20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

How exciting Lil! wow, your TWOT is going to be a long one, hopefully got lots on to keep you entertained??

purple I went out for a work dinner on tuesday to a very posh steak place. Had to order (by whispering) to the waiter medium-well done, felt like I was committing some kind of culinary crime! Think I managed to fool people into thinking I was drinking red wine (pretend sips), so hopefully no one has suspected.....

Pom poms for La!!

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 21:36

Ignore me lil I've just seen it - incredible!!! Thanks for sharing Smile

townsender · 29/01/2015 21:50

Just saw the pic Lil, that is just incredible!! Did they saw how big the embryos are at that stage? And are they individual cells you can see? The scientist in me is getting very excited!

lildottie · 29/01/2015 21:52

town the nurse doing the transfer said hey are the size of a full stop on a page! its amazing they can do what they do with something so small! I'm so chuffed they offered us pics. whatever happens I will always have those now

TheBooMonster · 29/01/2015 22:07

lil those are some gorgeous embryos!

laurenamium · 29/01/2015 22:21

Wow lil those are impressive! Got everything crossed for you!

Is eating rare steak a really bad thing when you're pregnant then? What are the risks? I'm pretty good with pregnancy eating etc. I've not even had a sip of anything alcoholic since before getting a bfp...but what's the steak risks? I've been eating mine quite rare Blush didn't even realise steak was a risk, I've never been ill from steak before!

willywallace · 29/01/2015 22:28

Toxoplasmosis I think Lauren. It's pretty rare though I would assume.

Will head off to find the undergrad thread to check out these tiny miracles.

townsender · 29/01/2015 22:49

Lauren, its like willy says, toxoplasmosis.
I'm pretty relaxed about what I eat in pregnancy (sushi and parma ham are a staple part of my diet!), but I have been ill from rare steak before. To be honest (TMI moment here), rare steak usually gives me some form of bad guts, and I just can't face that at the moment (much as I love the taste).

DulcetMoans · 29/01/2015 23:42

I've seen things inside your body lil! Weird!! Looking good, those are some good looking eggs right there!

Oh no chat, I was trusting it to be right. Could it be US size icecream is slightly bigger? I'll go with that as I don't like the fruit one. Today was a small melon - argh! If you have to specify small it's not a size! It's the same as a large orange. And what kind of melon? Gives me unreasonable pregnancy rage.

Congrats on the sexy times la. Just promised mine I will give it a go this weekend but to go easy. He's very sweet about it all.

lauren, I think as long as the steak is sealed - so all outside is cooked, it's meant to be ok. But I'm not an expert.

LaLa5 · 30/01/2015 05:19

Just woke up and saw gaggia has a bfp. Best news :) what an amazing week we are having

OP posts:
willywallace · 30/01/2015 05:29

That's good.

I am so tired. She feeds for half an hour. Takes an hour to settle and then wakes up half an hour later to do it all again. I get no sleep at all. Driving me nuts.

LaLa5 · 30/01/2015 05:53

:( wil that sounds exhausting does she go down for longer in day?

OP posts:
LaLa5 · 30/01/2015 07:09

Hold horses...she's going to do another test. I've got all my fx for her it would be so great to have her back

OP posts:
laurenamium · 30/01/2015 07:18

Ah thanks for the steak advice everyone!

Excellent news about gaggia!

I keep having rude dreams about people that aren't DP Shock obviously I won't be telling him this but I wake up feeling guilty!

DulcetMoans · 30/01/2015 07:33

That was defo a line though!

My dreams go the others way lauren, dreamt DH went to some weird sex club last night. Then I'm sad when I wake up!

Crippled by nipples! It's like someone hacking at them with glass!

LaLa5 · 30/01/2015 07:43

I've had many rude dreams! The other day dh was trying to bend me over the sink in one, then I had one about a male friend who isn't fanciable in the least! Apparently normal..

Dh had one where he was helping me give birth, bless him

I feel impatient that I'm not feeling baby move yet. C'mon baby!

You may have a little while to go yet La with this being your first! Pregnancy is a whole bunch of waits. It's only now I'm approaching the final straight that it seems to be going quickly. I bet mat leave will whizz by Sad

I wonder what sort of witchcraft Chat used on that thread! How strange about Gaggia - it was definitely a line! When I fell pregnant with DS, I had what I now know to be implantation pain and bleeding which wasn't entirely dissimilar to her bathroom experience. I felt like I'd been stabbed in the womble, couldn't stand from the pain and then it just went after a few minutes and I was fine.

