20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

boo hope everything's ok!

I'm getting DH to bring some gaviscon in tomorrow, I'm sooooo acids and they will give it you here, but it's like a thimble full! I need the bottle to swig! Am off the insulin drip now steroids have done their job. She's had hiccups lots the last couple of days so obviously testing her growing lungs! :). Bed time soon as I'm knackered having been woken up every hour the last 2 nights. Will only be woken at 10pm, 2am and 6am for blood pressure/drugs so tonight will be a luxury!

Fleurchamp · 30/01/2015 20:45

la I got all cocky in the 1st trimester and congratulated myself on only putting on 1lb - roll on two weeks and I am up another 4lb. I am constantly hungry.
Complete strangers express surprise when I say I am 15 weeks, I look massive!

willywallace · 30/01/2015 20:56

I have a stone to lose. Seems like a mammoth task at the moment.

Sounds good Zyla, do you have your own room?

willywallace · 30/01/2015 21:04

Liked that link La, I suspect I'll be mentally punching many people.

ZylaB · 30/01/2015 21:11

Yeah i do this time wil thankfully! :)

TheBooMonster · 30/01/2015 21:19

I'm back! They strapped me down to a bed to listen to the heart beat with half a gallon of ice cold water and a clicker. I spent most of the time wincing in horror at the lady somewhere else on the unit who was very definitely in labour, bump is fine, midwife said that if I'm not happy with movements tomorrow to go back and gave me the straps to go in my folder (because my folder needed more random stuff in it for me to lose!)

I have determinedly avoided the scales, they weighed me at the hospital though, so I'll have a look in my notes in a bit and experience the cold hard slap in the face of just how much weight I've gained this time round courtesy of Papa John's take aways and whole trays of doughnuts....

laurenamium · 30/01/2015 21:43

Good news on measuring right mini Smile I have mine on Tuesday!

Glad everything's okay boo

I get depressed getting on the scales. I too was cocky for the first 18 or so weeks about weight gain. I feel like I'm piling it on at the minute!

Thank you chat for the drug run down Grin I've taken a note of the other one you mentioned too. I'm going to be their worst nightmare this time I think!

DulcetMoans · 30/01/2015 21:46

Great news boo. Big relief. Hope you can relax and movements get back to normal.

ZylaB · 30/01/2015 21:51

Glad it's ok boo!

LaLa5 · 30/01/2015 22:01

Good news boo!!
Hope you're comfortable zyla and get some sleep

I'm knackered...zzzz

Purplecircle · 30/01/2015 22:25

Glad you're ok Boo. And Zyla hope things remain calm.

I am already a few stone overweight obese and determined not to gain much if anything at all.

I need to keep my blood sugar low so that's forcing me to eat healthily. It's all low GI and low fat around here. So far diabetes nurse is happy with my readings. I'm taking them 7/8 times a day then phone her with them twice a week.

So I can dream of a neat bump and people knowing I'm pregnant and not just fat but in reality I don't think that will happen.

lildottie · 30/01/2015 22:55

be careful of low fat products purple, they are full of sugar and chemicals. especially things like yoghurt. I've switched to natural yoghurt now.

DulcetMoans · 31/01/2015 07:35

Yogurt is terrible for sugar isn't it! When I was losing weight was told to go for ones with less than 10grams of sugar and low fat. Managed to find two types that fit that criteria!!

I'm all about porridge now though people! I love the porridge!

You'll be testing this time next week lil! Because we all know a JSer wouldn't wait! Wink

Still no snow... Bloody South coast.

mountaingirl01 · 31/01/2015 07:52

La I've seen pics of you. You are properly slim! sounds dodgier than it meant to
There is no way I'm going near the scales after this week. I've just breakfasted on Nutella straight out of the pot although bean has saved me slightly by making me feel sick at the smell of cheese. ..I'm in the alps and can't eat cheese. Pah.
Just to fuel the insanity lil..I got bfp at 7dpo..

willywallace · 31/01/2015 08:54

How's the skiing going Mountain?

