20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I've just spent a while signing up for the baby clubs for free stuff and offers Grin if anyone is buying anything online from tommee tippee direct from their site, use the code WEL10 to get 20% off at the check out!

LaLaLaaaa · 01/02/2015 13:50

Oooh that's a point Lauren - I was looking for breast pump and steriliser tips please! Was it PHillips Avent pump electric people recommend? and which microwave steriliser?

laurenamium · 01/02/2015 14:38

I'm getting the ardo breast pump la. I think it's the calypso one, not sure about the microwave steriliser but I have my eye on the avent steam electric one, not sure if it's the best though!

willywallace · 01/02/2015 16:01

I think microwave sterilisers are all much of a muchness. The only thing to check is that they fit whatever bottles you want to use inside. Thw actual steriliser is pretty much just a container.

I used Phillips avent pump last time. It was the electric one but it also came with a manual pump top which was handy. I found it great although this time have also gone for the ardo. The one thig I found about avent was sometimes the milk pooled in little places and so you had to kind of lean forward to make it go where you wanted it to. No big deal though.

I feel bad for moaning earlier, I'm just tired, she's lovely really.

TheBooMonster · 01/02/2015 19:03

la if you're planning on pumping it's worth looking at the milton combi steriliser, you can use it as a cold water steriliser so it's great for dumping the pump bits on, taking them out to pump cleaning and putting back in, but you can also use it to sterilise (i think in 3 minutes?) in the microwave. We're going with the Ardo Calypso pump if we ever get round to buying it! it's a closed system pump so milk can't get in the tubes or motor.

DulcetMoans · 01/02/2015 19:45

Thanks viroids, I think I will give it a go and just turn up. Just learnt about a new class at a local college that started this month for bumps too - was genuinely excited!

Don't feel bad wil, it's normal to get wound up but even the most well meaning relative. Doesn't mean you aren't grateful too!

KatoPotato · 01/02/2015 20:34

Viroids sorry I've been awol. I've responded well to the antibiotics but still to use the inhaler if I feel chesty.

Will go back and catch up but just wanted to share this link my yoga teacher put on Facebook:

laurenamium · 01/02/2015 20:47

I'm so jealous of all the pregnancy exercise classes you've got in your area dulcet! There was none at all when I looked around my area Sad

DulcetMoans · 01/02/2015 20:58

There was only yoga lauren, this other one I found only just started so must have seen the gap in the market! We have no lazy daisy or anything.

Love it kato - at the 'wind or movement' stage at the mo!

townsender · 01/02/2015 21:26

dulcet what was the new class, was it part of a brand or just an independent? Looking for ideas for when I pass the 12 week milestone.

Kato glad you're feeling better.

DulcetMoans · 01/02/2015 21:30

It's called Active Bumps town. Think it is local though as it's a new Facebook group. Can't join though or people will see! Have snapped the poster on my phone instead.

Purplecircle · 01/02/2015 21:35

I just googled classes and found a whole site with forum for parents in my local area. Loads of antenatal and baby classes, massage, sensory etc.

There's a list of baby friendly cafes, classes on how to look after a baby and stuff for sale

Definitely need to investigate more Smile

willywallace · 01/02/2015 21:58

I'd love to find some exercise class although can't imagine there will be one which will accommodate a baby and a toddler. Fuck going jogging with a double buggy.

What does FTW stand for by the way?

Thanks Dulcet. I've been feeling so guilty I've been extra nice to her. She must think I'm a total fruit loop Grin .

Purplecircle · 01/02/2015 22:16

There are pushchair/pram exercise classes on the site I found. Maybe you'll burn extra calories with a double wil Smile

DulcetMoans · 01/02/2015 22:32

FTW - for the win.

It would be tough for baby and toddler I think. Seen plenty for babies/prams but yeah, toddler not so easy. Will she go to nursery? Otherwise I guess it's stuff at home...

willywallace · 01/02/2015 23:22

Can't really afford nursery. She'll go to school nursery after the summer so maybe I just have to be fat for 8 months Grin .

LaLaLaaaa · 02/02/2015 00:19

Dulcet me too!

I go to fitmummy. After baby they have classes also for you with baby. Really good!

Purplecircle · 02/02/2015 06:57

I didn't know what ftw meant either Smile

ChatEnOeuf · 02/02/2015 07:08

Aside from chasing after toddlers in the park with the baby in a sling, I've not seen anything designed for both. Money-maker if you do I guess! DD likes to sit on DH's back when he's doing planks/press-ups...?

LaLaLaaaa · 02/02/2015 07:37

Raaasaaah! Dh promised me last night he wouldn't get too drunk at his work party and if he did he'd sleep in spare room. Of course he didn't succeed in either and I've been kept awake all night by him snoring and breathing fumes in my face. Got a long hard day ahead at work followed by 40 min drive each way to daisy class

:( not happy

lildottie · 02/02/2015 08:20

why didn't u wake him up and kick him out of bed la?

Fleurchamp · 02/02/2015 08:28

My DH is in the bad books too, this morning at 5.45am He had a hissy fit because he couldn't find his keys. So he woke me Finder of all things lost and I told him he put them in my handbag yesterday. My bag is next to me and so I bend down to get it, he snatches it from me and proceeds to tip it out on the bed. Beyond furious as my bag is full of junk - receipts, old sweets, change - you know the score and now it's all over the bed!
Pillock. Apparently he couldn't take my keys which were by the door Hmm
And my MIL is here which means I have had to get up early as she expects breakfast at the table and conversation for at least 20 minutes. Whereas I am one to eat whilst getting ready - it puts me out of my routine!

Monday morning moan over!

willywallace · 02/02/2015 08:29

You need a drunk box for him La. Like a swear box - every time he annoys you when drunk he needs to put a fiver in the jar. Think of all the baby things you could buy!

Hahaha Chat, MiniWil is a bit of a chunk, I doubt I'd make it to 5.

Pisghetti · 02/02/2015 08:41

I am fully loaded with snot. Serves me right for being smug about DS and DP sharing a cold and thinking I'd got away with it. Eurghh.

Sorry to those of you with DH annoyances. The drunk box sounds like an excellent idea!

I bought a new car yesterday! It's all shiny and clean and doesn't smell of damp like my poor old Frankie. He'll be going on gumtree this evening but need to shell out for insurance first so I can have a go at driving the new one. DP drove it back on a one day policy in case there were any niggles as we ended up travelling 100 miles away to get the model/engine we wanted. He doesn't drive gently and still managed to get a great fuel economy from it so it should end up costing me a lot less to run than my old one.

I'm into single figure for mat leave countdown Shock next week will be my last Monday morning of work in 2015 Shock Grin Shock

laurenamium · 02/02/2015 08:50

Definitely get a drunk box la!