Not having much in the way of dreams. Not having much in the way of sleep. I was wide awake from about half four this morning. Now I'm at my desk I could sleep for Wales. I'm going to be making good use of the nap when I'm not working! 'My' rest room might actually be free today for a cheeky snooze if I don't perk up soon. Sorry Wil - you're obviously having it much worse. Hope you manage some rest soon Confused

ZylaB · 30/01/2015 09:15

wil hope you get some sleep soon!

Ok, we seem to have a plan! I'm not allowed home, they're saying it is pre eclampsia so I've got to stay. We're trying to get me through another week if things stay not too bad and induce at 36 weeks (fingers crossed they stay acceptable until then), if not I guess she'll be here if and when things take a turn for the worse! I feel ok in myself so hopefully a good sign and can come off the drip tonight so will hopefully get a better nights sleep. Baby has been a bit quiet so need monitoring.

I wanted to go home and make sure that cats hadn't forgotten me!

chat how different is induction at 36 weeks to 38 or so? I kind of feel like I should avoid pethadine etc cos I don't want her any more sleepy when she's born?

ChatEnOeuf · 30/01/2015 09:31

I may have said a few words as composing the title...whatever works!

Zyla, it's not hugely different to be honest - a normally-grown baby will cope with the process just as well as a term infant. I dislike pethidine in all deliveries, because it drives me round the bend having to breathe for them until it's out of their system, but that's just my laziness coming through! I thought Queens were using diamorph now, which is slightly better but still annoying - especially if it's given and then you deliver within a couple of hours...but if you need pain relief it's really good stuff (had it post spinal surgery). There will be a neonatal doc there as a precaution, as it's a preterm delivery but generally they will go in with the expectation they won't be needed.

I really miss properly cooked steak and the inevitable red wine. My consultant tested me for toxo (has done about four times so far!), despite years of rare steak and cat ownership, I'm still negative, but apparently most UK women are as it's rare in the UK. It's 'endemic' in the Belgian food chain though, so I've got to be really careful - though I've not really enjoyed a medium steak yet, I tend to order other stuff.

ZylaB · 30/01/2015 09:43

Thanks chat I haven't actually asked them what they use, have asked to try and plan the birth a bit with a midwife later, but wanted some info first :)

Purplecircle · 30/01/2015 10:21

Zyla at least you have a plan now. That's got to be a good thing.

Wil I hope you get some sleep soon, sounds horrendous

Apparently I don't eat eggs for brekkie anymore. Worst nausea ever today and still feeling shite.

Off to see what the undergrads are up to

TheBooMonster · 30/01/2015 10:32

zyla if it helps it's possible that labour will be swift enough that you won't need have time for much more than gas and air. I'm dreading the idea of how long a natural labour could drag on for in comparison!

RPopz · 30/01/2015 11:41

Lil how bloody exciting! Grin You're technically kinda sorta upduffed! How you feeling? Everything crossed for you x

Sorry you're still in Zyla, hopefully you can hold out til 36 wks. They'll be monitoring the baby I guess if you're being induced? So they'll let you know if pethidine is ok or not. Hope you've got plenty to keep you occupied while you're stuck on the ward!

Congrats gaggia Smile

Sorry about lack of sleep Wil ... I had to kick DH out of bed last night he was snoring so unbelievably loudly... couldn't get any sleep what with him on one side and DS chattering/ snuffling on the other!! Shock

Stoatystoat · 30/01/2015 12:27

No worries on the early well wishes folks, I probably worded it incorrectly. Still in limbo here. Waiting waiting waiting. Torn between feeling convinced no pain, means nothing wrong so I can still look at prams and names to feeling like I should go out and get glammed up and drink cocktails and book a holiday. I know I can still get glammed up and go places while in limbo and also if all is well...but it just puts a different spin on things. Cosying up with my husband with DVDs seems the best bet anyway. I'm really missing running but I really haven't the confidence to go right now, and we've had snow anyway so pavements are horrific. I'm managing to go for gentle strolls though.
