Evening all!

Good luck for Monday jack, hope all goes well for you Smile

sophs, good luck for induction tomorrow and let us know how you get on! Smile

giant I really hope it happens for you soon, and for the rest of us! I'm kinda aiming for next Thursday/Friday - haha wish it was that easy! I'll be 39 weeks then and the beginning of a weekend would be good so DP has that little extra time off with us. He's only having a working week off Sad

The hoovering needs doing and I have a sink full of washing up so I'm hoping that will be enough to bring on labour for me tonight ....sods law and all that! Plus DP has gone out for the evening Grin

Grinningcat · 24/01/2015 21:06

Had my antenatal class too today, but it was a whole day thing where we covered everything. My DH was really proud that he was the only chap who knew what colostrum was Grin.

longbottom · 24/01/2015 21:08

Little I've been achey and think I'm getting braxton hicks for the first time!
I really wouldn't mind if the baby came now 35 weeks!

Minichuch · 24/01/2015 21:40

long I'm 35 weeks also but had no bh yet

Super sore coccyx day three is doing my tree in now - hopefully it'll bugger off and not stay for next 5 weeks otherwise I'm gonna go mental - how those who have had prolonged pgp I take my hat off to you I really don't know how you've managed it

Bangonthedoor · 24/01/2015 22:05

Because of this nasty cold I'm kind of hoping maybe if I blow my nose hard enough, my waters might pop?! Grin

longbottom · 24/01/2015 22:11

I've never had them before, not this pregnancy or with DD.
How slow are these last 5 weeks going to go mini?! I feel like the rest of the pregnancy has gone fast.
I like your thinking bang!

freneticfox · 24/01/2015 22:21

So I have another TMI question.. Is excessive gas normal at this point? I mean all day it's been almost ridiculous. I don't get embarrassed around DH at all, but I'm starting to feel a bit self conscious it's so bad!

Bangonthedoor · 24/01/2015 22:23

God completely normal frenetic I normally have quite a lot of gas anyway but definitely can't control it these days, just comes out wherever I am!

donkir · 24/01/2015 22:26

Frenetic I'm also really windy. Made oh eyes water earlier bless him. Every time I stand up or sit down one escapes.
Good luck to all those with inductions and c secs coming up.
I've decided lo can come next Friday gives me time to enjoy at least a few days rest after finishing work on Monday plus get hair, nails and eyebrows done.
Productive day here, had a major clear out of stuff we're not taking when we move and sold most of it today. Although didn't get around to do the washing up!

freneticfox · 24/01/2015 22:27

So glad it's expected, poor DH thinks I've been secretly guzzling Beans or something! Spose everything is just getting more and more squished!

At least this is a funny symptom, even the cats are looking startled..

Memphisbelly · 24/01/2015 22:36

oh yes to gas but after birth they gave me a suppository for pain in stitches and my god dh actually queried if she actually put a dead rat up there......I smelt of actually doom even the baby gagged

Bangonthedoor · 24/01/2015 22:43

Haha I'm sorry to laugh memphis Grin but I remember that with DD and I found it gave me SO much more wind than normal

mildatheart · 24/01/2015 22:47

Pregnancy has been one long gas factory from the huge bloats and stinky trumps of First trimester to the hope I don't wee myself if one slips out third trimester. I swear that at least 1 stone of this baby weight is wind c

freneticfox · 24/01/2015 23:15

I want to labour in water, that should muffle SOME of the noise and smell, right?!

Memphis, that gave me the giggles!

Memphisbelly · 25/01/2015 05:57

frenetic have you never farted in the bath? the smell is like bubbles of concentrated fartGrin what a beautiful gift to your dh strong farts, poop net and obv a baby! Grin

my belly has gone down loads confirming it was all baby and wind!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 25/01/2015 08:54

Haha yes on the gas here too especially sitting on the toilet it sounds like it's about the take off!!
I never used to do it in front of OH, pregnancy is so sexy! Smile

Grinningcat · 25/01/2015 09:36

Also pretty gassy here too! Just had the best night's sleep I've had for ages. Managed 6.5 hours in a whole unbroken chunk. Bliss.

thingsarelookingup · 25/01/2015 09:39

Good luck for tomorrow soph and jack. I can't believe how many babies are being born already. For those of you with late Feb due dates we will still be here with you until the end.

Mild that sounds awful. Don't feel bad for resting up. I constantly feel like I should be on the go but sometimes just need to give myself a break and remember that being this pregnant is a job in itself. And I've already warned DH that if I get so much as a cold I'll be stopping work early (I have 2 weeks to go) because I know I won't cope otherwise.

Good point about the food memphis. The only thing stocked in my hospital bag so far is snacks!

Can someone remind me is it arnica tablets that I should take to help recovery from CS? I could scroll back through the thread but it is long and I am lazy. DH is off work next week and I'm sending him out to stock up on all the things I still need. Good thing he's not embarrassed about buying maternity pads and breast pads etc. I did order them on the online shop but they apparently had no breast pads at all and gave me super slim maternity pads. I'm thinking super slim won't cut it on day 1 even after a section.

thingsarelookingup · 25/01/2015 09:45

Ahh that sounds like bliss sunshine. I too had a great sleep last night since DS is at his grandparents and I didn't get my usual 5am wake up. Twas lovely.

Frenetic have to agree farts are just concentrated by water. They are even worse in the shower although I have no idea why.

longbottom · 25/01/2015 09:54

Another one full of gas here, they also smell like dead rat, has made my eyes water a few times!
I slept ok, prob about 6 hours straight! Smile
My friends that have had c-sections have said they hardly bleed after so you may not need the mattress type pads!

BanglesSpangles · 25/01/2015 10:09

Morning all
To add to the fart talk, i can report that im usually ridiculosly airy, but its ramped up in the last few weeks to the point that it feels like theyre coming out at gale force! Not so much the quantity thats changed, its just so loud!!

Off to try and move some of the crap out of the back bedroom- its full of tools and other stuff from our last round of decorating and getting hard to get in the door there now!

OP posts:
donkir · 25/01/2015 10:17

Things yes it is arnica in tablet form you'll need.
Slept ok last night but already feel like I need to go back and have a nap. I think it's worse as I have nothing to keep me occupied (other than cleaning) as oh is working and ds with his dad for the weekend.

Memphisbelly · 25/01/2015 11:14

Things yes its arnica tablets you need as you cannot put cream on wounds. Plus the tablets help from the inside. i also agree with section I don't think you bleed as much my friend didn't anyway.

So I am a few days after having ds my boobs are very painful when in bed as they are so full but nurofen is really helping and thr not touching them, measured them and they are measuring a J cup ShockConfused, hopeful that by tuesday they will be deflating again.
Bleeding really hasn't been too bad and I am on normal (but bought long) pads now. Bruising is almost all gone (thank you arnica) just the stitches that are sore now but no feeling of bruising, going to get witch hazel gel to put on pad as I have read putting it on pad is cooling on stitches.
Bought some cussions new mum bath soak with arnica in and lying in it for 15 mins with legs open is so soothing, obviously they tell you to let wounds air but as you need a pad its almost impossible.
Sorry for long post hoping by adding my recovery and things we are doing may help one of you.

Minichuch · 25/01/2015 11:49

memphis I know have a list of items that you keep suggesting - as a ftm please can everyone keep suggesting things post birth

Minichuch · 25/01/2015 11:49

Now not know doh!
