New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

Ok I should be working but I just tried it and it was really spooky because the ring was swinging round and round at first and then when I held it over my bump it started going back and forth! a boy then.

Jaysecond · 12/10/2006 10:54

i cant find any string....

zombiebridepenny · 12/10/2006 10:59

BTW has anyone had tinitus since they have been pregnant?
I read its down to extra fuild pressure, mine stared and went away after 2 days.

Jaysecond · 12/10/2006 11:09

No tinitus here, but out of puff really bad when i go up the stairs, or is that due to my 'extra bits of Mum' !!!

zombiebridepenny · 12/10/2006 11:13

That sounds like the bump telling you to invest in a stairlift. Mines not too happy because I only had a tiny breakfast before getting up and dashing about. It makes me breathless and my nose starts running. Feel like crawling back to bed.

Rosyspookily · 12/10/2006 11:24

ooh I could easily crawl back into bed. And I'm still in my jammies so am already ready! minor problem of two little rascals running about trashing the place though....

divastrop · 12/10/2006 12:21

congrats thankyoupoppet

wow , where has everyone been today, or have you all been abducted by aliens and left me on my own??????

evenhope · 12/10/2006 17:20

I thought we were supposed to bloom in the second trimester? I'm so tired I'm falling asleep at 9pm then I'm waking up 2-3 times every night for a wee. I'm obviously having a growth spurt because i've had to go out for new bras and the old norks are hurting again like they did a few weeks ago. Hmm.

Do seem to have stopped being sick though, so that's got to be good.

Anyone else struggling for something to wear? My one pair of maternity trousers slide down over the bump, and so do my normal trousers.

Jaykillandhide · 12/10/2006 17:25

evenhope.....yay there is life out there! I am having probs with clothes, only in as much as i dont have any. I still have some mat clothes from b4 but they feel so old and tatty, my normal clothes that i was JUST gwtting into when i fell pregnat are no longer needed, so its back to two faithfull skirts that i wore at start of last pregnancy and three tops which i am rotating, i really do need to get me some more!
Mboobs are sore also, mind you i never got that at the beginning of pregnancy, but the past week my nips are like bullets and i cant bear to have any thing brush over them....

I want to post about my job and the complications that go with it, i fear if i do it here it will be, a) boring for everyone else b)will take over the thread. Anyone got any idea where might be the best place to post?

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 12/10/2006 17:29

Post away, jaykill, you're amongst friends here!

RabidZombieAmie · 12/10/2006 17:41

I'm still luckily fitting into pre diet clothes but have needed to purchase some comfy pants and two maternity bras. My nipples have been nothing but evil to me since i found out I was Pregnant...

Have my cousins wedding next weekend, am struggling for anything suitable to wear to that so will be scurry5ng round the shops this weekend no doubt.

Was my Gran's funeral today, my first experience of one. Was a moving service.

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 12/10/2006 17:42

Amie Hope you are feeling okay?? You will get lots of support on here if you are feeling glum.

spongecake · 12/10/2006 17:44

me too...am having nightmare finding trousers/ skirt for bottom half- why do maternity shops think pleats are cool for pregnant women? i mean, even skinny people look fat in pleats (my view!) or calf length.. so not a good look back at work at the axis of evil on monday, so thanks for reading my email rage..

zombiebridepenny · 12/10/2006 17:56

If you can get H&M mama range then thats the one! My DP kindly went and bought me a few bits while away at work this week.
The tops are great really Flattering , I even felt somewhere near good in them, and they are around a tenner each!
Just looked and there is a H&M website but I can't see if you can buy online cos I don't have flash at the mo.
Anyhow I have five, some plain and a couple Jazzy for evenings out etc, sure they will see me through next 5 months.....OMG 5 MONTHS!

evenhope · 12/10/2006 17:58

I tried to get maternity bras. Mothercare stupidly only go up to E fitting. M&S have a maternity range but on trying them, they offer "gentle support" while I need industrial scaffolding. They are also designed like sports bras so that the middle bit of the bra doesn't touch your skin like it's supposed to. very uncomfortable. I know underwire is frowned on but tough, I need the support.

RabidZombieAmie · 12/10/2006 18:01

Thanks Annie.

hmmm.... a trip to Birmingham may be in order then! nice big H&M there, not one in my local town.

MS came to visit today, how weird after so long without?

TheBlonde · 12/10/2006 18:01

evenhope - what you need is the Triumph Doreen or a Shock Absorber

kittythescarygoblin · 12/10/2006 18:18

I've still got no boobs, but I've got 2 fried eggs instead

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 12/10/2006 18:25

Evenhope _ I've got two 38G maternity bras from Mothercare!!

Aime - poor you

I'd quite like to post about my job too, here goes:

I'm just finding it realy difficult physically to get up and get the kids out in the morning, then do a full days work. I get up at 6am, leave at 7.30am. Mentally, I'm just so emotional, the smallest thing just tips me over and Ifeel like crying or going into a rage. I'm getting very stressed out at work over tiny things. I was sitting in Queen Charlotes on Monday and there was a poster which said: "are you feeling down, isolated, like you can't cope etc" My answer to all was yes.

I should be happy being PG, but am worried about money (after Tax Credits over payments letter) and just feeling very negative about everything. Usually I'm really positive and happy with my lot and never worry about money and stuff like that. Plus I can't concentrate on reading anything (apart from MN of course)

I sailed through the previous PGcy. What's happening to me this time???? Anyone else feel like this?

Sorry to be such a miserable bag ....

LunarSea · 12/10/2006 18:30

Amie - H&M in Coventry or Solihull too.

Fox, poor you and yes to all the below listed. Have you had a period of time to sit and think it all over and worry yourself?
reminds me of the time as a student I was advised to sit down and work out my finaces before my final year because I was struggling. Oh lord I cried my eyes out when I saw it all on paper, But I had a great year even so.
The moral of my wise story is everything will work out fine, don't worry you've had a bad day! Not suprising with your daily work load you must be knackered!
