Congrats cunty. Fab news! Hope you're both well and recovering. Look forward to the birth story if you can bear to tell. At least he was ahead of schedule and you didn't have that horrible overdue part.

Right missh 3 month countdown for you...Grin

Bugs a question for you re Ewan the sheep (ahem). I remember you saying he sent P off to sleep effectively- was that just a one off or is he still a legend? Would you recommend over other night lights? Did you do much shopping around for thr best nightlight/ comforter. My sis in law wants to buy one for us but has asked if we have a preference. Obvs keen to get opinions from the wider circle of hags! Cheers!

We use Ewan. I love him.

Congrats Cunty. Are pics on the Rastas page?

TheOriginalWinkly · 05/02/2015 20:48

Fucking Ewan is as much use as anything else re getting L to sleep ie none. But DBaby loathes sleeping so is hopefully atypical.

ALittleFaith · 06/02/2015 08:06

Congratulations Cunty!

SinkyMalinks · 06/02/2015 18:22

I hate that little wooly charlatan. Ewan the "dream" sheep? Aye fucking right. I've decided babies sleep, or they don't. I'm not convinced anything we do makes a difference. (Almost 11 month, not yet slept through...)

SinkyMalinks · 06/02/2015 18:25

Oh, Fankle - you don't have to wait 6 weeks post section to drive. Tis an old wives tale. I drove at 12 days (bleeding nips meant I was rather keen to see the lactation consultant)

ALittleFaith · 06/02/2015 18:37

My sister was only about 3 weeks driving post-section.

We have a Prince Lionheart 'sleepy bear' thing (a gift), it occasionally got her to settle for 5 minutes more but then she'd wake up demanding food!

MG just told me his work are sending him to London all next week. Shitting hell, how will I cope?! Having no family nearby is really not great. I already feel lonely and terrified just thinking about it. Will have to get friends to come over and keep me sane. Early evening until about 11pm are the most difficult as A seems to want to feed hourly almost and he is quite grizzly in between the feeds. Either that or sleepy after 10 mins on that boob but awake for more 40 mins later. I need to get my head around expressing so I can try to find some sort of pattern

Lol to the wooly charlatan comment sinks.

Will have to start driving next week whilst MG is away. Will phone insurance company as per hospital's advice.

How's everyone doing?
Cunty how are you coping?

fank the evening cluster feed/fussiness is a nightmare, but it will pass. Just remember to have easy to grab food (nuts, cereal bars, dried fruit, bananas, oatcakes, Mr Kipling cake bars) and a huge bottle of water stocked up and in reach for when you're on your own. Also, an easy to watch box set (Greys Anatomy perhaps) to pass the time.

Oh Bugs hope this week has been better and you got rid of that cold.

Bit quiet in here innit?

I have a question for those who express. This is prob really anal but do you have to dry out the bottles and pump equipment after it's been sterilised? I bought a tommee tippee steam steriliser and have just started to try to use it (I want MG to start giving Fanklet a bottle of ebm at night and I would really quite like to have my fucking disgusting hair done and be able to leave the house for 3 hours)! Is there any need to wipe the drops of water off or do you just leave them with the residue on...or air dry? What about storing sterilised bottles? Are they only sterile for a certain amount of time? And do you need to wipe/dry the steriliser after each use?

I know, boring and anal. Weirdly I find all this sterilising stuff bamboozling! Also, Fanklet has got oral thrush so maybe I'm being over cautious. We both need a course of treatment. Hopefully then my nipples will stop stinging on every latch....

MissHobart · 19/02/2015 09:06

It is quiet, I have updates as soon as I'm not totally knackered once I get a chance to get to the laptop! Fucking exhausted! Hmm

Only 10 weeks to go! Confused
