20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Happy d day wil!

Lauren good luck today hope wee one is more active.

I'm hiding in bed, it's cold outside...

Deeply dep on practice they ask you to see mw at 8 weeks who then arranges booking in for around 10 weeks and scan for 12. But each practice is different. You need bloods done before booking in which are usually done at hospital.

Quiet week for me this week, I'm going to try to start exercising more.

Morning ladies, I'm sorry if this puts you off your cornflakes but does anyone know anything about fibroids?
I am suffering with what feel like period pains on my right lower pelvis.
Of course I consulted dr google and now I am worried Hmm
I was told at my last scan that I have a small fibroid and that it shouldn't be a problem. I have a consultant appointment in 2 weeks.
BUT the pain!! It's just like the cramps I get before AF. I had hoped they would go over night. I had a busy weekend and just thought I had over done things.
I guess it could also be stretching pains as I have definitely popped out a bit more over the past two days.
Opinions? Current plan is to take some paracetamol, drink lots of water and take it easy. If I am still in pain on Wednesday I will go get checked out. Sound sensible?

LaLa5 · 19/01/2015 08:01

Fleur I had a lot of stretchy cramps in first tri - they get better with water. If you're worried or there's blood speak to midwife but could just be stretchy pains

Stoatystoat · 19/01/2015 08:43

I am so crampy. Me and the little stoat are doing our first commute! I feel grim. I've got a morning of meetings but the kind where I can zone out and then teaching this afternoon. Fun!

ZylaB · 19/01/2015 08:51

Morning!

Happy due date wil!!

Seen obstetrics registrar, who then brought my consultant to see me as I pressed the point that a big insulin drop can be first sign of placenta failing. They're all ok, still saying I just need plenty of monitoring. The fact I had a good scan on wed last week that shows baby is growing properly reassures them. They're just wondering if I've been running the diabetes so so tightly that it's all just gone tits up lol. Seeing diabetes team in a bit then hopefully home :)

ZylaB · 19/01/2015 08:52

Fleur, water def helped my stretchy pains!

ZylaB · 19/01/2015 08:58

Also, being woken every 2 hours for the last 2 nights after not sleeping on fri after 1am 'issues' is shit! I think I'd mind less if I was being woken to feed baby and getting squishy newborn cuddles lol, being woken to test sugars or have blood pressure done is just shit!

laurenamium · 19/01/2015 09:01

Happy due date wil!

fleur I got told I had a fibroid but the midwife said it was a good thing and not to panic about its name, basically it just meant that my other ovary was working- the one that didn't make the baby this time- as it had produced the egg ready then hadn't released it or something! Definitely lots of water for every pregnancy symptom Grin

No work until Wednesday here so we've all had a lovely lie in, the scan is this afternoon and I have scanxiety, but I get that every time anyway!

Happy due date wil!

ChatEnOeuf · 19/01/2015 09:08

Good to see them keeping an eye on you Zyla. Hopefully home today Smile

Not ignoring your troops question earlier, Dulcet. Not impossible to get to the shop in question, just a pain with random patrols and road closures...and they're a bit intimidating to be honest Blush

Pisghetti · 19/01/2015 09:45

Hope scan goes okay Lauren. And hope you get home and can get some sleep Zyla!

Ah sleep.... I miss sleep.

I had a letter from the hospital. Apparently my 28 week bloods were low in platelets. I wasn't sure what that meant so consulted Dr Google and was reassured - how rare is that! Need a repeat test at 36 weeks and nothing more for now. Top tip for anyone due bloods - if you can, visit the phlebotomist rather than have the midwife do them. At my 28 week appointment the midwife couldn't do them as I forgot my notes (so naughty!) so told me to call in and see the phlebotomist at a later date instead. Hardly noticed a thing while she took them whereas I've found them quite painful when the MW does them.

lildottie · 19/01/2015 10:50

hi all, I can finally join on with the food comparisons, my ovaries are walnuts and will be grapefruits shortly!

5follicles on each ovary this morning but lining a bit thin so been given some pills to take. fx all goes OK this week.

Pisghetti · 19/01/2015 10:57

Grapefruits?! Jeez that sounds uncomfortable!

