Welcome theyveallgone Smile

I was just wondering if the medics can tell if the bang is back to back ad well, I feel like there are a lot of limbs on this baby poking at the front, which would make me think its back must be against mine... Then again, I remember feeling like dd was an octopus and she was orientated correctly Smile

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 20/04/2015 23:40

Baby, obviously, not "bang". I can't get to grips with my phone keyboard at all!! Confused

Theyvallgone · 21/04/2015 06:49

Thanks for the lovely welcome :)

comeagain I cannot wait for my pram to be ready! You must be so excited! I would just put it up and sit looking at it for the next 6 weeks or so haha!

Zah 16 weeks isn't a lot is it bless :( I am lucky in that along with annual leave entitlement I get just over a year so no problem in finishing early.

Your midwife should be able to tell you at you appointment whether your baby is back to back with you (when she feels your tummy and listens to heatbeat). It can make labour more painful in your back and slightly longer. Try sitting forwards rather than slouching in the sofa, or using a birthing ball at night to keep baby in a good position. I think I'm going to have a good ready of the Spinning Babies website as I can't stop slouching so sure baby will be back to back with me! Might also be a good website for those who have breech babies to help them turn?

Hope everyone has nice things planned today?

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/04/2015 08:20

I'm slouching too much as well theyveallgone Hmm

Am lying in bed listening to darling dd in her bedroom singing and reading to her cuddlies. She's such a good girl, there's no earthly reason why she hasn't jumped out of bed to come and bounce on me, but she hasn't.

I'm recovering after going back to work yesterday!! I don't usually work Mondays but we had inset so I had to go. I only sat in meetings all day but was literally on my knees by bathtime last night Hmm Back in tomorrow to start my real working "week" and no idea how I'm going to cope actually doing my real job (teaching 5-7yos, who haven't understood the concept of slowing down!!).

Today dd and I are going to collect the "click and collect" groceries and maybe buy her some more springy/summery shoes and then she has her swimming lesson so we'll both be ready for a nap by 2pm!! Grin

comeagainforbigfudge · 21/04/2015 09:07

they I know. Hopefully going to pick it up at wind, excited muchly though!

I'm also slouching. It's too uncomfortable to sit forward. Will try the exercise ball but that means sitting with legs open a bit too much and then inner groin gets sore, so spd flares up.

Woe is me!
Sunny here & meant to be really warm
got midwife this morning then going to sit out back and enjoy it

Have a good day all Grin

Hello everyone, TMI alert: I had a poo this evening and after the bowel movement, I realized that I had a glob of mucus when I wiped my front. About the size of a 50p coin and white/cream in colour. Could this be my mucus plug? Should I be worried? Actually, I am already worrying. I am 32 weeks.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/04/2015 21:07

I'm not sure, Zah... I think it can come away and regenerate quite a lot though so I wouldn't necessarily panic. Actually, who am I kidding?! I would definitely panic because that's what I do but there's probably no need to. I've certainly noticed quite a lot of increased mucousy discharge over the last week (I'm 33 weeks now) but I've been telling myself that as it's not bloody at all it's just normal.

comeagainforbigfudge · 21/04/2015 21:07

I have no idea. Maybe phone maternity unit? Just to be on safe side?

So I've just realised that when I posted on this thread about 2 weeks ago, I didn't click 'watch thread' so I've completely missed everything since! Anyway, I'm going to try again and hopefully be a little more involved this time!
7 weeks left today!

zahaziland · 21/04/2015 21:31

Thanks for your replies. I am trying to not get worked up about it. At this time of evening, I can't phone anyone (I only have a number for office hours) - I would have to go to the maternity as an emergency. However I actually have a midwife appointment tomorrow morning, so I will discuss it with her then.
I have been trying to find a bit more information on the internet, but I can't really find any reliable site.
I hate how something relatively minor is stressing me out so much! I can't stop thinking that it's too early for baby to arrive and that he has to stay put for another 4-5 weeks at the very least!

WelshGirlSeeksMarmite · 21/04/2015 22:00

Was there any blood Zahaziland? What I've read seems to suggest that there will be blood when it's the real thing. But understandable that you're worried about it - does your GP have an out of hours number or maybe the 111 NHS number?

zahaziland · 22/04/2015 07:27

There wasn't any blood WelshGirl, not even a speck - completely clear white/creamy colour.
I am not in the UK, and there doesn't seem to be an equivalent of the 111 NHS number or an out-of-hours number. As far as I can see, if I have a question/query/worry out-of-hours, my only choice is to go to the ER.
I am seeing a midwife later this morning, I'll keep you posted.
Hope everyone has a nice day.

WelshGirlSeeksMarmite · 22/04/2015 08:20

Sorry, I just assumed you were in the UK Zahaziland. Hopefully the midwife can put your mind at rest this morning. Let us know how you get on and good luck.

comeagainforbigfudge · 22/04/2015 10:21

Morning all

I've made us a shiny new thread

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/2361394-June-2015-the-one-where-we-impatiently-count-down-to-babys-arrival

Eeek!! It's getting close.

zahaziland · 22/04/2015 11:23

Hi all, quick update before we move on to the new thread:
I was reassured by the midwife concerning the loss of my "mucus plug". She didn't think it was the mucus plug, which apparently is transparent with streaks of brown or blood. She thinks it was more likely discharge (albeit of a jelly-like consistency).
She didn't even think it was necessary to do an internal examination, as here they tend to avoid them (unless there is a specific reason to do one), to avoid irritating the cervix.

Other than that, I got to hear the heartbeat (I alway love this bit). Baby was probably sleeping, as hearbeat was around 124 bpm, a little lower than last time. Midwife wasn't at all concerned saying that anything between 120-160 is fine.
