Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I do love the stats!

laurenamium · 24/02/2015 13:36

My fanjo is totally fine today Grin I ended up sat in a Luke warm puddle at the bottom of the bath last night and I'm still peeing in cups as wee stings it but it's manageable! My whole pelvis is numb anyway today so that's probably a blessing!

DD is fine, playing with the last mindee- who's parents are still uncontainable Confused I've given up trying now though as she's perked up, if she's contagious then I tried my best!

laurenamium · 24/02/2015 13:36

Uncontactable!

ChatEnOeuf · 24/02/2015 13:48

Haha, Lauren, uncontainable parents - think I know know a few of those!

Dulcet while 20w is early for regular movement, you know what's normal for your baby so if you're worried please do call someone. Haribo and diet coke got my DD moving; this one is wild without prompting...

Welcome Gliding! Congrats :)

Agree: email safest, gives her time to reflect and respond in her own time. You can always follow-up with a tea and cake visit :)

I love the name Leila, but DH isn't a fan.

I'm considering buying DD a double bed, so DH can sleep in with her when she's upset and I'm feeding the baby. AIBU? Or just mad? Her sleep is terrible and shows no sign of improvement - I'm expecting it to go backwards when baby arrives anyway. The slats on her current single have just failed for the second time and I'm buggered if I'm trekking all the way out to the same shitty bed shop for a third set. There's something fundamentally wrong with that bed.

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 14:01

la Am I right in thinking I'm now second on the stats?

glad your banjo is feeling better lauren I expect if DD is contagious mindee will have it now anyway, no point worrying :P

chat a double bed would give her more space to stretch out, and guests could sleep in there and she could come in with you if it was ever necessary...

minimooo · 24/02/2015 14:02

Afternoon viroids! Just caught up with Fred....

Congrats gliding! Welcome welcome Smile

dulcet I echo the advice to call midwife if you're worried. It is a bit early for regular movements, so I'm sure all is fine. But a mw will be able to reassure you and that's worth its weight in gold.

bat I think email would be the way forward too, for the same reasons as the others have already said. I had a mmc and then struggled to conceive for about 16 months afterwards. During that time, a few family members got upduffed and I would have really appreciated an email rather than face-to-face announcements. It would have given me chance to process the info before responding with happiness to the couple.

lauren Shock at your fanjo incident! Blimey, that must have been painful! Glad it's slowly recovering.

Well, we went to the babyshow on Sunday and actually I would say it wasn't really worth the bother. 95% of the stuff was more expensive than I've found online, so we hardly bought anything while we were there. We did order the pram though and got a good deal (basically got the car seat free) so that was a positive definitely. But for those who couldn't get to the show, I don't think you guys really missed much to be honest!

LaLaLaaaa · 24/02/2015 14:36

Yes to making life easier chat!

Boo yes! You are 2nd to next...April is a busy month, then may kicks off with a bang! Can't wait. Pis is first though Grin

Mini I'm glad you said that as I was kicking myself. But actually we've got most if the big stuff. I need to find a chest of drawers, that's my next mission. Steriliser arrived yesterday.

Which pram did you get?

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 14:59

squee!! la excited face

grumbles DD has demanded all manner of food today, and most of it is on my living room floor, and she's just used my glasses cloth to blow her snotty nose on cries Is it Friday yet? My mum has her this weekend... we just have to make it to Friday...

bat we had some friends that we didn't know had been struggling to conceive, I blurted my updufedness to one half of the couple face to face in the street and it was all very awkward, I dared not even mention it to the other half of the couple, then we ended up with a very badly timed birthday party for DD where we'd pretty much come from our 20 week scan, and I was in DH's big hoody to hide the bump, as it was the half of the couple I hadn't spoken to then informed us of her upduffedness there at the party, so it all worked out ok, but from that point on I pretty much ensured that everyone we told didn't find out face to face to avoid any sticky situations, most people have found out through general email / fb / text conversation but I put a pic up of DD and bump as my FB profile picture today so that anyone on our FB who didn't know would in theory catch on.

gaggiagirl · 24/02/2015 15:18

chat my cross ginger is a similar age to your DD and we got her a double bed just before Xmas. Its great because my mam can share with her when she stays over and its very handy for bed swapping when one of our little family is having a bad night.

gliding you finally came! Huge congratulations!

batfish · 24/02/2015 15:50

I am treating my mum to a bit of a spa day on Fri as a belated Christmas present - checked with them if there are any treatments I should avoid with being upduffed and they said in first trimester I'm not allowed anything! What's that all about?! How dangerous can a facial be??? Gutted!

