Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 17th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Oh my god pis I had the exact same: black and white tv with the knob for tuning in! I used to try and watch the horse racing when I was younger and found it difficult because I couldn't see the colours! Apart from that tv, I've never had a tv in my bedroom and I'd prefer our kids not to either. I like the idea of a 'den' where tv/games can be kept.

Agreeing with all the posts re: kids being given too much at Xmas. It's shocking how much some kids get Shock

Leela5 · 17/12/2014 09:24

We had a family TV with dodgy remote so we used a stick to change channel!

laurenamium · 17/12/2014 09:45

La you used to be a zoo keeper Shock that is a fantastic job! (On paper- I'm not sure cleaning out elephant poo etc actually is in real life)

I've just written a list of everything I need or think I need for this baby Shock it's a long list!

Fleurchamp · 17/12/2014 09:59

We are just the same. Until last year we didn't have a tv Blush I don't consider myself a hippie type, it's just we are both busy and didn't have much time to watch tv, we would use catch up on the iPad.

Even now, when we go out with friends we find ourselves outside of conversations as we have no idea what is going on in the latest series/ must have box set.

We are lucky though, our families are the same as us. Although it annoying when asking my niece what she wants for Christmas and she says "a surprise!", I have no idea what an 8 yr old girl could possibly want. We usually go for experiences- theatre, dance/ music lessons or a day out somewhere.

We are not materialistic at all.. We do have nice things but buy to last rather than getting the latest x,y or z. Our car is positively ancient but will need to be replaced next year as it is a 2 door which will make things tricky trying to get the baby seat in the back.

I hope we manage to carry this forward with our little one.

KatoPotato · 17/12/2014 10:01

I've just had two slices of white toast with lurpak and want a second round... AIBU?

I also had a Granada telly in my room for spectrum playing, and an extension lead that lead up the hall from the living room to watch TV (on a strict timescale) but my dad would unplug me if he was going to watch his mucky videos!

teejayem · 17/12/2014 10:04

so pleased everything's okay indigo - glue your bum to to the sofa!!

big non itchy squish for you and J Ness

Fx for some hot labour action min x

Girls, I need a tiny gentle hooya please. I'm at hosp tomorrow for Scan after Sunday's shenanigans, and I know that I shouldn't be worried because we heard hb, and I am only having tiny brown spotting now, and the Doctor said my chances of it going tits-up are incredibly small, but I have the most appalling scanxiety. I got into work and am now hiding in toilet trying to not freak out. :( I actually feel more terrified than I did during the initial bleed. I know I am being ridiculous. I know it's probably from too much sex, but I can't shake the fear off.

RPopz · 17/12/2014 10:11

Oh I've slept in and missed all the fun!!

Hope you're ok indigo xx

Poor J! Hope he gets sorted soon Ness x

Boo I think weirdly I felt worse for a bit in the late second trimester than I do now... All the stretching pains and achiness, I'd wake up everyday feeling like I got pregnant over night! Whereas now I'm massive, but its a bit more... static haha! Hope you feel better soon.

Argh Lauren how annoying... right before Xmas too. I'd be more than passive aggressive I think!

Any developments Min? Apart from the flip thread revelation?? Wink Grin

Good luck with the scan La - not that you need it Smile Exciting times!

Worth a bash at getting an earlier scan Dulce if you want to/ can be bothered.... but like the others said, you're well in the time window for the NT test so if not it'll be something to look forward to after the Christmas slump! x

I'm grumpy. Tired. Sore. And grumpy a bit more.

And there's no sodding chocolate in the freaking house. I'm half contemplating opening the 2 tins of biccies that I know are under the tree.

ness hope J's ok and not too itchy!

min I hope things get moving for you.

Had growth scan at 28+5 today, all looks good, head on smaller side, stomach and femur average so we're doing well! Everyone was happy with everything and I go back for the same again in 4 weeks! It's that sigh of relief :)

Leela5 · 17/12/2014 11:45

Tee I know it's very worrying but gentle hooyah, hope everything's ok.

Just saw my baby wiggling around. He/she is 3cm and right on track, she said nice strong heartbeat :)

Could see arms and legs and definite head this time

So pleased for you La.

Min you can also change the settings so that it always comes up with most recent posts first. Then you don't have to flip it at all.

Feeling sore and heavy today. When's bedtime? Sad

Fleurchamp · 17/12/2014 11:58

Great news la so pleased for you.

