20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Oooh good luck zyla, hopefully by the end of this week you'll be having newborn cuddles and all this worry will be over xx

Ooh good luck Zyla!

Glad there's been a little progress wil even if only a little.

I went skiing in the 3 valleys last year. Most of the group were raving about these 15e omelettes in Courchevel. When I gave it a go it was actually a 18e omelette and I've definitely had better. I suspect the 8e diet coke may have left a bitter taste...

Autocorrect keeps inserting apostrophes where they don't belong! If I've missed any - I'm not illiterate I promise.

The baby has shifted. Not sure where. I was half awake this morning lying on my back with my hands on my tummy and she appeared to stand up and walk from one side of my womble to the other. Freaky! Whatever she's done the pressure is now off my ribs so hopefully she's gone south.

Stoatystoat · 31/01/2015 11:31

Popping on to say

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Had a tiny bit more blood on wiping and this has been going on for over a week. No pain. Occasionally getting 'sensations' down there which if I wasn't bleeding, I would assume to be symptomatic of all the changes that are happening.

I'm in bed still and not feeling up to much. DH is doing a fine job of looking after me and being calm. He rang his mum and his dad answered the phone and for the first time since DH has lived up here, they had a conversation during which he sent his love and said for me to relax.

I'm supposed to be out with my friends tonight, luckily the weather means it has changed from bar crawl to restaurant.

Hope everyone is ok.

laurenamium · 31/01/2015 13:42

Loving all the yogurt talk, I've just had some too. Although admittedly the low fat high sugar onken type. I don't like the Greek yogurt stuff.

Spent the morning with the horses and lunged the ponies in the snow as it was too cold for DD to ride. I feel like I'm waddling these days and not walking, and I've had a few comments over the last couple of days as to how huge my bump is. It is pretty ginormous though, I've stayed the same measurements so far everywhere else though which is a good sign! I just need to remember my water or I swell up!

Glad you got some sleep last night zyla! Have you had the full steroids course yet?

townsender · 31/01/2015 14:33

Now I want to go and buy some yoghurt. Dammit, I went to Sainsburys this morning, can't be arsed to go out in the cold and wet again.

Zyla, I loved my bouncy ball when I was pregnant before. Not sure at what point I'll get it out again (probably when the sofa starts to give me a bad back). Excited for you about Friday, sounds like you're both doing really well!

Stoat I feel for you Sad. Today you are pregnant though, hang on in there.

I went out with some of my friends last night. One of them might have guessed I was pg as she bought me a drink, but she knows I'm trying and knows better than to ask! She's a really good friend so I don't mind either. But I am NOT going out tonight, DP is going to the pub with his friends (and their other halves) and I just can't face it. I can't be arsed to lie.

ZylaB · 31/01/2015 14:42

Turns out induction will be on Saturday if my bp is stable until then! Friday was full, but I'm booked in for sat. Bp still high though so we shall see!

ChatEnOeuf · 31/01/2015 16:16

Oohhhh! Zyla cuddles within the week! Good luck :)

Stoat it's just awful isn't it. My on-off bleeding/brown CM torture lasted until about 11w, it drove me slightly crackers. Hurry up Thursday...

I hate yogurt. Except when pregnant with DD, then I loved the stuff.

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 17:56

God I've just done something a bit risky. My wedding dress is in the washing machine, inside out, inside a duvet cover...

I can't afford the £150 to get it dry cleaned, it's got mud all over the bottom and cat pee down the front (thanks cats). No way would the stains have come out at dry cleaner and I've read loads of articles and forums where they say to just bung it in the machine on hand wash setting.

Eek! I'm very nervous...

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 17:57

Stoat this must be such a hard time for you waiting :(. Fx this is going to be ok

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 31/01/2015 18:07

Fx all is ok Stoat must be horrible waiting Sad

Are you planning on wearing it next week La Wink

Fondue party later - I'll be the one eating aaall the hot cheese Grin

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 18:09

Ha! No....I was just so bloody sick of it hanging in the spare room for 2 years. I needed to do something as we need the nursery space and if I'd stored it smelly and pee covered it would disintegrate over time.

I'm anxiously watching the washing go round and round...

