I've put on a stone Shock I'm trying not to freak out as I'm sure that with DD I'd put on about the same at 22 weeks and ended up gaining about 2.5 stone in total. I had absolutely no issue shifting the baby weight - it did literally all drop off by 2 weeks post partum without me doing anything so I'm hoping this will be the same. I think so much depends on how much fluid etc you're carrying (and I do remember having the most horrible night sweats in the first week or so after having DD - im pretty sure that's where it must have all gone!)

Junebug15 · 10/02/2015 09:01

Ah thanks, that's re-assuring!
My post pregnancy BMI was just above 18 and judging by the link that you shared htf2, I'll likely put on between 12.5 - 18kg.
Hoping that I'm able to breast feed also, so hopefully should help get back to a sensible weight after the birth.

Just sat post-brekkie feeling the little Bee having a good wiggle!

Apple17 · 10/02/2015 09:13

Hi can I join this thread please? I'm due 27th June Smile

JennyOfOldstones · 10/02/2015 11:03

I have put on a stone but my BMI is still under 25. Half of that went on from weeks 7-10 with uncontrolled eating to stop nausea.

Had a freaky experience this morning lying in bed on my back with my hand on my tummy and felt either baby's head or bottom pop out as if she was rolling over! I like the kicks but this was a bit too much!

kaybug · 10/02/2015 11:28

Omg I just coughed and a lil bit of pee came out!! So embarassedBlush ! Need to start taking pelvic floor exercises seriously - setting a daily reminder on my phone right now!!

Hi Apple btw Smile welcome!

Junebug15 · 10/02/2015 11:35

Hi Apple! Smile

Wow Jenny! I've felt what I assume to be small kicks and turning, but nothing that I couldn't pass off as bad diegestion/wind if I didn't know that I was pregnant - but full on body parts protruding is something I'm a little nervous about!
Ha hope I don't first feel this while sat at my desk at work - not sure I'd be able to contain a little shriek!

AnythingNotEverything · 10/02/2015 11:54

Jenny I feel rolls too - it's like a lurch to one side of my bump. Feels a but like he/she is trying to push out the front exit.

Chookford · 10/02/2015 12:28

Hi Apple congrats and welcome!

jenny I have those too, prob everyday now.. I can make out what part of body is being used to prob me now too, its both amazing and freaky!

Good luck with all scans today!

Kaybug dont worry, just do your pelvic fllor everyday and it should stop.. or else failing that stock up on some tenna lady! Grin

JennyOfOldstones · 10/02/2015 12:46

Glad you are getting the same anything and chookford. I am 99.9% sure she won't pop out through my stomach but I still found it freaky!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 10/02/2015 13:00

Hi Apple!

I'm being kicked/rolled about in right now...its reverberating up my whole side which is quite like having motion sickness right now.

Re my blackout last night - Rang doctors, who told me to speak to the midwife. As expected I've been told to keep an eye on things, we'll discuss it more next week at my appt but to contact her if it happens again.

jazzyjenbo · 10/02/2015 13:25

Welcome apple, have you had your 20 week scan?

Htf2: i use a v pillow, prop myself up with it in later pregnancy, or lie with it hooked between legs when on my side. Used it as a prob when i was b/feeding or around my waist with baby lying onto of it to get newborn closer to breast. I would recommend.

kaybug · 10/02/2015 13:40

Blush oh no! I'll do my exercises now I promise! 27is too young to be buying tena lady! haha thanks for that Chookford!Grin

Chookford · 10/02/2015 13:47

No problem kay GrinWink

wheresmybiscuit · 10/02/2015 14:54

Hello everyone!
Had my scan earlier today. All is well! Since our hospital has a no-tell policy on baby's sex we've decided to leave it and have a surprise once the baby is born.

Kaybug I get that sometimes when I sneeze. It's really embarrasing. I should probably start doing the excersises regulary and not only when I'm bored.

Apple17 · 10/02/2015 15:08

Hi back to everyone Smile
Yes jazzy had my 20 week scan already, baby was doing great but my placenta is blocking the exit so have another scan at 32 weeks to see if it's moved, if not it's a section for me

Baby hasn't stopped moving all day such a lovely feeling Smile

speedbird17 · 10/02/2015 15:32

Been so busy with buying and selling houses, holiday to Disneyland Paris and all this grievance rubbish with work dragging me 120 miles up and down the M4, I've not had a chance to catch up!! Shall do some reading and posting this evening!!

Chookford · 10/02/2015 18:24

wheres glad you had a good scan, congrats!

jazzyjenbo · 10/02/2015 19:02

Yay to more successful scans. I think our last 20 week scans are booked on Thursday.... Then we will need to get a list of everyones repeat/growth/placenta check scans!

Is anyone booking a 4d scan? I was toying with the idea but now as i'm having the growth scans i think i'll be all scanned out! Hoping i can get piccy each time.

Looking at my calendar may 31st will b here in no time with all the appointments i have
Mw next week - 24/2
Gtt 3/3
1st growth 9/3
2nd growth 30/3
3rd growth 20/4
Finish work 1/5
And then will have mw appointments slotted in! Busy bee Shock

kaybug · 10/02/2015 19:11

We're having a 4d scan. Booking it for 30 weeks. Never would have paid for it ourselves but a close friend has got it us and we are so grateful/excited about the idea now Grin 20 weeks is a long time between scans and meeting baby!

Emz1989 · 10/02/2015 20:06

Have already mentioned on fb but we had a 20 week scan today (20+5) and all seems well! We chose not to ?find out what we're having and there was nothing glaringly obvious to give us a hint either way! Sonographer was great and referred to 'baby' throughout, rather than him or her.
Invited mum along and am so, so glad. Hadn't realised how emotional she is about her first grandchild, but it was really special to have her there and was lovely to see her and DH bonding too! They've always got on, but it just felt great today. Think I'm turning soppy... She also volunteered to pay for a 3d scan for us at around 32 weeks, so that's something to look forward to!

emz congrats on good scan news... So lovely your mum was involved too!

sun it's very stressful isn't it... We managed to sell ours just before I fell pregnant (actually conceived the same night we accepted the offer!) and going through all the motions being pregnant just makes things so much harder! I do feel for you especially if the place you are looking to move too is very popular and more expensive, I will keep everything crossed for you that you get an offer soon!

iwantkhaleesiseyebrows · 10/02/2015 20:27

We've booked a 4D scan for 26 weeks. Had one at 26 weeks with DD and it was fantastic. Apparently too much after 28 weeks the baby can be too squashed and too much before baby can be too thin and less baby like
