Just jumping on this thread. I hadn't beforehand because it still felt so surreal and I haven't really had any symptoms other than slightly sore breasts...

Anyway, me: WestCountryLondonGirl, 32, #1 EDD 13th August

I have my booking appointment next week and DH is keen to come along. Is there much point or will he spend the entire time watching me fill in forms? I can't wait for my scan - hope it's not too long a wait!
9 weeks today!

There was only very little pink stuff in the morning when I wiped. However, then I had some more on my pad after I dropped off DS at nursery

Called the GP, they sorted a referral to EPU. Now I'm just waiting for a call from them. She said the scan could be over the weekend but didn't mention if I will get a call today, and I forgot to ask - any experiences??

West I would say it's pointless, it's mainly form filling, wee, blood sampe, weight, blood pressure, etc. They give you a bounty pack and some general info about what you should/shouldn't eat or do, but you can find the same on NHS website.

carrot, it might be fine. I've went to EPU this morning after a second lot of bleeding yesterday. Mine was bright red, but everything was ok on the scan.

I hope beyond hoping but can't keep thinking it's going to be bad news

I don't even know if I have any pain or not, I'm just sitting overanalysing every twinge!

I'm just clinging to the hope that it's not bright red, and if I had cramps I would know...

Hi WestCountryLondonGirl my DH came to my booking appointment this week, I said I didn't mind either way but he said it made him feel more involved.

We are in the same position... #1, same age, same EDD!

carrot I have had brown discharge on and off since week 6, now week 10. Had 1 bright red bleed too. Have had 3 scans along the way and all is fine. It seems some of us do get this and for some it continues throughout for others it stops. I know how worrying it is but no pain is a good thing!!

I had nothing like this with DS. I did have a bit of red(!) spotting after sex but it didn't last and I knew it happens so wasn't worried. This time it's a whole new territory...

Anyone knows if I will need an anti D even if it's a small bleed? I'm Rh neg...

I keep getting that dripping feeling and running to the loo but so far nothing since this morning...

Hey girls :) I had my scan today and seen an itty bitty heartbeat! But they changed my dates to September 3rd :) feel relieved! I'm sill fluttering between August and September board :)

carrot the pains I had with my miscarriage were unmissable, really really sore cramps. I hope you get your EPU appointment soon.

I've felt sooooo sick today. Dd (10) broke her finger on Tuesday at after school club so we spent 3 hours in a&e. Today we spent 2 hours at the fracture clinic. She's fine, just a wee chip but the nausea made everything such a chore. I will sleep tonight-! Although I seem to lie awake at 3am every night too. Grrrr.
Roll on 2nd semester full of glowing, pretty bumps and delicious baby kicks!

Has anyone else been identified as high risk and under consultant care?
I have due to hypertension, kidney infections and strep B when I was pregnant with my DD. I can't help but feel a bit gutted as the MW led unit here looks amazing.

Yes Doodles I have, due to a partial placental abruption and emcs last time. I am relieved really as I know it means this baby and i will be well looked after. We tried for our local midwife led unit last time as it sounded so lovely so fully understand your disappointment x

I'm joint consultant and consultant at the moment due to my loop excision. It was pretty big. So I'm waiting for an appointment to see the consultant. The way I see it is they're just taking a bit more care

I've got a consultant's appointment, not sure if they'll keep me under consultant care though.

I'm High Risk too - DM had a DVT about 20,000 years ago (ok, maybe 20 but feels like forever ago) which makes me HR (despite no personal issues), as does the appalling HG last time, and the fact that I am over 35, oh, and my dad had type 1 diabetes which also makes me HR (again, no issues with that myself, my children, or in any previous pregnancy). But MW said that none of those should have any implications on delivery etc. And still hoping they've got their act together here by August so I can have a home birth.

Still no scan date, 10 + 5 ( I think) so really hoped to have had an appointment through by now....

Tried to chase up EPU this morning again but now it goes straight to voicemail

So then I called a GP, spoke to receptionist and he said he can see scan request but wasn't sure about referral so I'm waiting for a call back again!

Finally got a call, the scan is on Monday... Really hoped it would be over the weekend though, as I need to leave DS with someone... Oh well, at least I'll know what' going on.

Also got a letter for booking in appointment today - 23rd Jan. Incidentally I think my DP took a day off on that day so I won't have to take DS with me. That is if I there is still a point in me going...

I'm glad I'm not alone then! I have high blood pressure, so I understand why. I can't go on the pill or anything because my BP rockets. I also never have any symptoms with urine infections until it's in my kidneys and I'm then an in patient. So I see why they need to keep an eye on me, I'm just sad that means I have to go to hospital to give birth. My last experience wasn't great!

It's good you finally got through to them carrot how are you feeling now? Any further spotting?
To calm you a bit, when I had my MC it was a massive couple of cramps and heavy bleeding (brown turning to red, with tissue). Mine was 100% natural and within a day I had lost everything. A period type thing followed.

Yes, I'm still spotting, pretty much all day today, but still no pain and same colour so I hope it's a good sign. Sorry about your loss Doodles

CarrotPuff - i know the waiting is painful! I had brown spotting for a week and red blood one of the evenings as well. This was at about 5 weeks and I'm now 9 + 5 and had another scan today and all is progressing. Try not to worry and think positive thoughts!

My all day nausea seems to have stopped today. I don't like that, I want it to come back!

No idea when my dating scan is still but managed to move my midwife appointment forward by two weeks - otherwise I'd have been 13 weeks!

No way was I getting a scan in a week. I hope it hurries along, now I don't feel sick I need photo evidence again!

shantotto I can totally sympathise! Spend all my time moping about feeling sick then when I get a few hours of respite I feel great....but then start to panic that something is wrong because I don't feel sick! A photo would help but my scan is not for another three weeks. Trying to learn patience (not doing very well!)

I'm the opposite. My sickness has taken on a whole new level. I feel like I just need to throw up but I tend to choke when I'm sick so I panic.
