I had a risk assessment but I sit at a desk all day so it was very quick! I was told to move my phone closer so I don't have to stretch!

Happy Friday everyone! I have a half day today as I have my first antenatal class today! Physical skills for pregnancy and labour!

kaybug · 06/02/2015 09:12

Haha Pas! Funny how when you stop trying it happens. Always hated people who said that but its true. Swear, after over a year trying, we decided to have a break and hey presto! Grin

kaybug · 06/02/2015 09:13

also glad it's not just me who's libido has gone... Really feel for DH but just really not in the mood ever! Sad

Chookford · 06/02/2015 10:20

sun oh no that is just such a pain!! Hope you get it fixed soon!

trying good luck for today

jenny hope you enjoy your class!

I have had 3 wrk assessments in the last 3 months and I do a desk job! Those of you teaching and things really need to be looked after better! My libido seems to have gone the other way Blush but what with thrush and a UTI I've had to be good! Grin

Jackiebrambles · 06/02/2015 12:05

Afternoon Junebugs!
Good luck with the class Jenny, looking forward to hearing what they suggest!

I'm eating like a horse still, but feeling quite energetic to be honest. I am going to try to enjoy it whilst it lasts!

I had my risk assessment the day after I told work! They are too efficient really, but then again I've just got a desk job so I'm under no risk at all. They keep trying to give me foot/back rests which I may use later on!

cuphat · 06/02/2015 13:02

Mine was a desk job but everyone was expected to chip in with things like carrying heavy boxes of paper when they were delivered for the office etc! And there were a couple of other hazards. I had pain at the base of my spine when sitting in my chair for lengths of time and I mentioned a risk assessment a few times but nothing came of it.

Mine has gone the other way too, Chook. It was non-existent last time.

Heartburn has kicked in here. Luckily I found a full box of Gaviscon double action from last time which is just in date. Just one was effective. Must buy the liquid too.

24 weeks today!

cuphat · 06/02/2015 13:04

Actually, it wasn't pain, but more of an ache around my tailbone. I haven't had it this time.

jazzyjenbo · 06/02/2015 13:50

Afternoon all.
I've been abit quiet this week as i'm not feeling great... I have a terrible rash all over both arms and hands and have been using dd's eczema cream but its not helping.
Apart from that i seem to of completely lost my appetite in that i know when i'm hungry but cant decide what i want so end up with toast or cereal.
Non existent sex drive here!!... I was the same when pregnant both times and tbh have never fully recovered proper libido since before i had ds (4)... This last year however has seen alot of action as its the first time we gave actively been ttc rather than leaving it to the powers that be!

Has anyone thought of having the strep b screening??

Also hows the 'baby name hunt' going? Think me and dh are finally starting to agree on afew and i've been calling bump a name for the last few days testing it out!

I have been waking in the night with terrible cramping pains (very similar to early contractions) but i dont think its BH's... Purely as the pain can last for over a minute.. I have to turn over and even then it sumtimes doesnt ease until i stand up. When the pain goes baby starts going mad!!! Maybe it is a long BH's??

Jackiebrambles · 06/02/2015 14:23

Jazzy I have got group b strep. They tested me when I had my booking in appointment (I didn't know, I just gave a sample and they must have tested it for a few things I guess?).

Might be worth checking as you might already have been tested for it?

I've got a list of girls names. But no boys names at all! We haven't decided whether we are finding out the gender yet!

Jazzy my midwife always said that've braxton hicks shouldn't hurt. Maybe you should give yours a ring? Could you have been overdoing it? Or maybe it could be a UTI. I'm not sure you should ignore pain.

I think we're doing ok sex drive-wise ... Better than when I was breastfeeding at least! I think we're making the most of it as I hope to bf again and having a 20 month gap we might be too knackered for a good while to contemplate it after this one's born.

Happy Friday folks!

Phryn · 06/02/2015 16:34

Sunbathing that sounds like an epic night! Hope you can get your washing machine sorted and a good night's sleep tonight.

Deutschybaby · 06/02/2015 17:48

Oh I do love a Friday! DD is staying with my parents tonight, our only dilemma is what to eat. Hope everybody else is having a nice Friday. sun you must be exhausted!

Rosie888 · 06/02/2015 18:35

Hi ladies, I haven't written for a while but I have been following, I thought I'd drop in and let you know that that my partner and I are having a GIRL. We're over the moon! Scan went really well but have to go back as couldn't see baby's face. Now is the challenge to come up with a girls name, we're so stuck!! Hope all of you and your bumps are well.

