Thank you Envious - the advice is conflicting (as I've always thought)!

Omg we chat!
I'm ignoring most of the eating advice. Just limiting liver and tuna (not that I'm that keen) and caffeine and alcohol. The supposed risk is from food poisoning, which is pretty unlikely anyway, and as someone said, British eggs with the lion stamp are from vaccinated flocks anyway.

I'm booked in for an early scan tomorrow, more nervous than excited. And my booking appt has been brought forward 10 days so I can get in with an obstetrician earlier.

duckbilled · 26/01/2015 14:18

Last pregnancy I avoided runny eggs until about 2 weeks before my due date.... Then I just had to have them, I was obsessed! Hmm

Lauramum23 · 26/01/2015 14:20

I can't put stats in as my computer doesn't work at the mo, so I'm on phone can anyone pop them in? I'm 31, 4th pregnancy ds11,dd8 ds5 edd 30/09/15 just hanging on in there! It will probably be October baby but can I stay here? Probably consultant led don't know if there's anything else to add?

eallison88 · 26/01/2015 14:22

Enviousl, you've just made my day!

DeladionInch · 26/01/2015 14:28

tuna is due to high levels of lead, and liver high levels of vitamin a, both of which can cause birth defects if consumed in excessive amounts. unpasteurised cheese is because of listeria which can also do nasty things to developing brains and bodies

so so so tired. small is pulling a good long nap but the longer I snuggle here the worse I feel Sad

SomewhereovertheRainbow02 · 26/01/2015 14:30

Just marking my place. cant believe we are on thread 3 already.
Tiredness has really hit me at work today. im literally dropping off at my desk but on a brighter note I haven't felt sick today. swings and roundabouts so its seems.
boobs still hurting and ive had the worst stomach pains from trapped wind over the weekend.
bring on the pregnancy glow. im ready for it!

hello all, I'm place marking. Food wise the only things I don't have are unpasteurised cheeses, pate and raw fish. Eggs (as long as they are British) are fine. I have my meat pink though as I generally buy good quality meat and eat in decent restaurants, if I was anywhere dodgy I wouldn't order it. But this is baby #3 for me and I was much more strict with my first.

6+4 today, have another scan booked in on valentines day as DH and I are going to Hawaii on the 18th so I wanted peace of mind before we do. Think we're going to take DS and DD along! Smile

LittleSesameSeed · 26/01/2015 14:55
