New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
morocco · 11/10/2006 18:09

well maybe I will just alter the date then in my notes but it will mean working even longer!!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 11/10/2006 18:15

Onilly - you poor thing. I was worrying about you this morning actually - i.e. worrying whether Mr nutter had called again. Amazing he left messages ??

I am feeling so over-emotional at the moment its terrible. Feel like a complete wreck and the smallest thing makes me feel like shouting "aaarrgh - I cannot cope anymore!!!"

Hi everyone else - can't get my bonce round MATB1's today

Rosyspookily · 11/10/2006 19:10

Glad I'm not working so don't have to give a fart about all those complex changes or try and get my shrunken brain around it!!

Now I'm having an inferiority complex about my halloween name compared to you crazy tribe! I might have to take some hallucinagenic mushrooms and think me up a madder one!

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 11/10/2006 19:16

Fox, you and me both. I think we must be on the same cycle ! The nutter, slightly reduced boil on face and ongoing building site in my house due to slack builders has only made it worse. I felt like crying when I walked through the door tonight! You should have seen the mess they left I dont think the rain helped.

I had a really crappy day today at work as well. I fired a guy for sexual harrassment. I have a hunch he may be behind the calls.... no proof just hunch. DH is on a mission, so will leave him to it.

I am also in Italy for the rest of the week and need it like a hole in the head.... bloody bag will get lost again and I will truly end up murdering someone (remember Madrid??!)

Fox, Sorry you are in a bad way, I can only send a virtual hug and prescribe an early night, small glass of wine / hot choccy and book.

Aimie - CONGRATS on IL's you did good girl - any tips ?

Essex folks, my MIL is in Wivehoe ? Its pretty.

Whoo also wanted to say, well done on getting out of your 'discussion' with such dignity!

Off to pack, cook and clean up after bloody builders. Phone is off the hook.

divastrop · 11/10/2006 19:55

onilly-is ur dh going to the police about it?cos it sounds pretty serious if they r leaving msgs.
i didnt think ppl still made dodgey calls in this day and age, they can be traced so easily.saying that i got a few dodgey calls on my moblile a couple of months ago, though i had my suspicions about who wasa behind them.

rosy-im glad im not working also.it sounds too complicated for me.

pennygaff · 11/10/2006 20:46

Thats not fair! been looking again at your names and I see you have all gone Halloween inspired...right thats it I want to change mine.

Jaysecond · 11/10/2006 20:53

i just cant believe how many new posts there are....i didnt even know there was a new thread...i checked in at the old one and saw noone had posted for AGES...thought this just cant be right , ( i know how you lot gas) and had to go searching! Found you though!

I have been racking my brains to come up with a halloween nick, but i cant think of anything at all, at leat nothing thats any good, anyone want to come up with something for me then please feel free!

I called the hospital today to find out about my scan, they inform me that its on Monday afternoon, and ' hav'nt i got the letter?' well no of course i hav'nt or else why would i be calling, DOH! still at least i have it now. We will be finding out the sex also, so i cant wait. I dont mind either way what i will have its just i HAVE to know! Anyone else want to find out?

zombiebridepenny · 11/10/2006 20:53

WoooWooooo hows it going?

zombiebridepenny · 11/10/2006 20:57

HI Jaysecond, think I saw mines willy, sonographer said she saw it too but since then everyone has doubted it so now I don't know what to think,...really looking forward to 20wk scan.
How about Jaysecondhead ?

thankyoupoppet · 11/10/2006 21:00

yoooo-hooooo!!

hello ladies,
As promised I have come with news....
Was with you lot at the very beginning but had to duck out as it was not meant to be...
(you might remember me; I was planning to not tell DH for the early days because he is a worrier...)

well I can happily report that I will be joining the due-in-May thread as I have made it as far as 9 weeks and can't hold off any longer!

Bit jealous that you will get your babies a whole TWO months before me though.

Will be watching you all when you all start popping in the spring
GOOD LUCK ALL!!

kittythescarygoblin · 11/10/2006 21:09

Well done thankyoupoppet!! That didn't take you long

It feels a bit strange posting on other threads with my haloween name, a bit like gong round in public with a fancy dress costume on !!

Jay, I'm going to find out. I really admire those who can hold off. I like to have names sorted, clothes ready and I feel I can bond better when I know the sex.

