Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 17th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I'll be starting these classes in January Fleur which I found from googling Lazy Daisy. Not 100% sure it is the same thing but it seems to cover what I want.

Nessalina · 18/12/2014 10:23

Don't forget viroids, there is no point at which you have to be induced! It gets me really mad all of this 'they don't let you go over X days'. They are not the ones with the right to decide - at the end of the day an induction is a medical procedure that can be refused if you don't feel that it would be helpful for you and your baby.
The chances of stillbirth rise fractionally after 42 weeks, but if you know from your dates that 42 weeks is really 41 weeks, then just bear in mind you don't ever HAVE to have an induction. My NCT leader had a lady recently who refused induction - they just required her to go to MAU once a day after 42 weeks to monitor baby's heartbeat, and she popped at 42+2.

RPopz · 18/12/2014 10:25

Yes! Sorry fleur - they literally just changed their name this week. It is the Daisy Foundation now x

Was just going to say the same as Ness - if you're happy with your dates Min you can refuse the induction if she's happy enough in there x

Thanks ladies pisfhetti I have been looking at that too, might give it a go!

RPopz · 18/12/2014 10:34

I just did 12 weeks and really enjoyed it Smile Me and DH did the birth partner course too and he really engaged with it surprisingly. Recommend.

Urgh mrBoo is in the doghouse, and in imminent danger of finding himself sent to the pound!! Angry Last week I put his jogging bottoms in the wash and informed him as such because DD had used them as a snot rag. All this week his mum has been here ensuring I rest and preventing me from doing housework including laundry, she was unable to do the laundry because he had banned her from the bedroom as there were presents in there he couldn't be arsed to wrap muggins here ended up doing those He's just had a go at me for 'stealing' his jogging bottoms and not bothering to clean them... like he's completely forgotten that I've been mostly restrained on the sofa all week... to add insult to injury I went upstairs to get dressed and shower and guess who had put my only remaining pair of trousers in the washing machine and turned it on... I have sent him to the supermarket with the worlds longest shopping list whilst I calm down enough to not kill him before our friends arrive tonight grumble grumble

laurenamium · 18/12/2014 11:29

I want a daisy foundation near me Sad I really want to do it but the nearest one is over an hour away by car!

That's interesting about refusing induction. I was induced with DD and to be honest by the time they did it I just wanted her out! It is likely that they'll want to induce me for this one too because of the growth thing- they have already said I won't go over my due date. But again I think I will go with it rather than risk something going wrong with my placenta!

laurenamium · 18/12/2014 11:31

Shock Boo! I do all the laundry in my house apart from the ironing but I think if I had to have a week on the sofa I would be making DP do it! I hope he comes back with flowers and a sorry face!

willywallace · 18/12/2014 11:39

I also had to get induced in the end last time but will be avoiding it this time unless there are complications. Alot of people go really quickly once induced though Min bitter face

Why does it take so frigging long to get sample results back? It's been a whole day They had better phone me this afternoon and not wait a week like last time. My hypochondriac brain practically has me in labour.

ZylaB · 18/12/2014 11:54

lauren it's the same for me and my placenta. A doc told me when I first got gp I wont go over 38 weeks, a midwife told me yesterday no more than 39. Obviously I get checks and a say in this, but I know I'm more likely to have my placenta start to fail and higher chance then of stillborn, so I'd rather have her here!

I had my whooping cough vaccine yesterday and I feel terrible! I'm going nowhere today!

ZylaB · 18/12/2014 11:56

wil hope you find out soon, try not to stress too much (though I know it's hard!)

RPopz · 18/12/2014 12:24

Was it a wee test Wil? Hate to break it to you but they take a couple of days at least to culture it... Sad Try not to panic though, you'd surely have symptoms if you'd had a mega uti all this time.

I've heard some fairly positive induction birth stories recently. It doesn't have to be horrendous, if you're prepared for it I guess... Apparently the pessary is better than the drip though. Lets you build up to it more naturally.

Angry for you Boo ... Hopefully he has the foresight to bring you treats back!!

My whooping cough one really hurt Zyla ... the needle was massive! Shock

laurenamium · 18/12/2014 12:35

Ah Zyla is that because you are diabetic then? You take aspirin too don't you? It's good to have someone in a similar boat!

TheBooMonster · 18/12/2014 12:53

MrBoo brought back picky bits for lunch and an aunt Bessie's frozen crumble, this is the closest he will ever get to flowers >.>

laurenamium · 18/12/2014 13:09

Mmmm crumble Grin

ZylaB · 18/12/2014 13:20

Yeah lauren I'm being seen every 4 weeks at the moment but after 36 weeks it becomes more regular and we'll have to decide what to do with regards to delivery dates nearer the time, depending on how my placenta is and her size etc. bit of a shame, was hoping I'd know exactly when we'd get her here but never mind!

laurenamium · 18/12/2014 13:22

Ah yeah I would like an exact date too Grin how have you organised your maternity leave then Zyla? I'm going on maternity at 36 weeks and hoping it stays put until after then!

willywallace · 18/12/2014 13:34

Noooo popz, Shock she said this afternoon. I'll cry. I'm only stressing because they said I'd have to go to hospital if it was positive. And I don't want to be in hospital over Christmas. Sorry, feeling sorry for myself. Think I probably just need a good sleep.
