New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

OP posts:

Great day then Diva ?????

divastrop · 05/11/2006 21:01

just a normal sunday really.sorry for the rant

Rosybumpily · 05/11/2006 21:05

Divayour birthday is the same as mine isn't it? We are both sensitive fishies! The full moon must be playing havoc.
And hey look, you helped me get my sense of humour back about life!

divastrop · 05/11/2006 22:00

i was thinking that when i read your thing on caths thread as your taste in men sounds similar to mine

cath29 · 05/11/2006 22:30

took dd to a firework display tonight and she was so scared at the beginning she started crying! bless.. she cheered up after a bit though. think it was a bit loud for her sensitive ears maybe

thanx to you ladies who posted on my (really heavy!) thread in lone parents, much good advice and it's nice to hear other people's stories too

foxie i was just having a really bad day the other day and throwing a bit of a tantrum it's good i did though, kind of broke the ice! guess that's one way to make an entrance.. i'm totally with you on the tiredness. i'm basically exhausted, though it does vary from day to day; some days i just wake up exhausted and then i know that it's going to be a struggle.. god knows what i'll be like at 8 months, moaning about it incessantly no doubt

full moon is definitely wreaking havoc today, this week 5 planets are in scorpio (my sign) it's meant to mean that everything comes to crisis point.. you've been warned

thanks again for all your posts on the other thread it means a lot to know that people do care and from an external point of view, people think i'm coping ok, sometimes i wonder!!

cath29 · 05/11/2006 22:44

if you haven't yet, would you mind posting your stats on the new thread i started the other day, 'march 07 details/stats', just so i can try and get my head round who people are! it helps!(age / state of marriage is wholly optional! )

spinningkittywheel · 05/11/2006 22:50

Glad you're sounding stronger Cath

cath29 · 05/11/2006 22:54

thanx kitty i had a nice evening with dd, it helps..

guyfoxie · 06/11/2006 06:51

Cath - we'd better not put the state of our marriages! Mine would be "complete inertia"! LOL

Diva/Cath - are you both pisces then? DH is a pisces. I have this really funny book which slags off all the signs e.g. it calls Taurus "The Insensitive Bully" (just like my Dad, who is a Taurus ). Its really funny - its meant to be taken lightly. I'll try and dig it out for a laugh.

The babies born up to 21 March will be Pisces won't they? And those born after will be, er, help me out here! I can't remember what comes after pisces.

Those books always talk about how wonderful each sign is and this book takes the wotsit out of the signs

Cath, I think you are doing really well in your circumstances. You should be proud of the way you are getting on with stuff, despite how you feel inside.

Are we all returning to or original names now, or straight into festive Christmas names?

spinningkittywheel · 06/11/2006 07:20

aries foxie.I'm having one of those and I haven't a clue about them Infact i've never know one .
My mad mother is Aquarius /pisces cusp. I'm sure she's a pisces anomaly

divastrop · 06/11/2006 10:15

foxie-rosy and i share a birthday, and both have important bithdays next year if i remember rightly.well,i know im going to be 30.maybe they will let me have champange instead of g+a if im induced 2 weeks early.

21+5

Greengirlforever · 06/11/2006 10:49

Just a quick thread crash for Evenhope (we spoke a while back about dodgy test results !). I sometimes lurk on this thread to remind myself what I have to look forward to in a couple of weeks!

Evenhope (and any others of you due near end of month) I was chatting to my mw about the due in April thing and she says everyone is doing it (pushing their dates forward)! If you have a sympathetic mw (or scan person) give it a go, you are quite close already. BTW I'm also having a girl. I was told that sometimes when you carry a girl their hormones can go crazy and it's more likely to lead to "wonky" blood test results.

BTW I'm 17.4 (due April 12th ).

Rosybumpily · 06/11/2006 11:10

I'll be 40! That should mean I'm a sensible grown up adult who knows whats she's doing...I thought! But nope, still a dope.

divastrop · 06/11/2006 11:22

i dont think ive matured anymore since i was 14.i still have teenage strops and sulks.i was going to have one in the tax office but the woman was too polite and i ended up being the sensible one.

fatfox · 06/11/2006 12:03

Diva - I've just cancelled my Labour Party membership because of the Tax Credits debacle we're suffering. I'd been a member since 1991. I hate the Inland Revenue and Gordon Brown. All I can say is Feck 'Em with a capital F!!!

oooh, that feels much better

divastrop · 06/11/2006 12:34

i would love gordon brown+co to try spending a few months earning minimum wage or on benefits.dp has been told he owes over 2k from when he was with his ex(yet another letter with her fecking name on).
i dont know what the hell we are going to do.

i will shut up now.

i cant stop eating at the moment,i can feel my whole body getting fatter but i dont seem to be able to stop myself.