Nessalina · 17/12/2014 12:09

Yay! Glad scans went well La & Zyla!
Well lucky for me J finally dropped off and we got four hours sleep, so I'm not feeling too much like death Grin me and J just walked all the way to Morrisons and boots to get his prescription for antibiotic cream, so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself, and very much like I deserve the pot of Ben and Jerrys ice cream in the freezer Grin J is still very scabby but hoping that this cream will get it cleared up quickly for him. He's definitely trying to scratch but I've got the mitts on so he can't do too much damage, and he seems alright in himself so that's good Smile

DulcetMoans · 17/12/2014 12:24

Great news la and zyla - celebrations tonight I hope!

I knew about flipping but did not know about recent posts thing! Every day is a learning day! Thanks wil. Boo to feeling sore though.

Four hours doesn't sound like enough ness. I had a good 7 probably (except wee breaks) and that wasn't enough. Not sure I can cope!

Going against trend here to say I don't have a problem with TV in bedroom, from an appropriate age. Not for the tinys. I think it depends what you are used to. DH works in media, telly is a big part of our routine, but we don't have games consoles and I only have an iPad for work so those things are unlikely to be making an early entrance. Completely agree with most of what you are saying though - those lists are crazy! And a telly in the bedroom would not mean I don't expect regualr family time. I need people to play cluedo with - the cats are shit at it!

I keep feeling like bubbling going on down there, in what I assume to be my uterus. Is that normal at this stage viroids? Not sure what it is but like little vibrations. Doesn't hurt.

teejayem · 17/12/2014 12:37

aww, amazing news la and zyla! :D

Minion · 17/12/2014 12:50

Haha I have this mental image of you and the cats playing Cluedo now! You've just told thenm who think dunnit and they just look at each other like cats do, raise their whiskers and slope off in disgust.
Haha

Pisghetti · 17/12/2014 13:42

I feel I should say that babies are pretty shit at Cluedo too. They will get better over time though. The trick is to never let them win (assuming you want genuine competition) and then they learn how to get really good really fast!

Great news about perfectly sized beans La and Zyla!

YANBU Kato

Gentle Hooyah Tee. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Glad you got some sleep Ness Gx the cream sorts the wee man out.

Leela5 · 17/12/2014 14:06

Hooray for you zyla! Glad minizyla us looking good.

Ness poor wee j - hope his skin clears up soon, can't be much fun :(

ZylaB · 17/12/2014 14:08

Glad the scan went well la and that you got some sleep and cream to try ness :)

Indigoblue2 · 17/12/2014 14:23

la that is just awesome news. The senior doctor told me last night that the pregnancy is so much more reliable once you have a heartbeat too. I bet you feel way more relaxed ok maybe not way more, but a bit more!

Well done zyla too, another positive outcome. Head a bit smaller than average sounds good to me!

tee gentle hooyah. Nothing has worsened and as they said before, if it was going to go south you'd pretty much be guaranteed to know by know, esp this number of days on. I know it doesn't stop it being terrifying. Think how good you will feel after this check up! Stay strong! easier said than done for sure

Thanks for everyone's concern, did actually wonder wtf was going on. No heartbeat to be seen as apparently too early, you only start to see yolk sac in 5th week they said and my gestational sac measured at 5+6. That ties in perfectly if you take the date of my last AF day, spot on. But in reality I know I ovulated on cd19. So if they assume ovulation on cd14 or even 16 it should be dating at nearer 5+2 surely. As in, it's had less growing time. Anyone shed any light on that. Maybe it's a fast grower!

I've been drinking plenty water. Not really sure what the cramps were all about aand the fever and dizziness, it only lasted maybe 10 mins then I felt fine. Anyone else (think tee maybe said she did) had a real ache in their uterus? I was sweating but stone cold. Hope everything's ok. At least I get an 8 week scan on the NHS! The doctor was lovely, as was the midwife. She told me that after she'd examined me I was too soft etc to make her too concerned about ectopic, and she shouldn't really do a scan, but because I was so anxious she would. That was at 4am. Super service and I tried not to ask too many questions very hard if you are me

And apparently my line came up on their piss stick very strong and immediately trying to remb all the good bits for my PMA

Thanks for all being so supportive Thanks

TheBooMonster · 17/12/2014 14:28

Glad your scans went well la and zyla

I had a tv and video player in my bedroom when in hit high school but it was made very clear it was an earned privilege and not a right. I used the family computer until I got a laptop for doing well in my GCSEs bit again it was made very clear it was for doing college work first and playing about on second and would be removed if I forgot that, I didn't get an iPad till I got a generous Xmas bonus at work whilst on maternity leave. DD will have no need for her own tv because we barely use the one in the living room and will use our computers until such a time as having her own becomes a real necessity.

I stopped reading the Xmas lists thread because it was making me so cross, those kids won't appreciate half of what they're giving and will have no real understanding of what any of it actually cost.
