We have reached another fantastic milestone!!
All our 20 week scans are complete and our little babies have kept us all very entertained over the last 4/5 weeks.
We have seen a lot of cheeky monkeys keeping their legs crossed... others waving at us or even sticking tongues out at us.
Afew are keeping mummies on their toes with tricky placentas and not to forget baby babalou who is our cheekiest monkey!!
So how do our stats look!!
50/50 split!!!
33 - boys
32 - girls
23 - surprises

Wow girls caught up fast there!! Smile

Jazzy - you're doing a fab job with those stats. Flowers

Tryingreallyhard84 · 12/02/2015 21:08

So glad it's Friday tomorrow. It's been a busy week. Got a meeting tomorrow that, for some unknown reason, I need to do face to face with the annoying one. Envy Granted, he's more annoying on the phone. Lesser of two evils I suppose.

Then a weekend of getting the car serviced and finally buying tiles for the bathroom. The excitement never stops (or should that be starts?) May spend some time playing with organising the baby stuff I have so far. Which isn't a lot, so won't take long.

kaybug · 12/02/2015 21:39

wow Jazzy! So impressed with your stats! If it helps to fill in your table im 27 Smile

Congrats everyone for your scans!

sunbathing cat I feel exactly the same. Fed up with having to look up when I need to make appointments and chasing the midwife trying to book them. Feel like I'm hassling them although I haven't seen her since 16 weeks (an appointment which I had to nag her for) and took a lot of chasing to book my 25 weeks in. Just feel in the way and a bit lost!
Anyone else having a similar experience?

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 12/02/2015 21:58

I have to book all my appointments, and it says in my notes when I need to have them, so I just ring and book! It was the same last time too - I wasn't expecting them to come to me really. I don't know what would happen if I didn't contact them though. I'm not needing consultant's appts though, must be frustrating to know you need them and not be able to find out when they'll see you Hmm

AnythingNotEverything · 12/02/2015 22:03

My midwife makes the appointment onscreen before I leave the room. Could you go to the desk on your way out? I know once I got home it would be well out of my mind.

That's rubbish service. I'd be tempted to write to PALS. Lots of women would find getting time off work for appointments difficult with only 2 weeks' notice.

That is terrible on the midwife front! Maybe you should try and be annoying! e.g. ask lots of questions about if you haven't got a consultant app what do you do, and suggest you just book in with her for two weeks from now on your way out in case she hasn't managed to get onto the consultant and you are worried :D

seriously is there no-one you can mention it to? I thought my hospital was ordinary and at least I make all my next appts as I leave and they mail out a confirmation.

That is crap, sun Hmm I'd be pissed off with that too. I made my next appt after my last one, or nearly 7 weeks ago! They had only just "opened up" the calendar for next week, but in fairness it was a long time in advance.

Sorry to hear that Sun - that sucks and feel a bit guilty that my MW books up the next appt when I see her and has so far given me the time I need to talk things through

I agree with the suggestion of making an appt to discuss your concerns and lack of consultant appt, and of raising it with PALs. It sounds like a system that isn't ideal which defo needs highlighting. Good luck with it all.

Hi

For all those with toddlers, have you noticed them becoming v clingy lately? My DS is 2 and all of a sudden he is being very clingy and putting him to bed is a nightmare! He used to go down no problem but recently he has started crying and yelling for me as soon as I leave the room? Just wondering if it's all related?

X

Thanks everyone who responded to my post about blankets/grobags/swaddling. Apologies for late reply (had an exam today which I have been studying hard for for a few days!).

Congratulations to everyone for having such cute little babies on their 20 week scans :) Shiz is getting REAL :)

JennyOfOldstones · 13/02/2015 18:40