Booboobedoo · 06/11/2006 13:39

Hi everyone.

No hope for me getting the midwives to change my EDD - they'd have to shift them back by a month.

I don't mind really. I mean, of course it would be fantastic to get 9 months instead of six, but I'll have to go back to work in September anyway and having another negative pregnancy test might have sent me over the edge.

Baby's gone mad with the kicking in the last few days. It's quite an intense feeling, isn't it?

Saw distant relative yesterday - only really see them every couple of years.

They're nice, but very different to our family. This would be fine, except they're also quite judgmental, and don't really understand why anyone would think differently to them on any subject. So of course pregnancy comes up and...

Well, it's lucky I was feeling resiliant yesterday. just smiled sweetly and kept my lip firmly buttoned.

Hope everyone's well today.

EDD 3/3

Piffle · 06/11/2006 13:47

Afternoon
Ooooh scan tomorrow
No dice on finding out the gender, dp being BLOODY stubborn. Have stated again and again I think it's a boy so will eagle eyed watch the scan and hope to see "evidence" so to speak...
I have another scan at 32 wks that dp does not know about Naughty indeed.
Groan at having to endure 3 hrs of fireworks and bonfire on Saturday, kids loved it, it nearly rendered me immobile with the SPD. Took painkillers before going but by 9pm when we got home I was rigid with pain.
Anyway ok ish now.

LaidbackinAsia · 06/11/2006 14:16

Hello... Piffle just find out and keep it a secret !! It has been quite fun doing this I have to admit. Hope your SPD doesn't get any worse.

Boo - families are such joyous things aren't they... I have a way of dealing with the factions in my family who have differeing opinions - ( which I often interpret as criticisms of me and mine !) ... I basically say " It's not me it's them " and let them get on with it.

My brother is staying in the same house as me at the moment and he has a rapid cycling mood disorder (cyclothymia) which makes him incredibly difficult. So have been working hard on myself not to get pulled in... " Its not me it's him !!! "

Has anyone ever read the book "they F**k you up" ? It's by a psychologist called Oliver James .. its worth a read !

Piffle · 06/11/2006 14:24

I wnt to know but dp is adamant that if I knew I could not possibly get through 20 more weeks without him knowing.
I am thinking of getting a card with B/G on it adn asking radiographer to cross it out as appropriate.

evenhope · 06/11/2006 16:48

GreenGirlForever, thanks for that I'm seeing the mw on Wednesday so I will ask her then. She can only say no. Had another scan today. Measurements were between 20.3 and 21 weeks for various bits, so it didn't help with the timing!

harktheheraldfoxessing · 06/11/2006 17:16

Piffle good luck with your scan

Diva - fat and broke, that sounds like me too!

I had a consultants appointment today but marched out in a strop after waiting 40 minutes to see him, as I had to collect my son at 3.45pm. Everyone who came in for 2.30pm and 3pm appointments was seen before me! (mine was at 2.30pm) Have just written an official complaint.

I thought Queen Charlottes were supposed to be excellent??? Their ante natal reception are a very poor shower!

Good thing is that baby is kicking

BooBoo - it feels like someone sort of rummaging around inside you doesn't it?

kittywits · 06/11/2006 18:25

Hello all, I've strated a thread in the parenting section because i managed to leave dd2 in the playground again and I feel shit. I feel even more shit because of the sanctimonious sour face old bint who pointed it out

morocco · 06/11/2006 18:30

well done for complaining fox - I just write those letters in my head.
ds2 was really upset by all the fireworks too, cath. The first thing he said this morning was 'have the fireworks stopped yet daddy?'. bless
I keep forgetting I'm pregnant which is funny as I am enormous but it's only when she kicks that I remember about her sometimes. life is busy.
glad everyone's scans are going well
I've started thinking about the birth and getting a bit worried - it will be my first birth in the UK and I don't know what to expect. Sometimes you read such terrible stories about the nhs. Also I keep trying to remind myself it might be another c section (ds1 was caesar but ds2 was 'normal' ) - someone yesterday was telling me that you only get paracetamol afterwards now

morocco · 06/11/2006 18:31

sorry - meant to add
edd 13 march, girl, already got 2 little boys
