Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 17th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I reckon one drink of Lucozade would be ok. Does it have caffeine?

ZylaB · 08/12/2014 18:59

fresh Grats on a good scan! :)

I'm going to have a chat with DH about nursery/childminding, although I'm def having a years mat leave. I know what he'll say though, that it's up to me if I want to go back or not, and I won't know how I feel until I've been a mummy for a while! (At the moment I don't think I want to work in such a stressful environment and miss out on the little one for not a lot of spare money after fees are paid!)

ZylaB · 08/12/2014 19:02

I treat myself with a diet coke juni! Each can is about 35mg of caffeine Nd nhs recommend less than 200mg so I figure it's ok! I switched tea to caffeine free, and drink the diet coke a max of twice a week so I'm not worried. I don't know if lucozade has caffeine in, it's far too sweet for me to be allowed it, but all the sugar etc may well help with sickness/exhaustion for rm?

TheBooMonster · 08/12/2014 19:08

I'm almost certain Lucozade is caffeine free, I've been drinking it now and then.

RPopz · 08/12/2014 19:12

No caffeine in Lucozade... just plenty ot sugar!

OP posts:
willywallace · 08/12/2014 19:21

Yeah I think it's just full of sugar, so shouldn't do any harm. Congratulations Fresh, lovely news.Envy

Definitely wait and see Zyla. Some people never want to go back to work whilst others are knocking the door down for a break from the baby routine.

willywallace · 08/12/2014 19:36

Sorry the green face was totally accidental!! Blush

JuniDD · 08/12/2014 19:50

Too much lucozade wil? Wink

Fleurchamp · 08/12/2014 19:54

I am currently thinking I will go back to work 3 days per week (if I can wangle it). My job is close to home, reasonably well paid and just, well, too convenient to give up.

If I gave it up I would struggle to get something so handy and close to home.

Indigoblue2 · 08/12/2014 19:55

Congrats fresh - ace news!!!

willywallace · 08/12/2014 20:01

I would actually love lucozade right now! I'm having ice cream instead.

In a totally unrelated topic - McBusted? Weren't McFly a relatively credible boyband at some point? Not quite sure why they've agreed to this. Apologies if this topic is too low-brow for this thread full of people who are scared they'll sneeze out a foetus.

lildottie · 08/12/2014 20:01

Nursery looks amazing zyla!! I know who I'll be coming to for tips when I start thinking about doing ours please note I will be talking about my unconceived child as if it is definitely going to become a child as I'm trying to embrace PMA in the hope my uterus will do what it needs to!

You guys are already preparing me for pregnancy, I'm sure I will be super paranoid from the day of embryo transfer!! Can I rely on you lot to keep me sane?

Congrats on all the scans!

ZylaB · 08/12/2014 20:20

lil I'd picked my pram before I got my bfp, so you're not alone. I hadn't ordered it, but I had picked it Grin

teejayem · 08/12/2014 20:21

Ah, congrats lauren lovely news!

zyla the nursery looks amazing! We are in the same quandry about going back to work. I have a long commute into London which costs just shy of £4k a year on a season ticket, and childcare would be £800+ a month. Add my contribution to the house, bills etc, and I would basically have £100 left over, which I don't think is going to incentivise me to rush back at all. Plus I I know from being involved at a distance in some of the flexible working meetings returning mat ladies have had, my company is not exactly flexible or that accommodating, and it almost doesn't seem worth the battle. I'm hoping to find something local or do some writing/web editing from home. It's so difficult.

la (and any other over-pooers) I have found that the moist andrex toilet tissues are very ahem, soothing, for too- much -pooing situations. I was getting sore Xmas Blush. while I'm on a tmi roll I've subsequently caved and started with the panty liners to try and deal with the litres of pant goo I seem to be producing. I thought I'd got out of buyig sanitary products for months yet!

fresh I am 14+ 4 with a due date the day before you! I have no idea how they guess calculate from measuring..

ZylaB · 08/12/2014 20:25

I know what you mean about it not seeming worth it tee

I could always do a bit of tutoring, or exam marking if I really felt the need to do something I suppose, we'll see though :)

JuniDD · 08/12/2014 20:39

Finally on computer - zyla the nursery is lovely, great work!

RPopz · 08/12/2014 20:41

Lol @ "over pooers" tee Grin

I'm not keen on lucozade. Vice of choice tonight is an apple turnover Blush

Great news from the scanees! Lauren is it your DD who insists she will have a brother called Rose or was that Chat?

Nurseries are quite a bit cheaper here than some of yours. Still expensive though! There is a new scheme coming in the autumn next year where the government contributes 20p towards childcare for every 80p the parents put into a fund. I really need to check whether we're better off with that or childcare vouchers before we no longer have a choice! I'm definitely going back or I have to repay all my enhanced mat pay Hmm whether I go back full time or part time really depends on whether I intend to get back on the JS bandwagon in the next couple of years or not. If I'm going to have #3 then it would be better to go back full time to get a better rate of mat pay.....

ChatEnOeuf · 08/12/2014 20:53

Lauren, Fresh - congrats on the happy scans!

Zyla we paid £40 a day (with a 5% NHS discount!) for 7:30-6pm. With negotiation I could occasionally drop her off 15 mins early and there was always someone on site until 6:30 if work got the better of my timekeeping. Half days were possible too, but to be honest I needed the space and quiet on the rare occasion I had an afternoon off.

Early pregnancy madness is par for the course I reckon

TheBooMonster · 08/12/2014 21:03

Viroids, there is a pink lining competition, thought I'd share it here if that's ok www.pinklining.com/uk/competition-12-days-of-christmas/ to win a stocking, and a matching changing bag, a bottle holder and purse, it's a pretty pennies worth!

willywallace · 08/12/2014 21:19

Is everyone just ignoring my McBusted question? I've just shown how monumentally uncool I am haven't I? Blush

I think we're maybe getting changes to childcare up here so we can have some free from a younger age still not going back to work though

TheBooMonster · 08/12/2014 21:45

lol wil round here Busted and McFly were referred to as 'McBusted' back when they were current, it wasn't a head turned when they came back (is it ten years later) and actually called themselves McBusted... :P

ChatEnOeuf · 08/12/2014 22:03

I really liked McFly and McBusted

willywallace · 08/12/2014 22:06

Thank you for humouring me Boo. I caught a glimpse of them on the beyond pish royal variety performance tonight and just found the whole thing a bit weird. Cos the Busted ones must be older but they perform like teenage boys and can't really sing. Whereas I thought McFly were reasonably well thought of back in the day (I'm too old to know though).

willywallace · 08/12/2014 22:07

God I have verbal diarrhoea. Is that a pg symptom?
