Ohhh turquoise I totally get you. Last time I stepped out around xmas time was NYE 2009 so 5 year ago, yet my aunt uses this to her advantage because I cant get a babysitter, she uses me as hers NYE so they can go out and I was always too polite to say no, however this year she asked and of course I said yes but my mum told her to ask someone else instead because it wasnt fair on me. OH mum will only ever have my eldest to stay and my mum and dads always at work.and I wouldnt trust anyone else to look after them so prior to pregnancy if I wanted to go out id have to just go out with friends as me n OH cant go out together.

Welcome Rachey - we are due date buddies along with tori and teacher - 4 of us on the back row of the bus now!

I have tried my very best to update the stats today with all of the Pink/blue updates and with a special first baby name insert for baby mark.... x x x

The stats can be updated by anyone on a laptop/pc....if you can't I'll try my best to keep upto date with all goings on now!!

I just had a family bucket of kfc with my boyfriend and watched Dawn of the planet of the apes. Rock and roll hah!!

We are watching Alan Carr's Spectacular with cheese and biscuits and a small glass of red wine! Kids are fast asleep and we will be too.....party animals that we are!!

Had our 20 week scan today, but little bean was in an awkward position so couldn't get all the measurements. Also it had its legs crossed in a yoga pose, so couldn't find out whether we are on team pink or blue!

Everything we could see seems ok though which is a huge relief. Going back in 10 days for further scanning... Anyone got any tips for moving LO around for next time??

Hi twinkle I had scan on the 4th and they couldn't get all measurements either! I've had to wait ages but back on the 5th when I'll be nearly 24w. I've been told to drink lucazade before scan to try and get baby active.....not sure if it will work!!

Happy almost new year to you all. Having a becks blue in front of the telly, and DH felt the baby kick for the first time this evening so it's been very lovely indeed!

Kitiker - I use reusables with dd. I actually can't fault eBay cheapies. We've used them since she was about 6 months as we had to wait until she was big enough to fit in them haha.
We use 2 inserts and get an average of 3-4 hours from each. Whichever type of nappy you go for get some flushable liners! They make dirty nappies lots easier you can just tip it all into the toilet and flush. I don't know how people who don't use flushable liners do it.

We had a crazy nye - not. I was tucked up in bed by 9pm and dp was watching Indiana Jones that he recorded while finishing off the mulled wine. Dd was fast asleep in bed by 8pm too.

My spd is really hurting now and seems much worse first thing in the morning. I just can't get comfortable in bed or anywhere. The next 18 weeks need to go quicker haha x

Yes to sore boobs and tiredness being back, I'm glad it's not just me.

We are starting operation 'big boy's bed' here. Which includes moving from the small bedroom to big bedroom. He's only just started sleeping recently so I'm praying it doesn't ruin everything!!

I just about made it to midnight, I fell asleep very shortly afterwards.

We have MIL and SIL here, I'm still not up, I can currently hear DP lecturing SIL about the best way to give up chocolate whilst at the same time trying to sort 3 kids out. I think I'll stay here a while longer until they've all been fed and it's a bit calmer down there.

He's already asked me if I want to go to the busiest local shopping centre ever today, it's terrible on a regular day but NYD? Like hell am I going in there with 3 kids, 4 adults and SPD.

My night included ice cream, pretzels and passion fruit sunny D lol, I was in bed for 11 but outside was crazy when midnight hit, people running upand down street screaming.

SPD is just starting up here but im so glad iI made it to half way through first because it was 14 week last time.

Very tired today, went out last night, and didn't get to bed/sleep until 12.40. Very late for me. oh well.

Happy new year ladies! DH and I had a nice evening in. We got a drive through Maccy-Ds and watched The Inbetweeners 2 and xmas through the keyhole - classy!
Made it to midnight and baby woke up for the fireworks, going absolutely crazy at the noise. DH was a star because despite the fact there was only two of us he sang Auld Lang Syne without me having to nag.

It's my birthday today and my family had insisted on coming down but I just woke up to a text from my mum to say she is poorly and doesn't want to risk passing anything on to the baby so none of them will be coming . We had also invited PIL so will now just us and them. Still need to clean the house and decide what to feed them as the local restaurant which proudly state they are open 7 days a week, including bank holidays does not apparently include New Years Day. Sigh. DH is still asleep so not a very exciting birthday so far...

Yep- also stayed awake the latest I ever have since being pregnant -just before 1am but I did have an afternoon snooze! Had a lovely dinner listening to a live 70s band but couldn't quite manage to get up for a shimmy! Kitlet was definitely awake at midnight a friend on the opposite side of the table even saw one of her kicks!

Still, despite staying up late, I still woke up fairly early...