JennyOfOldstones · 06/02/2015 19:28

Antenatal class was quite good, a lot about good posture, how to stand, sit, sleeping positions etc. a bit about relaxation then labour at the end. Not much new but glad I went. We all swapped emails as well so hopefully will meet up at some point.

jazzyjenbo · 06/02/2015 19:30

I had bh with my dd and they did hurt abit... I am seeing mw in a couple of weeks so think i'll monitor the pain and ask about it then... I always over do it as i work 7.30-6 everyday... Running round after all the kids. Just wondering if its cramp as bumps getting bigger and mite be sleeping funny or sumthin.
Jackie - hadnt realised sum ppl r tested for strep neway... Would it be on my blood counts if i'd been tested? Just after seeing alot about it recently if its not offered i think i'll pay to be tested.
Rosie - congrats on your little girly x

Tranquilitybaby · 06/02/2015 20:31

Rosie congrats on your girl.

Sunbathing, phew, glad you've got something to wear!

We're going to declutter the spare room tomorrow in preparation of it being the nursery. Smile

Tryingreallyhard84 · 06/02/2015 20:38

Evening all.

Jenny - interesting to read of your ante natal class. I've got my first in a few weeks but don't know what subject it will cover.

Rosie - congrats on the girl. An extra scan is a nice reason to see bubs again. Grin

Jazzy- sounds like a plan but hope the pains ease up.

Well, I had a good scan. I have a fidget bum in my belly (takes after me Grin ) . All things present and correct. It decided it was bored of being looked at and turned its back on us at the end. Cheeky. Oh, and sonographer thinks we're having a little boy. Shock

Had a quick shufty at the New Vista in John Lewis and then got a bite to eat. Got home, ate half a box of macaroons Blush and now I'm shattered. Going to read and go to bed now. Too much excitement in one day.

AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2015 21:09

Happy news ... Just seen Gingerbreadmam I another thread and she's just got another BFP.

Thought anyone who remembered her from here might like to keep their fingers crossed for her.

Chookford · 06/02/2015 21:12

rosie congrats on your baby girl....

trying congrats on your baby baby boy!

sun hope you have a better weekend.. You must be shattered!!

jazzy sounds like you may have been doing too much, hope the pains ease off soon!

Kyz · 06/02/2015 21:35

Evening everyone :) Not so much to catch up on today so I might have time to actually read AND post, how brilliant?!

I had an appt at the hospital on Weds and because of my protein S levels I am considered high risk, and depending on the results of my next blood test in March they may want me to have a planned c-section or epidural. At the very least I need heavy monitoring and a water birth is out :(

oh no sunbathing that's just typical! you must be tired out from getting up so often!

hope you've had a nice holiday speed

happy 24 week day cuphat

hope you feel better soon jazzy might a trip to the gp be in order for the rash? 99.9% sure i've got my name all sorted :)

Sex drive wise i'm not bothered, and then for a few days i'm REALLY bothered. I have no idea why

glad your class went well jenny

congrats on your little girl rosie

glad you had a good scan trying congrats on your baby boy :) Is the new Vista any good? I'm thinking of getting it but am suffering pregnancy rage atm as I can't find anywhere in the uk that stocks the Georgie colour with the carry cot and car seat package thingy. it's driving me up the wall, and dp thinks it's hilarious as I hadn't even decided to get one yet but now I can't find the colour I might've wanted i'm in a foul mood!

AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2015 21:49

Kyz just googled it to see what colour it was ... Looks like it's available at John Lewis. They do click and collect at Waitrose. Have I got something stupid wrong?!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 06/02/2015 21:56

Kyz - the Vista seemed idiot proof. This is the number one thing for me. I found pramworld.co.uk had loads of colours and a range of packages from just the basic stuff to those that include car seat and isofix. I'm going for red as its my favourite colour. Grin Just need to let the rents know the 2015 version seems to have gone up in price. Confused might offer to put money towards it as I feel bad them forking out that much cash.

AnythingNotEverything · 06/02/2015 21:59

I have a red vista (2012). I love it. I might have mentioned it here before Wink

Tryingreallyhard84 · 06/02/2015 22:03

Kyz- the colour you want is exclusive to John Lewis currently so that's why you might not be able to find packages with the car seat.

Anything - I knew someone had mentioned having the red one.
