Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 21st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 38th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

La I would ask, definitely. From reading Lils link, sounds like NHS not-testing is a cost-benefit thing, as its really rare that babies catch strep B.

I have strep B, but I only found out from the swabs they took when I was in early labour. Its my top question that I'll be asking my midwife at my booking in appointment, as I should get antibiotics this time (it might have been the trigger for my premature labour).
When I went for pre-conception checks, I was tested for strep B again. It was the local GUM clinic which did the test, but I had a referral letter from my consultant - I don't know if you can just turn up and request it along with they usual STI checks?

Evening viroids. Been down the pub and now veeeery tired.

Wow that's a pretty crazy neighbour Dulcet! I fear I'm the crazy one around here. The colleague I was worrying about has been a sweetheart today and to my amazement had bought a present for the baby. I nearly cried!

The nanny state beer is really good La - quite hoppy if you're into that.

DulcetMoans · 07/02/2015 00:28

Dinosaur thread in parenting - go now. I can't link but it's worth a read!

I was cutting material with dinosaurs on at the time!

willywallace · 07/02/2015 00:30

God Pis, that's a turnaround.

Who was asking about pg announcements? Bat? I can't link on the app but look up Pulptastic.com baby announcements. My vote goes to number 32.

My baby is never going to sleep.

willywallace · 07/02/2015 00:52

Dulcet that is gold. What have the poor dinosaurs ever done to the Christians?Sad Grin

LaLaLaaaa · 07/02/2015 03:07

Funniest thing I've read in ages!

Loving the addition of 'Dr Carla'

LaLaLaaaa · 07/02/2015 03:28

I honestly thought dinosaur deniers meant dinosaur tights for a bit

tonightsthekindofnight · 07/02/2015 03:58

Been feeding continuously, one of the twinnies, then the other, since 11pm. Urgh! Need some sleep, someone remind me why this bf malarkey is worth it!?

tonightsthekindofnight · 07/02/2015 05:09

Shit....wrong thread. Really must be tired! Sorry!

willywallace · 07/02/2015 07:09

Haha you may be on the wrong thread but you've made me feel better as I'm finding it hard enough with one baby! Kudos to you for bf twins.

Aw dinosaur tights would be cute La. Yeah 'Dr' Carla sounds super intelligent.

DulcetMoans · 07/02/2015 07:49

If I sign off all my threads as Dr Dulcet will you all think I'm more clever? I read it out to DH, we both enjoyed it!

What does Saturday hold for everyone today then?

Started my blanket last night, not sure about it yet. Spend hours moving bits of patch work around to try and get it how I wanted but just had to go with something to get it done!

ZylaB · 07/02/2015 08:27

Hey, I'm here. No interesting news as yet! I got moved down to the labour suite early so they could keep an eye on me and baby because my sugars keep dropping. Baby is perfectly happy and seems to be dropping. They're about to remove pessary and try to break my waters, so I'm hoping there'll be a baby at some point today!! (I hope!)

laurenamium · 07/02/2015 09:09

Morning viroids, had a late one last night as I went to a village Panto to see my child cousins on stage. They were very good, the Panto was...interesting. But I suppose they have limited actors and singers in such a small village Grin

I'm annoyed at DP and trying to work out if I should be or if its hormones so I'm keeping it internal for now...me and DD are off to the salon to get my hair cut and he's still in bed. WIBU to wake him up again? That would make me feel better I think!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/02/2015 09:16

Good luck for today zyla! Let's hope it brings you a baby Grin

I'm off to see some of our rescue horses in their new home, then I'm going to have an afternoon nap because I've agreed to work at the bar tonight. Knocking off early tho coz we are driving to see my dad tomorrow and setting off early

Fleurchamp · 07/02/2015 09:56

Good luck zyla

We didn't go out last night but did have a little chat which seems to have helped. We shall see. Was up and out early today - at the gym having been swimming and waiting for DH to finish his run and drinking hot chocolate

We're off to my MIL's this afternoon for the night, not ideal after spending last weekend with her too but she's being a bit needy at the moment.

willywallace · 07/02/2015 09:57

That'll be nice La. Where do you rescue them from?

I suppose that depends on what he's done Lauren! Enioy the salon. My hair badly needs cut and dyed but will need to persuade this one to take a bottle first.

Fleurchamp · 07/02/2015 09:57

Hope your dad's ok la

willywallace · 07/02/2015 10:12

Hope it speeds up zyla. You sound fairly chirpy at least x

fattycow · 07/02/2015 10:38

Hope you are doing well, zyla!

ZylaB · 07/02/2015 11:14

They couldn't break my waters! My cervix is still too far back and completely closed so the 24 hour pessary seems like a waste of time. Got a stronger one in for a few hours then I think they're going to get more brutal (gulp). I guess I am only 36 weeks so not surprised some hormones didn't help gently bring it on, I wasn't ready for labour!

teejayem · 07/02/2015 12:08

Just figured out that my 'oh the baby is in a funny place' feeling is acrually Toni braxtons, and upon telling Mr tee this, our dirty spoon was ruined :(

Make sure you're well stocked with pain relief Zyla! Fingers crossed for you xx

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 07/02/2015 12:38

You told him while you were dirty spooning?! Poor Mr Tee Grin

Hope something starts happening soon Zyla!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/02/2015 12:47

How frustrating zyla! Hopefully the stronger one gets things moving.

wil I work for an animal charity and do a volunteer role with them also at weekends visiting potential homes for rescue horses. I then visit after they've settled in to check everything's ok and sign ownership over. The one today is in such a lovely home, he's going to be there for life which is wonderful to see as he's had a hard life poor boy. Love my volunteer work! Almost more than my actual job Grin

fleur I'm glad you managed to have a chat and things are a bit better

tee what do the Toni braxtons feel like? I get waves of weird pain across bottom of bump. Definitely felt baby this morning too, it was a flutter Smile

teejayem · 07/02/2015 13:25

It wasn't quite the intention to tell him during pre dirty spoon, he said 'your bump looks weird' and I put two and two together... And then he felt it and was 'erm, is that supposed to be happening?!' As I'm trilling 'don't worry it's all perfectly normal' by which time he'd rolled out of the bed and into the shower Confused

It's a funny feeling la def a tightening sensation, I don't know if you've had a foot cramp where it feels like your foot is being squashed? It's a bit like that and the bottom of my bump goes really hard. Usually sets off a load of kicks after that, I think get them once or twice a day, but they're more noticeable when I lay down I think. Mine have lasted about 30-60 seconds, not painful tho, just uncomfortable, like something isn't quite sitting right if that makes sense?

OP posts:
willywallace · 07/02/2015 13:48

Yeah really a tightening is the only way to describe it La. Like you're tensing your muscles but it's not you doing it.

Jeez Mr Tee is easily distracted. Men are funny about this whole baby malarkey.

That sounds great La. How do you find the horses in the first place though? Do people report the owners?

Zyla that sucks. Is CS starting to sound more appealing?
