Pas, my dd is 2.6..... She asked me aswell and then ds 4 cottoned on that he didnt know either.... I told them that mummy will go to hospital and the baby will come out between my legs. Ds said .. 'Out of your bits' so i just said yes out of mummys front bottom. We try to be as honest as we can and they both know the difference between boys and girls so no more questions were asked.

Yay to the 24 weeks aswell.

It is very quiet on hear now that most are on FB. If anyone else wants to move over there PM me and i'll add you on.

Junebug15 · 16/02/2015 14:59

Hello all!
I always have a hard time keeping up with the thread as it's usually busiest at the weekend and my days off generally fall during the week.
It's soooo quiet toaday.
I've always tried to avoid FB, but joined a few weeks back to vote for my cousin to play a music festival :)
Please could you add me jazzyjenbo?
I'll PM my details - thanks Smile

kaybug · 16/02/2015 15:53

Newgirl33 · 16/02/2015 16:34

Oh dear the moment I've been dreading - a colleague patted my bump this morning! Hmm I must really be showing now.

jazzyjenbo · 16/02/2015 16:34

Just pm me your real names and what your profile pic is and i can add you.

newbie6 · 16/02/2015 19:36

jazzyjenbo · 16/02/2015 19:51

Think i have added all the new fb requests... Kaybug, sent u a PM to search for me.

jazzyjenbo · 16/02/2015 19:52

Sorry not kaybug.... Junebug!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 16/02/2015 20:12

Oh dear newbie!! I had the classic "Gosh, you're going to be HUGE by the end, aren't you?" yesterday. Well, yes, I will be because that's what happens, but in no bigger now than i was this time last time and everyone told me the whole way through how "neat" I was then... Ruuuuuude!

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/02/2015 20:13

My colleagues are all studiously ignoring that fact I'm pregnant. That or I'm hiding the bump rather better than I thought I was.

Tryingreallyhard84 · 16/02/2015 20:32

Pas didn't mean to confuse and/or disgust you with the wrong puss. This one is very much four legged, cute and a bugger. Wink

Most people know I'm not tactile. The first person to touch my bump who is not immediate family will find out exactly how "not tactile" I am. Grin

newbie6 · 16/02/2015 20:47

Thanks for adding me, is there a group page for us all on FB? Sorry I'm prob being v stupid but wasn't sure? x

newbie6 · 16/02/2015 20:48

Not at all, Trying! It was more a "duh" moment on my behalf!!

Newgirl33 · 16/02/2015 23:25

Bump patting was just a bit unexpected! I work with a team of mainly men - not sure they would like it if I did the same to them! Grin

Jackiebrambles · 17/02/2015 08:48

Morning June bugs!

Do you know last time nobody patted my bump at all! I was all expecting it but it never happened!

Instead I just got comments from colleagues like ‘blimey look at you!’. I don’t mind though, my bump shocks me sometimes!

I’ve got my placenta clinic scan tomorrow morning. Even though at my 20 week scan they said it had moved up to high anterior rather than low.

Last time I needed a full bladder and then it was an internal scan. Was SO uncomfortable! I don’t know if it will be this time too :0/

I had an internal scan at 20 weeks too as I said I'd take part in some research they are doing. They took an internal swab and bloods, its to see which people are likely to go into pre-term labour.

At least I'll be able to tell DD and this baby that they did come out of my tummy Grin

I only had one random guy pat my bump last time.

Hope your scan goes well Jackie. It sounds like it should all be fine if it had already moved up. The research sounds interesting.

Our nursery furniture has arrived. It's just a shame the nursery isn't ready for it to go into! We have a lot to do before we get to that stage. Moving lots of stuff around, getting new carpets and decorating with DD around should be interesting. Last time, we had a new bathroom put in until the day before I went in for my section (wasn't expecting an early section; thought I'd have a natural labour two weeks late!) - hoping not to do anything that late this time!

Chookford · 17/02/2015 13:01

Afternnon ladies

I'm not on Facebook so I can only comment on here but hope everyone is well

jackie hope scan goes well!

cup hooray for nursery furniture... So exciting...I can't get anything like that until we move in April!

I'm 26+2 today and am feeling very pregnant lately I have even developed the pregnant waddle according to Dh! Shock

Deutschybaby · 17/02/2015 13:40

cuphat exciting about nursery furniture! Ours is being delivered tomorrow, but our room is nowhere near ready either. We've got to take out the study (and scatter it around the house), paint it etc. It's waiting until easter! But I wanted to get them now so that we know they've got them and theyre ready when we are.

Picking up our pram today too! We went for the icandy peach 3. I'm very excited!!

Hope you're all well. Facebook group has been busy!

cuphat · 17/02/2015 13:51

We've got to do the same to the nursery, deutschy, it's currently DH's study (man cave!). I had to order now as there was a particular set we wanted and when I looked last week it was out of stock and then not on the website! And I panicked that they'd discontinued it (they haven't). So as soon as it came back in stock I had to order! Plus I'd read reports of deliveries taking a month (we got ours in a few days!). I'd rather have it waiting here anyway.

You've gone for the same pushchair as us deutschy (you may have seen it on fb)! Exciting! We're supposed to start using it as a single now and sell the strawberry (which we love so I'm sure the peach will be great too) but it's all shiny and new and I can't bring myself to just yet.

Deutschybaby · 17/02/2015 15:05

Ooh exciting! so that was the John lewis-drama causing pram?! We had similar dramas in mothercare, the woman was awful and knew nothing. She just read from the signs and kept arguing with us about what one we were looking at. I don't mind if staff don't know everything in a shop, not at all, but don't stand there and spout rubbish and insist that you're right if you're actually talking rubbish! I think sometimes they dont quite get that expecting parents might already have done their homework or have any common sense! But it can't have been as bad as your situation. (Even though at one point 5 year old DD actually rolled her eyes when she picked up on our frustration - that's one more precocious habit we've had to nip in the bud!!)

Oh and chookford I think I'm waddling today. Hardcore day of shopping with dh and I actually feel pregnant in that I've been going to the loo every half an hour and have escaped his clothes shopping for a sit down in starbucks..
4 weeks until I'm going on a school trip to berlin. After having had to fight to be able to go I'm worried I'll find it hard to keep up Blush

cuphat · 17/02/2015 15:28

That's the one! It really wasn't that complicated, and definitely shouldn't have been for the 'experienced' pushchair specialising sales assistant (and trying to send us home to order when it wasn't possible on their website for the colour we wanted - tut tut!)! Sorry to hear it wasn't easy for you either! They'll be worth it though!

Chookford · 17/02/2015 17:42

deutchy glad I'm not the only one waddling then... Makes me feel better! Smile and the Icandy is lovely but with moving so close to due date I can't really spend too much on a pram even though I want too!! I am jealous of yours and cups purchase...Wink