gaggiagirl · 24/02/2015 16:00

bat
Its the essential oils me dear. They will feature in almost all facial products, massage oils too.
Steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, steam treatments are all a no no too.
Manicure should be ok but a few of the professional top coats and other products can cause birth defects Shock. Seche vite being one of them, it was my absolute favourite top coat. Bastards.

minimooo · 24/02/2015 16:01

I went for the Silver Cross Pioneer in red la, I'm so excited for it to arrive squee! Grin

minimooo · 24/02/2015 16:02

squee *italics fail!

gaggiagirl · 24/02/2015 16:06

Actually bat hats off to the spa for covering their backs. There probably are a few treatments you could have really though. Threading, waxing, pedicure with no nasties, coconut oil massage.
No vaginal steaming though! That's all the rage now.

batfish · 24/02/2015 16:19

Vaginal steaming?! What the bejeesus does that entail?! Sounds painful!

I knew I wouldn't be able to do hot tub etc but didn't know treatments would be a no go so that's a shame, they do a couple of special ones from second trimester they said. I will just have to hang out in the non hot facilities whilst my mum has a lovely massage!

gaggiagirl · 24/02/2015 16:47

You sit on a steamy potty thing, with no knickers on in a white robe. Its supposed to cleanse the uterus and rejuvenate the fanjo.
I've got a steam mop, I'm away to point it at my fanjo Grin

laurenamium · 24/02/2015 17:05

Shock At vaginal steaming!

I'm so annoyed at DP, I've been nagging him for weeks to get the crib down from the loft so he can put it together and I can get a mattress for it...he's got it down today, thrown a paddy so I ended up putting it together with achey SPD fanjo plus burns. He's also sat and watched me clean the bathroom and DDs bedroom, and now he's made a sly remark about my cooking when I said I was going to do tea. So I've gone on strike. Tea isn't happening, ill feed DD chicken dippers and waffles and eat cereal myself in protest

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 17:31

Also Shock at vaginal steaming! Whatever next? Almost as odd as the woman on my FB who is getting a fake tan for labour... Says the woman who's getting everything waxed off for labour, perhaps I shouldn't throw stones...

lauren give him a thwack with the old crib mattress!!!!

DulcetMoans · 24/02/2015 17:40

WTF is vaginal steaming?! Images of hanging your bits over a bowl of hot water!

Good protest lauren! I think you should keep it up until an apology or he cooks for you all at least! If you need to sneak mars bars to keep you going just hide then in the bathroom with the cleaning stuff - he won't know!

Didn't know about the nail polish... Knew you couldn't get warm. Can they massage without oils?! Take your own baby lotion bat?!

Glad you said that too mini, I wasn't overly keen but wanted freebies. Was there a gift bag?!

So, in a weird twist of events midwife actually called me earlier (had left a form to be signed and was telling me I could pick up). I didn't tell her, felt silly, but felt better knowing there was just a call away from knowing.

I'm home waiting for a double glazing man to come for a quote. Bets on how long he will be in the house?

minimooo · 24/02/2015 17:56

also Shock at vaginal steaming! wtf?!

No free goody bags either dulcet Sad At least, not that I came across. You could get one if you signed up to a magazine which I don't remember the name of and pay £3. They said it contained £25 worth of stuff, but I didn't fancy it (it contained stuff I already have). Very disappointing!

Good plan lauren. Blimmin cheeky dp. Love the idea of the mars bars in the cleaning stuff! I'll have to try that one!

Off to my last hypnobirthing class tonight. Bit sad it's finishing tbh - its been really good and the midwife who runs it is lovely.

teejayem · 24/02/2015 18:09

Maybe I got lucky with the first day offers and freebies? Confused

Our Snuzpod arrived! eeeeeek!

laurenamium · 24/02/2015 18:16

Oh Envy of snuzpods!

I also love the Mars bar in the cleaning stuff idea Grin

willywallace · 24/02/2015 18:43

Envy for mentioning Mars bars.

LaLaLaaaa · 24/02/2015 18:45

I'm off to sit on the kettle! Shiny fanjo here we come!

I didn't know you couldn't have manicures, I've been doing my nails every week. Is it just salon nails?

Are pregnancy massages ok?

LaLaLaaaa · 24/02/2015 18:47

Ive got a bag of Easter eggs and Lindt bunnies my mum gave me. It clearly has a sticker in it saying I can't open it til Easter. I'm currently down one creme egg and a bunny.

Baby did it.
