I have my 22 week appointment tomorrow. Can't remember what exactly they do at this one but hoping to hear baby's heart beat.
I weighed myself today and since my booking app. I've only put on around 6lb - not sure if this is normal!
How's everyone else doing in this area? x

Mine was supposed to be on the 9th but I changed it to the 12th so DH could attend - and now he still can't (we have no one to look after DD)!

I have no idea how much I've put on. I haven't weighed myself for a few years, I just go by my clothes now.

Lina I have out on 7lbs since before pregnancy. Not a huge amount by any means so no need to worry I'm sure!

So annoying about your appointment cuphat. Maybe you can record on your phone some of the scan?

Hi Lina, I was worried about this too as I hadn't put on any weight by 18 weeks. I'm now 21 weeks and have put on 4lbs in total. I was fairly slim beforehand so had expected to weigh more with my changing shape! Everything seems healthy and I'm eating plenty so I don't think it's a worry. Everybody seems to be completely different xx

I've put on 9lb but it's all bump & boobs! Was slim before pregnancy so expected to bulk up a bit!
I found the difference in baby boy between 12 & 20 week amazing! He was tapping his head and wiggling. So cute!

I've put on about 6lb since I fell pregnant which I'm just assuming is fine. Seeing midwife the week after our scan so maybe I'll get a weigh in then or maybe they'll want another blood sample. Early on in pregnancy they seemed a bit obsessed with the old blood tests!!

I have no idea how much I weigh or what I am now....I probably should lol!! I don't feel bigger yet apart from the bump!

I had my consultant appointment this morning. It went very well! I went in expecting a bit of a fight to get a c-section after reading threads on here (previous section due to breech baby) but when they asked how I wanted to give birth and I said a c-section they said that's absolutely fine, and I just need to book my section date at 36 weeks! They didn't even ask my reasons (though they'd looked at my notes). So I have an appointment on 1st May to choose my section date which will be at 39 weeks! I'm very relieved. My midwife had said there wouldn't be a problem getting a section and she was right. So baby will be born around the 22nd May (though I'll go for the 25th if I can as it's a Monday).

Hello all, just had my midwife appt but she couldn't hear the heart beat but she did feel it move away from the Doppler so she wasn't concerned

But she said she doesn't need to see me until 28 weeks. Is that common for 2nd pregnancies? X

It is normal for second pregnancies. I had a routine midwife appt at 16 weeks and my next is at 28 weeks.

It is in alot of places rachey. Round here subsequents are still same appointments as firsts for some reason x

Thanks cup and mum. I'm 18 +5 so this was my 16 week appt. it just felt like last time I saw the midwife a lot. I'm well chuffed have the same midwife as last time xx

rachey I saw mine at 16wks too and not seeing her again until 25wks she said that's the practice for second babies

Cuphat it feels weird to me that you have an appointment to discuss your ELCS on 1st when I'm having my ELCS on 1st! Less than four months! I've gained 7kg. I would be far happier if it were 7lbs but there we are. Am looking at another 20kg pregnancy it would seem!

That is a bit weird, bean! It's not even to discuss it as it's been agreed, they said I just need to bring my diary and pick the date! I'll also get to see baby on the 1st as I'm having a scan then too! Apparently it's routine here to check baby's position if you've had a previous section due to a breech baby (as there's a good chance the next baby will be breech too), even though it won't make a difference to me as I'm having a section anyway.

Fab news about getting the section cup. I was offered one at my dating scan and it was presumed that's what I'll be having. It was with the registrar though so I just agreed.
I have my consultant appointment on Thursday where I'm going to have to fight for a vbac. It's the opposite of what most people do so I'm terrified she's going to say no and think I'm insane.
My midwife seems to think I am and my physio. I'm avoiding my neuro as I think he's going to veto it but if I can get the ob consultant on board maybe he'll be more pliable haha!
I just want to be in and out and home to dd and dp asap.
I have got my midwife to agree that I'm a great candidate for a 24 elcs discharge but because I don't see they kept me last time to observe how I cared for a baby. I'm hoping this time if I have to take the elcs they'll not need to observe as I'm successfully caring for a 20 month old.
Anyone have any plans for the weekend?
We bought a big bundle of 2nd hand boy clothes so I'm going to be washing and storing those. We got a second Moses basket too (Im too lazy to carry it up and down the stairs so have one in both places) and it's so cute.
I've got my eye on a fab double pram on eBay too. It's a tandem with car seat adapters and a carrycot as well as toddler seats and can be a single when Dd gives up using it. I'm hoping to get it for less than £100 fingers crossed!

Thanks Fluffeh. Good luck for your appointment, I hope you get your vbac. I was worried I wouldn't get a section, but there were a few factors that meant I would more than likely have ended up with an EMCS anyway if I'd tried for a vbac; the consultant had looked at my previous notes so would have known this.

The consultant told me I can have a 24hr discharge after the elcs as it's my second baby, which I'm very happy with. I was discharged after one and a half days last time but that was still too long for me!

Weight wise ive gained 6ibs and all of that has been in the last 5 weeks lol. My bmi was 18.5 at booking. Gains have been totally different each time so not worried really. 4st with first, 5ib with second and 1st 5 with 3rd
