20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

just the one dulcet, no more needles! was going to poas today for a laugh (trigger is hcg) but I forgot!

lildottie · 26/01/2015 08:43

haha squeezed a bit more wee out and did an ic! bit odd to see a second line, even odder when you know you're not pg!

Pisghetti · 26/01/2015 09:17

Thanks Viroids Smile a bit of sympathy and incitement to violence has cheered me up no end Grin MrP is at least spending the day sanding woodwork in the nursery which is a job I loathe so he's being useful.

Ooh Lil I'm so excited for you!

Wil they learn the difference in their teens. You're welcome Wink

Boo I worked in retail when I was expecting DS. The general public are, in the main, arseholes. It's strange really as I'm sure the proportion of people I know IRL who are arseholes isn't representative!

Yes I have two weeks of 'real' work and then I'll have a week of finishing things off, handing over and tidying my desk. I've particularly looking forward to clearing out my 'tea and condiments' drawer...... Only two more Monday get ups!

Baby is having her morning hiccups and is apparently practising karate chops on my cervix Confused

willywallace · 26/01/2015 09:33

Envy Pis.

I might have to continue gorging myself on pate and brie to cheer myself up. It's acceptable for every meal right? with red wine

Pisghetti · 26/01/2015 09:39

I think when your daytime/night time is so skewed, there is no 'unreasonable' time of day to start with the red wine Grin I'm so looking forward to a glass of wine. Actually I might treat myself to a really nice bottle of white and red, and have a glass of one or the other within half an hour of arriving home after I've had the baby! I don't like brie but I will also be getting a really stinky camembert and a French stick for a coming home meal.

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 09:42

Mmmmmmmm late. I wants it!!

I woke up at about 2.45 last night and have managed no more than an hour since then, for no reason! Same the night before. This had better not continue. The only thing I can think of is my nose is even more snuffly than normal, so maybe I've got a cold.

Also DH has just told me this phase of pg will pass too at some point in the next 4 weeks. Omg..... 4 weeks max!!! freaks out

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 09:42

*pate

LaLa5 · 26/01/2015 10:04

Grin Love your bfp lil! Must feel weird knowing you could be upduffed v soon

Pis glad he's making himself useful but I hope he understands how insensitive and unhelpful those types of comments are. Not long to go at your work and then you're on the home stretch.

I would kill for wine and Camembert just now! You can have Camembert if it's baked ladies don't forget this important fact! I wasn't too bothered about wine before but now I feel less sick I'd love a nice glass of Pinot noir!

Wil I'm so sorry you're still sore :( is it worth you trying Lauren's bath remedy? Think it was called Badegas?

Zyla how are you feeling?

I've got daisy birthing tonight. Right now I honestly can't be arsed but hopefully tonight I'll feel energised

Male long straggly haired colleague who sits opposite me is combing his hair into sections. Yuck!!!! Go and do it in the bathroom!!!!!

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 10:09

la I feel rubbish but am pretty sure it's just a cold. Am back at hospital on wed for scan and to see consultants, so fx she's growing ok and can stay put for a bit longer :). I like the lazy Daisy classes, but get the giggles inside a little bit when she repeats 'rotate to dilate' dunno why, but I do Grin

Fleurchamp · 26/01/2015 11:26

My yoga teacher says "namaste babies" at the end of class. It makes me cringe!

teejayem · 26/01/2015 11:57

Just back from scan. Definitely a baby in there, and definitely a boy. They've changed my dates again and put me back a few days (sorry la- can you put me down for June 12th please?) - although I'm still unconvinced this is right as I know when I popped the egg as was frivolously using contraband JSing.
Placenta has moved up too which is a relief. He's been crazy active all weekend and today it looked like he was river dancing on my bladder, has def gone from gentle flutters to full on pokes in the space of a week. I'll stick a picture on FB in a bit. Also saw him yawning on scan which was very cool.
Hope yours goes well today cym :)

ChatEnOeuf · 26/01/2015 12:06

Ooh lovely Tee - how strange that they're messing with your dates again.

Cotbed sounds a bargain, La :)

There is definitely no unreasonable time of the day to eat pate and enjoy red wine...

Lil Grin hopefully there will be a real one here in a couple of weeks!