Fleurchamp · 31/01/2015 18:12

So, after about 15 reminder letters and texts, I have received a letter and text today from the hospital to say that my appointment with the consultant next week has been moved back by two months!
So not at all urgent then.
I guess the visit to the consultant regarding the fibroid is just to decide if it's going to impact on the way I give birth? No one has explained it to me. TBH I may just cancel it altogether, I am so over the NHS. I just want to scrape the money together to go private.
Harrumph Sad

Fleurchamp · 31/01/2015 18:13

Sorry for moaning stoat pretty insensitive of me.

Hope you're ok Flowers

Purplecircle · 31/01/2015 18:30

Mines not moved since we got home after the wedding either La. Hope it's ok, I was thinking about washing mine too

RPopz · 31/01/2015 18:31

Eek La! How did it go...? I still need to put mine in storage... or sell it. Was literally only thinking about it this morning. It's also hanging in the spare room but thankfully has escaped the cat's clutches so far!!

Waaah Zyla! Can't believe you'll be a mummy by the end of the week!! Grin Shock Grin

TheBooMonster · 31/01/2015 18:33

la it should be fine, my aunt owns a dress shop and she washes the dresses in a machine. Did mine between the last fitting and giving it to me for the day, we washed it in the machine after the day (because it was covered in mud and bird poo round the bottom, photos by docked boats are a bad idea) and it's come out fine.

TheBooMonster · 31/01/2015 18:35

bah fleur what a pain in the arse! they moved my anaesthetic review so late last time that I'd had dd by the time the appointment rolled round, spent the 2 days I was waiting for induction telling everyone who'd listen I was due a review and they all just sort of patted me on the shoulder and said "yes dear"

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 18:44

fleur that's a pain :( I'm really sorry

It's come out absolutely fine! The stains at the bottom are still there if you look for them but nothing like what they were. Beading, hand-stitched beading and lace all intact!

Only bit that's a problem is the pee stain on the front of the bodice - it's come out of the fabric but not the lace overlay. anyone know how to get it out? Blooming cat must have stood on top of door and peed down onto dress. It looks orange/brown on the lace.

I'm thinking perhaps soaking in some detergent and stain remover and try gently rubbing the stain remover into the lace?

DulcetMoans · 31/01/2015 19:08

What a good tip la, didn't know you could do that with a wedding dress! Too late for me, took it to dry cleaners about 6 mnths ago. Damn it! Bank this though lauren, save you some quids when you get there.

What a pain fleur, would midwife be able to explain what it was for? That's a big delay too, how do you know it's even still useful then?!

All the cheese pis, but what with?!

Sorry you are still in the stressful time stoat, bed is the best place. We will all be counting down until Thursday!

I've been on a patchwork workshop today. Was good! Going to make a blanket, I will! and finish the crochet one

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 19:13

Patchwork sounds fun dulcet!

Disclaimer: you shouldn't do it to a silk dress. Mine's lace overlay and silk/satin underlay but it's not real silk (I hope - it doesn't seem to have shrunk anyway!). You've also got to do it inside out, inside a light coloured duvet cover and mustn't use fabric softener. I found loads of threads of people who'd done it which is why I went for it. I used Vanish spray on the stains first. I've bought a box off eBay for £14 with acid-free paper to store it in.

townsender · 31/01/2015 20:23

Mine wedding dress was hung up in the spare room for ages, before I got fed up with looking at it and took it to a charity shop (unwashed, am I very bad?). Got divorced a few years later! The 2 things are not linked....

DP and I are vaguely considering getting married, so have been sneakily googling maternity wedding dresses Grin.

I am at home, alone now, 6 weeks pregnant so can't be arsed to go to the pub with DPs friends and make small talk while nursing a tonic water to pretend I'm drinking. I'm so bored though!! No pregnancy symptoms yet either, was trying to convince myself that my bra was getting tight but I think I just ate too much dinner Hmm

laurenamium · 31/01/2015 21:26

Oh I didn't even consider the technicalities of wedding dress washing and storage! I haven't even started looking at dresses yet, too busy baby shopping Grin

Hope you're okay stoaty!

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 21:49

For the first time I've just stood in front of the mirror naked and looked at myself as pregnant. It was surreal. It's such a tiny thing still, but it creates such a huge difference in your bodyGrin

It's fascinating! I'm starting to get used to my new shape and I like it.

OP posts:
RPopz · 31/01/2015 21:56

I loved my pregnancy body. I really miss my bump now it's gone!

willywallace · 31/01/2015 21:57

If you store the dresses what will you do with them eventually?