17 wks today,
God I'm always so lagging behind most of you. It's been the pattern of my life that I've never been in the group I was supposed to go in. I think with my first antenatal groups all the other women were in July and I was early august, but the midwives decided not to put me in with the August group. It's served me well though and I've always been glad to be where I've ended up even though it's not where I was supposed to be

Jaysecond · 11/10/2006 21:29

CONGRATULATIONS thankyoupoppet, keeping fingers crossed for you, truely amazing when it can happen so quickly like that, you both must be thrilled!!

lol zombiebridepenny, when i saw my name i read 'jaysecondhand'.....lol thats quite funny! Its a oontender ( seeing as i have feck all else at the mo) am going to ask DH when he gets back tomorrow, hes comes up with stupid names all the time for DD so i reckon he might have something in the bag!

Kittythescarygoblin, i am the same as you, with DD i really thought it was going to be a boy and if i am honest when i had the scan and found out it wasnt, i was a tad disapointed, i cant imagine how i would of felt if i had thought that for the full 9 mths. I can understand people not wanting to find out, i think its a very personal choice, my SIL is 6 wks ahead of me and her and my brother have decided not to find out.

18+5

eidsvold · 11/10/2006 22:10

kitty I am behind you - only 16 weeks tomorrow

kittythescarygoblin · 11/10/2006 22:16

Eidsvold
Are you a slow cooker or microwave?

eidsvold · 11/10/2006 22:23

ha ha - nah jsut due last day of March rather than the start although having said that - dd2 was ten days late elective c-section and still showing no signs of coming out - had not even dropped!!

Rosyspookily · 11/10/2006 22:37

Thankyoupoppit well conceived!

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 12/10/2006 08:56

Congratulations thankyoupoppet! Thrilled for you.

zombiebridepenny (like that name), I'm much better thanks. Rested all day yesterday to make sure I didn't throw up. (Nice).

I had fantastic news this morning. My BF gave birth to little Charlotte at 12:40 this morning - 7lbs 15oz.

I know she was secretly hoping for a girl (they've got a lovely little boy), so am over the moon.

Are you around Dolly? Wondered if we could take a rain-check on this afternoon? I really want to go and see my friend!

I'll check later, and if you haven't posted, obviously I'll still be there!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 12/10/2006 09:07

Jaysecond - I LOL at jaysecondhead

how about jaythevampireslayer?

Thankyoupoppet - congrats - that's such good news Hopw are you feeling at 9 weeks?

I found out the gender of DS and DD, and intend to with this one too, but when I had my "viability scan" on Monday, really did not want to know. Just didn't feel ready. Somehow this PGcy feels almost virtual rather than real. Anomoly scan is due on 20th, so not sure what we'll do about finding out . I know DH wants to find out though...

thankyoupoppet · 12/10/2006 09:18

Hi fox, feeling far sicker than previous 2 pregs, didn't have any nausea untill about twelve weeks last time and it only lasted a few weeks -this time it started at about 6 weeks and is horrid, but it makes it feel like it all working which is reassuring.

(am secretly hoping I might have a girl this time to go with my two smelly boys!)

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 12/10/2006 09:23

Thankyoupoppet - I'm secretely hoping for a girl too, but feel really guilty about having a preference (have one of each so far)

Glad you are feeling nice and sick - its a good sign

flannelettepyjamas · 12/10/2006 10:31

After being rather disapproving about people who expressed a gender preference last time, I am myself this time rather (and very secretly) hoping for a girl also . Mostly cos I am very close to my sister who is 2 years younger than me and I would like that for DD also. Of course, I know you can't make them be best friends.
16/40

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 12/10/2006 10:37

I have 3dds, and I'm really having odd thoughts about how I'll feel if this is a boy. I like having all girls, but feel so wicked for even thinking that!

Well, it's too late now, and as this one most definitely wasn't expected whatever I get is a bonus.

thankyoupoppet, sickness shows you are high in hormones, great sign!

Rosyspookily · 12/10/2006 10:37

yeah I have two brill sisters so I would like a sister for dd. But on the other hand my two boys are easier than my girl so I am wondering if girls are more trouble!!

Method for divining what sex baby is.... take a meaningful ring, tie it on a thread. Get a friend to hold it over your bump. If it swings back and forth its a boy and if it swings round and round its a girl!!! Lets all do it and see if it works

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 12/10/2006 10:42

rosyspookylily, I did this with the dds...apparently I should have 3 dss!!

Rosyspookily · 12/10/2006 10:50

hee hee maybe its the other way round then. That'll definately work then!