ZylaB · 26/01/2015 12:28

Yay for good scan tee :)

laurenamium · 26/01/2015 13:00

It's called badedas the bath stuff *wilI if you wanted to try it. Not sure if its placebo or not though!

teejayem · 26/01/2015 14:08

It's really odd chat - I know we were quite shocked to have conceived because Mr Tee was in Dubai nearly the whole time I was fertile so I wasn't expecting a winner at all. It's not a massive drama, but I wish they'd make up their minds, this is the 4th date I've had so far! Part of my thinks sod it and go with my calculation, but you never know with rogue sperm eh!

I cracked and the nursery furniture is being delivered in 4 weeks. I know, I know. But I was desperate to be left alone, and I do like the set. (got my own way with that at least) I will still be getting snuzpod etc. Actually feel okay about making purchases now :)

LaLa5 · 26/01/2015 14:08

Ahhh that was it, I was close Grin

Hooray for good scan tee! I'll adjust the stats

What carrier and/or sling do you guys recommend? I want something I can use in house and then another (or same one) to go outside

OP posts:
willywallace · 26/01/2015 14:24

Ooh I forgot about magic bath stuff. Can you get it in Boots?

Fantastic news Tee!

Stoatystoat · 26/01/2015 14:24

Thank you for all the well wishes. It's been a scary few days. Too early for NHS support, too anxious not to worry. Anyway, we've now gone the whole range of the colours for what is an implantation bleed or fake period - it's brown and I'm really hoping it ends today. The doctor doesn't seem concerned because I'm not in pain although he can't guarantee it isn't a problem. He was all set to send me away to wait for more blood/pain & for my scan at 10-12 weeks. I luckily had taken my assertive sister with me and she asked if there wasn't anything else he could do because I was particularly anxious: 'she has done NOTHING this weekend apart from sit and worry, I don't think it would be good for her to have to wait like that for more time than is necessary. Is there nothing you can do?'. And with that, Dr made a call to the EPU and I have a scan next week.

So I'm not out of the woods. But while ever I'm not in pain, and I have a positive pregnancy test, I will assume I'm pregnant. Just got to hope I'm still that way by the time I get to the scan. And I thought the 2ww was hard!!!!

DH has just scoffed a packet of salami I had bought at Christmas. Bastard.

willywallace · 26/01/2015 14:29

Can't recommend a particular one La but from what I've read it seems to be you get a wrap or ring sling type for the first few months and then move onto a structured carrier. There is a page on fb called Sasaslings I think and apparently the woman who runs it is really good at giving advice.

willywallace · 26/01/2015 14:31

Sorry Stoat x-posted. Good that you have a scan but sorry you're going through all this. Got everything crossed for you.

LaLa5 · 26/01/2015 14:37

:( I'm so sorry you're having this worry stoat. It's really horrible in first trimester when you get any sort of bleeding as you think the worst. Try to keep thinking that brown blood is meant to be ok and as long as you're not in pain then it's a good sign. Which day is your scan?

OP posts:
Stoatystoat · 26/01/2015 14:53

Next Thursday. I really am hopeful that the brown blood and no pain is good, and that really, without all this, I still wouldn't be certain of all being okay at my first scan. Just this has added so much doubt.

lildottie · 26/01/2015 14:57

Got gx for you stoat. How many wks will you be by scan?

TheBooMonster · 26/01/2015 15:01

Oh yes wil we got some of the magical bath stuff from boots a few weeks back and it was one of the small boots, so I assume all boots do it, it's in a green box rather than the bottle on the shelf as is. I lived on a pack of pate a day spread on either toast or square crackers for about the first month, in fact pate on little toasted bread biscuits was my first meal after DD was born, Dad went out and got it for me along with a knife whilst I was on the ward!

stoat yay for assertive sisters, fx the scan next week wields a baby!

megaorganised boo has packed the hospital bags, now they will taunt me if I'm not induced and shock horror go overdue :P

Pisghetti · 26/01/2015 15:01

Glad you got somewhere with the GP Stoat - hoorah for assertive sisters! Fx all is well.

I'm pretty sure they do it in Boots Wil. My mum got me some for Christmas a couple of years back. Haven't used much to date - didn't realise it was magic!

A friend of mine is a bit of a sling fiend. She's offered to lend me her stretchy wrap (and practise tying it with her small baby!) for the first few months but I'm not sure what type it is. She had a ring sling with her first but I think she has a couple now. I have one of these for when baby moves on to a structured carrier. It's reversible so DP can use it without denting his manhood too Wink