TheBooMonster · 19/01/2015 11:05

good luck with the scan today lauren

zyla are you not waking every two hours to pee anyway or is that just me?

deeply my practice booked me an appointment with the midwife no questions asked, she did my booking in appointment and did the majority of my bloods right there, after i'd had my booking in appointment (should have been 8 weeks ended up at 10 due to them giving me completely the wrong bloody time over the phone when I booked it >.>) she referred me for the 12 week scan and I had my bloods for downs syndrome done after the scan. But with DD I told my Dr I was pregnant at my (unrelated) appointment and she booked me straight in with the midwife that day and sent me back to the waiting room to wait. both times no one waved sticks near my wee and I expected to turn up to the first scan to find I'd imagined being pregnant >.<

DH is off sick again. with a migraine again. to his credit he's not attempted to go anywhere near the computer so I am less suspicious of the genuineness of the migraine... he did make me laugh uncontrollably yesterday when he informed me he was of the impression when bump came he'd still have plenty of time for minecraft between bump and DD then I remembered that he spent the first few months of DD's life hidden in the study whilst I dealt with her and I sobered up somewhat would it be awful of me to subject him to the Natal Hypnotherapy stuff and make him do some shopping on his credit card when he eventually surfaces?

Happy D-Day wil! passes exercise ball and curry

Fleurchamp · 19/01/2015 11:12

Thanks for the reassurance. I have drunk loads of water, pee'd loads but am so uncomfortable Sad
It came on yesterday, how long in your experience did it last?

Fleurchamp · 19/01/2015 11:12

Btw I had stretchy pains in 1st trimester too but nothing like this. I feel sick.

TheBooMonster · 19/01/2015 11:45

fleur is it worth giving your midwife a ring? especially if the pain doesn't go away, better to phone and have her say it's fine then leave it and worry...

teejayem · 19/01/2015 12:00

Happy D-Day wil!

Furniture-gate rumbles on, but FINALLY Mr Tee has intervened between me and MiL. She's swiftly brushed him aside and said that it doesn't matter if we move house, we can just keep the furniture in the garage for now. She just doesn't seem to get that we will probably be out of our current house by this time next year, ergo before (Probably) tiny tee has his own room, ergo we don't need much aside from Snuzpod (Apparently ridiculous and he'll grow out of it) and poss ikea drawers. When Mr Tee said that we didn't want a wardrobe, as I'd got to 31 and barely hang any of my clothes up, she came back with 'Well that's the problem with Babies, they grow..' Hmm - what that's supposed to mean I do not know.

In the nicest possible way I'm trying to make her understand that I don't want her to spend so much money on something we aren't going to use, but if she wants to buy something on our wish list, she'd be more than welcome, but she will not have any of it. And I thought I'd overcome the hurdle of the sets she liked with a few of my own suggestions, but got told last night that they were too expensive. (not by much). It all ended with her saying that she wants to know what one we want by the end of the week (of the selection she likes) because she wants to get the best deal in the sale. Whether I want it or not.

I really don't know what to do. Last night I was just going to bite the bullet and agree to whatever, because I'm getting myself really really, worked up over it (Which is quite unusual for me, as I'm pretty chilled out) but I am just upset and uncomfortable at being railroaded into something. On the other hand, I spoke to my Mum and she thinks I should just stick to my guns and ask for what I want. I have, but she just doesn't listen. It's just so unnecessarily stressful, and ridiculous. Mr Tee says I should stop stressing about it and if she wants to waste her money, then it's her problem, and I keep repeating the 'She's only excited, and showing it in a really wanky way' mantra. :( Ugh.

And I'm not sure, but I think I have the start of a UTI. It's been oddly uncomfy to turn and wipe after a wee (Sorry for the image..) since bump has seemingly popped again, but this morning I had a shooting pain which felt like it was going to my kidneys when I wee'd after getting up, and the feeling of needing to wee but not being able to has started this morning. On the whole, feeling a bit shit.. sorry for the rant, I'm going to buy jaffa cakes at lunch and eat all of them.

LaLa5 · 19/01/2015 12:00

Fleur I would call midwife, best thing to do if you're worried. Hope you feel better. My early pain was a corpus luteum in my tube but that was really early on.

