20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Zyla my fingertips are a mess. I have to test before and after every meal, is there anywhere else I can use to test?

Stoatystoat · 20/01/2015 14:44

I'm with you there. I'm going to end up spending that much on pissy sticks if I have to wait.

ZylaB · 20/01/2015 15:07

I dunno purple I've always used fingertips, been doing the same..before and after meals and often extras in between, been using 500strips a month lol. But I've mainly used 2 or 3 fingers and not the others, but those 2 or 3 aren't looking happy!

KatoPotato · 20/01/2015 15:10

Any bra experts here? I think I need to get some new ones, my nipples are folding in on themselves and I feel the back so tight they might explode!

Do you still follow the interventionist advice of measuring or a whole new science? any recommendations for nice comfy bras?

ChatEnOeuf · 20/01/2015 15:53

I'll be honest Kato after the M&S fitting debacle last time around I changed my approach. I just grab a few different sizes (not completely at random...) in a few different styles and buy the ones that are comfortable. Hence I have no idea what size I am, but everything I'm wearing fits me.

Welcome to diabetes in pregnancy, Purple. Your insulin will probably change as often as your first choice pushchair. It's all important for the bean though. I don't think there are any other options for testing, every diabetic I know only does fingers apart from one who tried toes briefly, but he had a neuropathy and ended up with an infection

That's a bugger about the scan though, penny pinching I wonder Hmm

willywallace · 20/01/2015 16:02

I just got a couple in Debenhams Kato. They have some kind of moulded ones which give you a better shape. I took in a size I thought was close and then got the woman to have a look and she suggested to go up a size and they seem ok.

Feeling sorry for you diabetics with your sore fingers.

Aw I have a proper little sleepy newborn. My first was so late I kind of missed this stage with her.

Fleurchamp · 20/01/2015 16:36

wil how are you?!? Flowers

Fleurchamp · 20/01/2015 17:04

Ok so I am waiting to see my boss. I feel like a naughty kid waiting to see the headmaster Hmm

Bump looks huge this afternoon so I guess it's got to be done.

Wish me luck viroids!!

ZylaB · 20/01/2015 17:16

wil enjoy your little one, it sounds lovely :)

ZylaB · 20/01/2015 17:17

Good luck fleur!!

teejayem · 20/01/2015 17:31

good luck fleur!

Kato - I've been buying the M&S tshirt bra 2 packs (think they are £18) in progressively larger sizes since about 8 weeks, I get to the point where I think my sideboob is popping out and then go up again. My next cup will be E. BiscuitBiscuit

Stoatystoat · 20/01/2015 17:35

I need to think about bras. My most comfortable one has been my sports bra but that's too tight soon.

Fleurchamp · 20/01/2015 17:52

I did it! Yey! Feel so much better Grin she was so lovely, don't know what I was worrying about.

Stoatystoat · 20/01/2015 17:57

Well done fleur

teejayem · 20/01/2015 18:07

Ah, good stuff Fleur :) glad it went well!

TheBooMonster · 20/01/2015 18:22

yay! glad it went well fleur!

couldhavebeenme · 20/01/2015 19:11

Well done fleur, it's a bit nerve wracking telling the boss, first time round I hadn't been in job long and I think I nearly had heart failure in the build up to telling!

Had a rubbish day at work. Why are some people such back stabbing a**holes?! Don't cross the pregnant woman!!!

Stoatystoat · 20/01/2015 19:58

Sorry you had a crap day...hope you stood your ground couldhave

I feel rubbish. My back is hurting and the emotions are getting to me. I feel really lonely not being able to talk to my friends about it because I can't tell people. I feel really weird, can't explain it. Yesterday I was high as a kite.

LaLa5 · 20/01/2015 20:48

Stoat can you tell a close friend, someone you can trust who you can talk to and they won't tell? It's good to have an outlet for when you feel rubbish.

Could - sorry you've had a rubbish day. People can be tools! I just are half a carton of Ben and jerrys, I recommend it!

Fleur - well done! It must be a relief Smile

Mountain they are being frustrating not giving you an early scan! :(
Great news about nausea though!

Wil that sounds heavenly :) how are you and she doing? What does miniwil think of her new sister? We'll have to find a name to call miniwil2 on here!

Lil how are you doing? Did you say bfp hopefully due 9th feb? When do you have the procedure?

Kato I had a fitting but I'm going to need new ones soon, definitely not an expert!

Red is lovely, she had a really hard time ttc and eventually had ivf. Im delighted for her that her pg is going well. She's due on 14th feb I think? Hopefully she'll drop by to say hi at some point.

My new stand in line manager went through risk assessment with me today so I feel a lot better. Apparently I'll be getting a new boss at some point but it's been 2 years so far! Hopefully it will be sorted by the time I get back from mat leave

I went with cake, ice cream would have been a good idea too though Wink

LaLa5 · 20/01/2015 21:33

I have been getting a sort of pushing pain in right hand side. I'm 15 weeks. Is it too early for baby to be poking me?

Purplecircle · 20/01/2015 21:48

Thanks lovelies. I need to man up! Pregnancy is going to get a lot worse than this!

I rang my boss and told her. She asked about the hospital appts in my calendar by email and it was just easier to speak to her. She was lovely about it.
I can't cope with lying to people...I am crap at it and it's more stressful. I've asked her not to tell anyone else and she won't. I feel better that it's out as I need less stress and she causes most of it, albeit unintentionally

Zyla how's the blood sugar?

ZylaB · 20/01/2015 21:54

purple it'll be easier for appointments now she knows :)

My insulin reductions are mental! I was on 26 Levemir in an evening, now on NONE. Also reduced morning Levemir by 6 units and lunch and evening meal ratios. And don't have a clear idea why this has happened, am talking to consultants (hopefully) tomorrow :)

willywallace · 20/01/2015 21:56

Not too early for movements La but maybe for a painful poking. Stretchy pains?

Glad you feel better Purple.

I feel wired, need to attempt some sleep.

KatoPotato · 20/01/2015 22:55

Hooray! I just ordered my perfect prep machine for £49 and free delivery from Amazon! Rrp is £120 so I'm delighted!
