20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

fleur it depends on when baby starts to sit or pull themselves up, once they're doing that you probably want them in a cot.

splodge77 · 21/01/2015 22:45

I will have to look up this snuzpod.... I'm hoping to get some kind of co sleeper thingy off ebay that will attach to the bed. We had one with DS which was great - armsreach bassinet think it was, but gave it back to SIL who sold it after her second - dang! Anyone else getting leg cramps in the night? it's a common pregnancy thing apparently, says Dr Google. ye-gods it is mighty painful. Poor DP woken by me yelling and kicking him. Ha ha.

Purplecircle · 21/01/2015 22:50

Boo Zyla, poor you sweetie. Gx that you can stay at home a bit longer. What about a massage to bring your BP down?

I'm trying to think of relaxing things for me to do to calm me down too.

Congrats Lil, tax isn't easy! I spend much of my life dealing with it, although these days it's just PAYE

lildottie · 21/01/2015 22:51

excellent dulcet only another 4 days of 20% a day until its done and you can forget it pay the tax!!

I will not look at this snuzzpod you are all talking about, no matter how intrigued I am! must stay strong!

LaLa5 · 21/01/2015 22:51

And whether baby will sleep in it a la minipopz! Grin

But I do think they are fab and worth the money. Second hand ones go for almost full price so you can sell on afterwards.

I think I'm going to take mum to baby show

I'm a whizz at tax return, we'll do it on Sunday. Got all the paperwork together ready.

What type of sling/carrier do you guys recommend?

Purplecircle · 21/01/2015 22:52

Oh and I made it past the milestone and no spotting. Think we may have a sticky bean SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Purplecircle · 21/01/2015 23:04

Thanks for the list La, I'm waiting to see how you get on with the snuzpod. I quite fancy one too

I went in Asda today and didn't buy any baby stuff. I was quite tempted just to buy a tiny thing like a hat but I know once I start I won't stop! And it's way way way too early!

LaLa5 · 21/01/2015 23:11

Brilliant purple!!!

ZylaB · 22/01/2015 02:52

We've got a Chicco next 2 me instead of a snuzpod. You can't take the bassinet bit off, but it folds down flat which is good for any travelling. It's set up ready so the cats get used to it :)

DulcetMoans · 22/01/2015 07:07

Morning panic ladies - rolled over in the night and got a shooting pain up he middle of my bump. It was like a cramp I guess but came from no where. Couldn't shift it laying down so got up and went to the loo which did get rid but I could still feel where it had been when I laid back down. All gone now but scary!

ChatEnOeuf · 22/01/2015 07:19

Ooh, brilliant Purple!

Rpopz, DD didn't sleep anywhere but on my chest for the first few weeks rest of her life so far but it does get better :)

La I use a stretch wrap until they get fat (lasted 5m with DD) then a soft structured (Beco Gemini but there's loads to choose from). We also have a Little Life explorer (or something) for Big Walks...bit of a carrying addict necessity

Splodge I get this too sometimes. Crisps help.

LaLa5 · 22/01/2015 07:26

Dulcet I get those when I roll on my front too Smile

Have you guys seen the curtain post? It's fantastic! Just spent 20 minutes of my life thoroughly entertained

Still bit unnerved here as I don't feel pregnant. Roll on tues mw appointment with Doppler

Morning viroids!

Yay purple excellent news!

dulcet I still get those and I have no idea why! I'm guessing its just things moving quickly so causing a cramp?

DP is refusing to dtd because of the wriggling moving basket ball between us and its driving me a bit insane. It's a craving and I'm really taking it personally!

TheBooMonster · 22/01/2015 07:53

I was getting cramps till I ate a dip dish full of salt and vinegar like a damned freak they're awful!

Off to the hospital for the first growth scan. Trying not to panic but can't quite control myself. Sorted out all the clothes I wanted if they trap me in the hospital even though they've said twice they won't induce me as a result of this scan.

DulcetMoans · 22/01/2015 08:17

Just seen the curtain one la. I only read the OP so far but I can see where this will go! I rarely open my curtains in the living room (back of house) as sun reflects off the telly - what's that got to do with my neighbours?! (I realise I should post this there...)

Good luck at hospital today boo, hopefully some good news for you and no over night!

chat / splodge - crisps always help!

Is he suggesting abstaining until the end then lauren?!

Thanks for the cramp reassurance. Was just so strong and taken by surprise.i see midwife today so will mention.

minimooo · 22/01/2015 08:52

Just caught up with thread...

Huge congrats wil! x

Sorry to hear about the hospital adventures zyla, sounds like you've had a stressful time.

dulcet I've had a few really sharp cramps while turning in bed too (also had a really scary one when swimming the other day), but I think they're just growing stretchy pains technical term Smile

lauren wedding planning sounds like it's going great - I love the vintage ice cream idea!
Re: dtd, not sure i can be much help - my dh is freaked out by my moving bump too (hates it touching him when we're jsing) but now I've gone weird about it too! I find it completely off-putting when baby wriggles around when we're dtding! I have a feeling this might be it now for us until after the birth... We'll see how it goes. Just seems like such a long time to wait!

Hope the scan goes well boo!

la I remember feeling quite unpregnant at that stage - don't worry, it'll change quickly in the next few weeks as you start to feel movement and your bump gets bigger! Hearing the heartbeat at the midwife appt is wonderful - enjoy!

LaLa5 · 22/01/2015 08:53

It's the fact that she thinks they are lazy and should be educated in curtain etiquette Grin I just love the weirdness of AIBU!

Good luck today boo! Why would they induce you?

I feel amazing today except I have severe arse rain. It's threatening to erupt at any minute...

minimooo · 22/01/2015 08:56

Oh, I forgot to ask a completely unrelated question: anyone ever used a laundry ecoegg? Am thinking of getting one but am a bit dubious. Main reason I'm thinking about it is to wash reusable nappies (less build-up of detergent apparently) but would like to wash all laundry with it if it's effective.

KatoPotato · 22/01/2015 09:01

Morning guys!

I spent last night on YouTube, watching videos for everything! Cath believe the leap in gadgets in just five years since DS! I would say that if space isn't your concern then a bed nest looks far better, and you can rent them for 6months?

This video swung it for me!

laurenamium · 22/01/2015 09:03

Good luck today boo

Yes I think he does intend on abstaining Shock it is only 12 weeks until my latest induction date I suppose. I'm sure he will give in before then Grin

mountaingirl01 · 22/01/2015 09:17

Viroids where is aibu?

KatoPotato · 22/01/2015 09:24

cath? Can't!

laurenamium · 22/01/2015 10:18

Mountain I think it's in other stuff right at the bottom

TheBooMonster · 22/01/2015 11:39

scan went well, 'normal' sized baby, now to hold my breathe until 32 week scan!

mini I've heard good things about eco eggs but not used them myself, used soapnuts for a while on the reusable nappies but without pretreating they didn't always have the shifting power than fairy has.

TheBooMonster · 22/01/2015 11:40
