I am full of the lurgy and guzzling honey and lemon to keep me at work. Why isn't it summer yet? XD

I've ordered the Pitter Patter print Chookford, but I was also tempted by the Pixelate (massive sucker for bright colours!).

Compared to the other couple of prams I was looking at, it just seemed (ironically maybe) a lot sturdier. I looked at two Hauck's and another one that began with an M that I can't remember the full name of. Also had a brief play with an iCandy, but just wasn't impressed enough with it to warrant the extra cost (it would've been over my budget so it'd have to have been love at first sight XD).

At the end of the day, buying a pram is like buying a car, everyone has their own requirements and budgets, so it's each to their own!

I might look into that Anything. Apparently my other option is to use the middle back seat as there's no storage and it has a standard three-point seatbelt. Feel like leaning in to the middle seat is going to be a faff as well though.

Good luck for scans today!

katbags · 04/02/2015 09:05

Morning everyone!

Good luck to scanees today Smile

We've gone for the Giggle 2 in Fable. I love the print and bizarrely DH is a huge fun - didn't expect such pram enthusiasm! As others have said, each to their own and I totally understand why some would steer clear but we were impressed with the reviews on the v.2 and it seemed the best deal in our price range that included enough of the extras.

I had a wobble this morning trying to find something to wear for a posh meal out with work. Managed to get into a nice pre-preg dress but couldn't really breathe and got a bit of the preg rage when DH tried to suggest something a little comfier might be best since I'd be in it for 15 hours Blush

kaybug · 04/02/2015 09:06

anybody here had/have a bugaboo chameleon we've been offered one for free, good as new from a family member. very lucky! Just wondered what your opinions of them are?

katbags · 04/02/2015 09:07

forty Just checked out pitter patter - love it!! I'm a sucker for brights and patterns too Smile

Tryingreallyhard84 · 04/02/2015 09:28

woohoo just had the hospital ring with a new scan date of this Friday afternoon. what a nice way to end the week.

Tranquilitybaby · 04/02/2015 09:32

Kaybug go for it, bugaboos are fab!

JennyOfOldstones · 04/02/2015 09:51

kaybug my lovely friend has offered me her bugaboo for a bargain price so I am having it as she loved it so much! Never would have got one at full price though!

Baby brain update, just realised when I locked myself out on Monday I actually threw my keys in the wheelie bin so not only did I drag DP out of work for no reason, the bins have now been emptied so my keys are in landfill somewhere...

bubalou · 04/02/2015 10:17

Oh no Jenny. Confused

We are both epic fails with baby brain so far!

Does anybody keep swapping words round? I keep saying things wrong and God forbid I use an appliance at the moment.

I put the dishwasher on but didn't close the tablet draw, I thought I put the washing machine on - 3 times the same load I didn't switch it on! Confused

Emz1989 · 04/02/2015 10:19

Oh Jenny if you're going to throw them away at least you've done a good job of it!!! I haven't had any 'major' baby brain moments but I'm forgetting little things daily - my diary is my best friend at the mo!

How lovely that our thread has gone from discussing first trimester sickness and nausea to reviewing prams and discussing 20 week scans... Having a little 'wow this is all getting real' moment!!!

Alisvolatpropiis · 04/02/2015 10:37

I lost you all and accidentally posted on July's group Blush

Oops.

AnythingNotEverything · 04/02/2015 10:45

Very apt Alis during a baby brain conversation!

Good luck with scans today ladies!

forty pixelate is my favourite too but as I dont know what im having im not sure if that pattern is a bit more suited to a girl?! I like the fable too katbags as its fairly unisex!

Jenny oh nooooo! losing keys always makes me so angry.. but you do have an excuse at the moment! Grin

alis I have to stop myself posting on the wrong thread often!! Blush its not just you!

sun congrats on the regular movement, its nice to have that reassurance (i say this with a foot pushing against the side of my stomach!!)

Alisvolatpropiis · 04/02/2015 11:28

So glad it's not just me! Baby brain is a very real thing I have discovered!

Hope all today's scans go well Smile.

sun, I've inly been feeling definite movements in the last week, it's such a lovely reassuring feeling isn't it.

fortywinx · 04/02/2015 12:22

Oh Jenny I did that once before I was pregnant! I did realise what I'd done before the bins were collected and managed to climb in and retrieve them though. No baby brain excuse for me though!

I would totally have Pixelate for a boy Chookford! My dad (who was with me when I picked) I think even slightly preferred that pattern over the one I picked in the end. He was marvelling how lovely and light and moveable prams are compared to when he was pushing one around 25-30 years ago.

I've been getting movements for a week or two now sun, after having nothing at all. They're all low down, below my placenta I would guess. Also can be quite uncomfortable sometimes when I'm being booted in the crotch sat at my desk XD

Chookford · 04/02/2015 12:29

thanks forty everyone I have showed loved it, but said it is a little more girly then boyey! but I really like it so I may just go with it! I though if it is a boy and you have a blue or darker blanket covering them it will be obvious!! Grin

I am doing very well on teh baby brain compared to some of you! May have left my phone at a restaurant Monday but that sounds pretty minor! Still not feeling movement here, wish I was (22+5 here) . I am feeling all-consuming rage at the multiple daily requests for viewing our apartment! Have emailed the 3 agents and explained this is impinging on our right to quiet enjoyment, and we need to find some happy medium between our living in teh place and they obviously have to show it to get new tenants, suggested a couple days a week viewing free. Unsurprisingly, no answer :)

Spent some time in maternity triage for spotting - but sent home with a clean bill of health. Placenta is not low - so I guess it must just be bits of my cervix falling off...?

But generally feeling so much better - I think I'd underestimated how much of a nauseous fog I was in over the first 16 weeks.

cuphat · 04/02/2015 14:00

Oh no Jenny! My DH once threw his phone in the dustbin but luckily I found it before it was emptied. I had suggested it might be in there but he refused to even consider that he might have thrown it in there. Luckily he'd left the sound on.

Glad you're getting movement now, sunbathing. I've been getting more movement recently. I've been getting kicks both low down at the front and low down internally (if that makes sense).

I had to look up the pixelate print - very cool! I'd use it for boy or girl. But then our current pushchair for DD is purple and I'd have happily used it for a boy too (despite people telling me that purple is for girls Hmm ).

Glad you're ok, 5.

Only two days until I'm 24 weeks and baby is considered viable!

Chookford · 04/02/2015 14:02

5 glad to hear all is ok, sure that must have been worrying for you!

cup yeah I am thinking If I do get the pixelate I will be fine with either gender using it.. It has lots of unisex colours in it so sod it!

Has anyone had a scan yet?!

Yes, it's a great milestone to reach. Obviously it's not ideal if baby is born that early but a friend of mine had her baby at 24 weeks - 1lb 07oz! - and that baby is a healthy happy child now. Our health service is amazing.

I'm back and all is well. The scan took ages due to the baby being breech and in a funny position. They paid particular attention to the heart due to my mums heart condition and all looks perfect, phew. Confirmed it's definitely a little girl and she has supermodel length legs! Wink

I'll post a pic on FB group. X