Mm yoghurt, now I want one and we don't have any. I want to like porridge Dulcet but the consistency gives me the boak.

Chat your sleeping on side has helped a bit, thanks for that suggestion.

DulcetMoans · 31/01/2015 08:56

So the easily influenced food cravings don't stop once baby is here then wil! Haha. Have my porridge now. Not something I ever had really before this week but were on offer, fancied it, now I can't get enough! Is this a craving? Who knows?!

lildottie · 31/01/2015 09:00

I love porridge but at this time of year its hot weetabix all the way! of course I love nutella too but.

dh ate a whole cheesecake and a creme egg last night and is a quarter of a pound lighter this morning Angry

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 09:01

Morning!

Hope you're having fun mountain!

Is she a bit better wil?

We have snow! Just a powdering but it's there

OP posts:
ChatEnOeuf · 31/01/2015 09:15

I stepped on the scales last week, not doing it again! Gained about 8lb. My appetite is massive at the moment, I'm needing pudding every evening Blush

I love porridge, though if skiing my downfall is pate on toast or omelette for breakfast - but at least I burn it off on the slopes. I did make some scones yesterday (DH couldn't find yeast in the cornershop to make the hot cross buns I really wanted) so I'm having those for breakfast this weekend. Better than croissants...I guess :)

Glad something's helping Wil!

Purplecircle · 31/01/2015 09:33

I hate yogurt, I don't know why. I think its the cold consistency of it

Low GI is all about non-processed foods but any dairy I have is low fat. I can't eat sugar/cake because of the diabetes.
I think I have to give up poached eggs for brekkie after yesterday's morning sickness incident.
So I'm eating pretty healthily and obviously not drinking. I nearly had a hypo before bed last night though. I need to watch out for them

lildottie · 31/01/2015 09:39

I switched from low fat dairy for the infertility treatment as I read full fat is better for reproductive processes. think it was something to do with low fat stuff having the protein stripped out. can't remember now. to me if its low fat isn't natural, nature intended it to have the fat in it.

how did you sleep zyla? and wil, dare I ask?

willywallace · 31/01/2015 09:57

You all make me feel bad (apart from MrLil - excellent work on the cheesecake). I never watch what I'm eating.

Hope you manage to stave off those hypos Purple and also hope you're doing ok Zyla.

Well progress of sorts. She slept in crib but only for an hour at a time. Still, better than nothing.

LaLa5 · 31/01/2015 10:15

I live yoghurt but have been guilty for years of the 0% fat trap - ie tonnes of sugar! I now have low fat natural or Greek yoghurt with fruit added so I get natural sugar instead of bad.

I've followed GI diet for years - balanced portions, ingredients that fill you up and are slow burning energy. But since getting pg I've had an insanely sweet tooth and it's hard not to give in to the cake trolley at work (mmm maltesers). For breakfast I normally have granola which fills me up til 11 when I have a banana which keeps me going til lunch. My rule is if I watch what I eat most of the week then I get at least 2 meals where I get what I want. Yesterday I had pub fish n chips for lunch and we usually get takeaway on Sunday .

I've not tried my dealcholised wine yet from waitrose, I'm expecting it to be awful.

Our snow is gone again!

ZylaB · 31/01/2015 10:24

purple higher fat levels can sometimes help your carbs be absorbed slower and help with the sugar levels, so don't beat yourself up too much about fat content whilst pregnant!
Also, as we can't have too much sugar, fat and protein is the way forward!

I slept fairly well, only woken 4 times :) doc happyish with me but my bp creeping up again. We're still aiming for induction on fri if my body behaves so DH brought my ball in and I'm bouncing in an attempt to keep her head down and encourage her to face the right way dos I'm not sure If she's back to back!

Purplecircle · 31/01/2015 10:46

Thanks Zyla didn't know that. It's definitely a balancing act. Today on my seeded toast I had a slice of ham and a sprinkling of cheese instead of eggs. It was lush, still got my protein and I didn't vom Smile

Hope the ball works