Wil can I get my pom poms out yet?

Lil - grapefruits!!!??? Wow!

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 19/01/2015 12:16

bah tee sorry your MiL is still being pushy about the furniture! Is she planning to have it sitting in your garage? Perhaps refuse to select one of her choices, because you've told her the ones you like and they're not it and you see little point in her wasting money on something you won't use because you'll end up getting the furniture you like and using it instead. if she makes decision on your behalf refuse to accept delivery of it?

lildottie · 19/01/2015 12:22

tee I'm with boo she either gets you something you want or you refuse her gift. Sounds like DH needs to stand up to her a bit more tbh she's his mother after all and he should be protecting you from the stress of it all.

fleur i agree you should just ask and put your mind at rest. hope it fells better soon

wil anything? pom poms at the ready!

And yes grapefruits! I'm to expect bloating and aching! No shit!

teejayem · 19/01/2015 12:33

I've just emailed Mr Tee (We're both at work) and said I want him to give her access to the Amazon wish list we've set up, and We'd like her to use that. I'm doing the same with my Mum & Dad.

Let's see how that goes down...It does seem ludicrous (To me, anyway) that you'd try and force a wardrobe on anyone. No? (Also aware that I am probably slightly mental at the moment anyway).

dottie OMG Grapefruit!? eeeek! I will never complain about Ovulation pain, ever again!!!

Purplecircle · 19/01/2015 12:50

Morning viroids. Lil that doesn't sound great, hope it's not too uncomfortable.
Tee I think I'd tell her to get what you want and pay the difference. Or failing that give her the wish list. Would she buy something when you have moved?

I'm having really disturbed sleep at the moment. Was awake from 3-6 this morning then dozed til the alarm and snoozed it a lot!
Is this a pregnant thing? I'm putting everything down to it.
Told my parents yesterday. They were chuffed.

ChatEnOeuf · 19/01/2015 12:58

Grapefruit! Shock Awesome...I think...

Tee is there any way she would be persuaded to set up a 'baby tee room' in her house, with all the stuff in it she likes? Then when she's badgering you about first birthday presents, you can produce a wardrobe that you like, for the house that you're in...??

Fleur I'm sure I remember learning (once upon a time) that fibroids can cause pain in pregnancy - it's one of the indications for removing them, if the pain isn't manageable. Definitely worth getting a look-over though, wee infections can feel similar.

Happy due date Wil!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 19/01/2015 13:11

Hi viroids, sorry not been on, had 3 days of feeling pretty good (so it is possible!), but then Sunday hit the wall again and spent pretty much the whole day in bed. Feel like I've got flu, so am off work yet again today, no idea how long they are going to tolerate this, I am managing to WFH a bit but there is no way I can go in, after 20 mins sat at my laptop I have to go and have a lie down cos I start getting dizzy. Blood test results still not in, tomorrow will be a week since they took blood and I have to phone back then. They've cancelled my flu jab which was meant to be today as nurse said til they can suss out whats making me feel so garbage it's safest not to have it. I am just over 9 weeks now. Seriously hope this doesn't continue for too much longer. I'm not enjoying being pg at the moment, and feel guilty for feeling like this but I've felt crap for the last 4 weeks pretty much bar 3 days last week. I am fit and healthy, my body ought to be able to do this! I'm just grateful we had a scan last week and everything looked ok.

Zyla so sorry to read what's happened, but glad you are in and they are looking after you. You mustn't feel guilty either, you are doing an amazing job.

lil that sounds uncomfortable! How long will you have grapefruit ovaries for?? Hope all goes well this week.

Sorry to be such a moaning minnie.

lildottie · 19/01/2015 13:27

awesome is not the word I'd use chat. Essie hopefully not too long, they should go down after ec on Monday. they may only get to the size of Jaffa oranges hopefully apparently. even walnuts seem pretty big!

sorry you're feeling rough again Essie. hopefully they figure it out from the blood tests.

tee good on you! and no yanbu to not want a wardrobe forced on you, pg or not! and please call me lil, I get confused when you call me Dottie and think I've missed someone new because yes I'm that stupid Grin
