I'm bored and grumpy. Very grumpy. DH bought me up a cup of tea in bed this morning which cheered me up for about 5 mins. But I am irrationally angry about the silliest things which isn't like me at all. I think DH was glad to go to work today to have a break from it all.

cherry I was advised to get a torch for that purpose. Pleasant thought isn't it!

40+3 - did I mention I was grumpy Grin

I was telling dh that I want that birthday!

eliza I was actually a little jealous of dh getting up and going to work. Having a purpose! Seeing and chatting to real ppl (not the TV all day!)

Although he's more than happy to get a call from me and start his 2 weeks off work!!! Wants to get out of stressful new year start!

40+2 here and bored and grumpy sums me up too!

EmmaJan2015 · 05/01/2015 11:08

Not been on here in a while! I've just about caught up on the FB group too.

I'm back at work today for the next 2 weeks. I'm really regretting working so late in my pregnancy. I was told I could just help other people out on their projects in the last few weeks, but typically for my work/colleagues, that's all gone tits up and they've got me working on stressful client deliverables right up until the very end :-( I've got about 6 reports going out on Friday with virtually no support and I'm hating it. At least I only have 4 hours of conference calls today so that's one good thing Hmm

So jealous of those of you at home! I've got a maternity massage booked at the local country club on Saturday morning and I cannot wait for that.

My bump is feeling extra hard and tight today. I'm wondering if it'll start to drop soon now that i'm almost at the 37 week mark.

LittlePink · 05/01/2015 11:11

I was jealous of dh going too. He's got something else to focus his mind on instead of sitting thinking about it all the time but he said he can't concentrate anyway.

I'm tired and mega grumpy too. Was awake again for a good couple of hours in the night. I'm really snappy with dd. Mw called to say they have no spaces to see me for another sweep locally until thurs unless the mw at the hospital can see me again. While she's telling me all this dd decided to have a tantrum so I couldn't hear a word she was saying. Dd keeps doing this every time I'm on the phone or talking to someone. She got a big telling off then made me feel bad by saying sorry mummy. Poor thing all of my grumpiness isn't her fault. She doesn't understand.

Well I do hope there's some babies today. 5115 is a great day to be born.

40+1

Fingers crossed mads! sounds like something is trying to start. You beat me at 46 hours with your first. Dd was 43 hours and 2 weeks late. They say the second labours are half the time of the first. Hmmm!

Good luck mad! Will be thinking of you!

My first date of mat leave with DW back at work - very odd to wave her off to work this morning. Feels like things are shifting a bit and gearing up towards labour, but no idea whether this means hours, days or weeks left. we will have to wait and see!

Ooh good luck madrigals! Midwife said things were looking good and could be any day now. She said 2nd is not normally late. Is this true?

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/01/2015 13:50

HenriettaTurkey · 05/01/2015 13:52

Ooooooh! Good luck Mads! I had nearly a week of pre-labour so I know how frustrating it is.

CallingAllEngels · 05/01/2015 14:27

Just had last mw appointment. Only 2cm. have appt hospital Thursday to discuss induction and set date.

41+ 8 Sad

Pesto11 · 05/01/2015 14:59

What noooo madrigals

Your contractions are 5 minutes apart ... They can't slow down!
That's not the rules!!!
I know you're having a home birth but by 5 minutes apart I'd think it was the real thing too
I'd be on the way to the hospital for the birth!
Would hate to be sent back!

I have midwife appt this thurs when I'll be 40+5 so probably have a sweep.
Good to know it's not painful - tho I am a wimp when it comes to lady area pains!

Pesto11 · 05/01/2015 15:00

A week of pre labour... Nooo

How's your baby girl doing cheshire?

LittlePink · 05/01/2015 16:09

Oh mads they might ramp up again any time soon. It's so frustrating though. I remember the pre labour with dd with the stop start. So confusing and annoying. Several mws have told me no latent labour with the second and will just go into labour without all that stop start business this time. That's interesting about the established labour being half the time but I have no idea when my established labour stsrted

LittlePink · 05/01/2015 16:13

Started last time as I had the synto drip and no one really told me anything. I'm Guessing it was about 9 hrs but had an extremely long latent bit before that. So 4.5 hrs will do me fine if I could just go into labour to begin with!

Calling- I'm feeling your pain. As I say dd was 2 wks late and every day over is one day too much. Only 1 day over now and already feel like the worst overdue person in the world!!!
