We are already nearing the halfway point! Some of us have already reached the 20 weeks, the rest will follow suit. Let the countdowns begin!

Here is the stats list, please update them with your scan dates and the sex of you baby (if you know it):

Oh broody your post made me sad. That is awful, how horrid of people, makes me so mad.

I love horses and always wanted to ride and own one. I am hoping I will get my LO into it and we can both ride, hope I will not be too old!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:43

Jo never too old! I know people who started riding in their 40s.

Loopy no unfortunately I think I need email in order to do it. Can you request that info from Facebook?

MrsFbabyNo1 · 11/04/2015 18:53

Ah Broody that's v sad. Love horses but have never owned one. Our first mini holiday together was after dating 2 months we went pony trekking up the Welsh mountains (but he didn't mentione that he'd never ridden a horse until we first rode?!?!). Between me n the Mr we had 2nd, 3rd and 4th places on national so won about £60 for our £20 bets. so a small winnings but still.

Hi again Joy. I've started on my birth 'preference' plan and gonna take a hypnobirthing book to read on holiday next week. Got the hospital bag, lots n lots of maternity pads and some primarni big knickers. Got some fairly new but old loose pj bottoms that sling low below bump so won't buy new and take them. But not sorting it out properly yet.

As I type, the first load of newborn baby clothes is in the washer now!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 18:55

Lala very nice colour uppavista is quite similar to the icandy, and just as lush.

Oh not bought a maternity bra yet, lucky that I have not had to buy a new bra for this pregnancy. Had some big sizes I bought in the sale years ago and I kept for this day Grin

Yes lip balm a must for HB, I also have a bottom spray lol! Need to pop into a pound store for a plastic jog, apparently needed to wash with warm tepid water after a tear. Anyone getting that?

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 18:58

Omg what's bottom spray?!?!

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 18:59

Lol MrsF I got those £3 primarni big knickers as well yesterday in addition to some disposable knickers. Though DP's sister was advising I stick mainly to disposable knickers, not sure I agree.

Boots is doing a 3for2 on maternity stuff.

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 19:01

Lalaa I came across it in
Harrods maternity section. Apparently it helps to soothe after birth. Not necessary but as I am a beauty and pampering junkie + it was only £12 I was sold Grin

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 19:04

This is it :-) Lalaa the bottle on the right. The other is the perineum oil.

July 2015 - we are nearing the halfway point!
LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 19:05

Ooh I was given tip about Badedas. Apparently if you add it to a bath it helps with soothing stitches if you get any

MrsFbabyNo1 · 11/04/2015 19:09

oh how can I forget to say...We ordered pushchair and car seat today!!

Decided not to bother investigating all the tandems and just gone with my fav. Icandy peach 3 in truffle (a nice dark grey) so neutral good for the little man (and if a future girl) and when we have more babies ready to be doubled up. But we used our whiley money saving skills, bought on an easysaver card thing (preload with money and get 7.5% more in spendable value) and bartered bit off car seat. every little helps.

Our car seats were good old Maxi cosi pebble (had to go on icandy) and 2 way family.fix base. Will buy 2 way pearl later on.

Its v exciting and also feels really strange. Should we not keep it here in our house and ask my mum to look after it? I know people say bad luck etc. Shock

MustBeLoopy390 · 11/04/2015 19:10

Lala I will do :)
Never heard of bottom spray, but badedas was a life saver after dcs 1 and 2

JoY007 · 11/04/2015 19:29

What is badedas ?

Love icandy I want a dark grey or brown as well in any of the push chairs definitely going for a maxi cosi car seat.

Car seat shopping tomorrow and also check out some push chairs.

Let's stay positive, I was like that when I bought some baby clothes as well. It's a perfectly good time to buy, we are 3 months away Shock.

MrsFbabyNo1 · 11/04/2015 19:31

Thanks for these recommendations both, bottom spray and badedas have been typed into my 'to note' section now too!

On lotions n potions, my sister freebied me an elemis apricot facial toner she'd half used some time ago and didn't want. I love it now more than ever, smells lush and is really so refreshing. It's nearly all gone now so was thinking might have to buy some more for labouring in a potentially hot July. Just a personal fav of mine but not poorly foo foo related. Wink

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 19:45

Ooh I've not come across bottom spray either. Might have to add that to my list. Fem fresh type wipes for sure. I had a shower after I had dd so didn't need to take a jug - I'm sure the hospital will have one if you need one. I'd defo stick to big pants rather than disposables, believe me ladies, comfort is going to be a big thing afterwards! Lip balm is essential and I took an evian water facial spray with me last time which was fab, very cooling, but I may just take my neals yard white tea facial mist this time as I love it.

Eek girls, can you believe this is happening so quickly now?!

Thank you for the horse love btw. He was such a beauty, my absolute love of my life. I should post a pic really...

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 19:51

It's funny how horses take over your life and your heart :) they are amazing animals

Badedas is bath essence - add to bath and soak away!

Big pants definitely!

My travel system is in my house:). We are nearly there so I wouldn't believe anything about bad luck, just enjoy preparing for your little one.

MustBeLoopy390 · 11/04/2015 19:52

It's going very fast for me, I'm hoping these last 3 months don't drag

LaLaLaaaa · 11/04/2015 20:13

Need new thread - I can't do as not on PC. Any takers?

broodylicious · 11/04/2015 20:15

I forgot to say mrsf - after I mc, it took me a long time to realise that there's nothing I could've done differently to change the outcome of that baby's life/death, it just wasn't meant to be. So, short version, I don't believe that having a new pram in a house will bring bad luck Smile

MrsFbabyNo1 · 11/04/2015 20:47

Yes I'm not overly superstitious as we bought the nursery bedding / accessories before we even conceived! Shock Shock Shock but It was my fav next neutral little bear one and they were changing it to buddy bear (who I'm my opinion looks more like weirdo bear Grin) so it was all half price as being discontinued!

Then had baby related Xmas presents (before dating scan) and had set up nursery (before anomaly scan) so it's not like I was holding off doing stuff due to superstitious worry.

Although I dont know just maybe felt different about the big pram! But it's being delivered here and here it shall stay. exciting.

artyoishi · 12/04/2015 01:57

Anybody else got enormous nunga nungas? I'm Super huge and I'm sure they are beginning to cut the circulation off to my arms and hands at night... I wake in the night just to raise my arms to drain my swollen mitts! Am reluctant to wear bras at night as feel my skin needs to breathe for at least some time out of the 24hrs in a day!

Fattycow · 12/04/2015 09:00

I'll start the new thread, hang on.
