that happened to you :(

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 18:32

Hello All, not been on for ages, and I am not on the FB group either. Hi fattycow you are not talking to yourself I hear you Smile

Just finished watching the Cambridge Oxford boat race first time in a long time that I am watching at home Grin.

Anyone sorted for their hospital bag?

Trip to primark yesterday to buy some nightwear but as usual it was packed and I ended up selecting the wrong size! Argghh if you know primark well hardly John Lewis and not intended for returning items.

My hospital bag almost there, need to buy some baby vests and nightwear for me. We still have not bought a push chair, because I changed my mind, now that I am more clued up on it. I am in love with the stokke Grin
What's everyone getting?

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:35

I can add people to Facebook too if you want to PM me your email address

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:37

Jo - snap! I bought pyjamas this morning for hospital :). Not done any more of hospital bag yet. Tip from a friend of mine - lip balm, apparently your lips get v dry during labour.

I've got the uppababy vista in green, I love it!

MustBeLoopy390 · 11/04/2015 18:38

Can you add to fb with just names? I forgot my email address to log in with ages ago and have to use my phone number Blush
