Eliza, my baby will be your dd's birthday twin. I'm having an elcs on the 15th.

cheshirem2b · 04/01/2015 02:34

eeeeeeek! we've turned a feeding corner! Lovely mw here helped me to try pumping etc to stimulate milk as Ellie was v impatient and wouldn't take boob as not enough for her! second mw came along and suggested I try feeding lying onthe need on my side... gave it a go and she loves it! 2 feeds this evening 6pm & 9pm and then we got sleep. She's been cluster feeding from 12 until now 2.30 but seems to be settling now so hopefully get some shut eye now! so proud of her for cracking the bf now though! Grin

cheshirem2b · 04/01/2015 05:51

2 more little 30 min feeds at 4 & 5 - she's now lying in her hospital crib wide awake but she seems quite happy having a little wiggle and look around!
I'm feeling a bit tender this morning but I think that's due to the number of times I've been up out of bed in the night to get Ellie! Can't wait to get to the snuzpod!

cheshire Sounds intense but also sounds like the midwives are giving you excellent advice and support.
Well done to you both.

Pains in my lower regions hurting more and more when I move from siting or lying to standing
Going to the loo last night was not fun!
What's it gna be like after childbirth?!

But I'm fine when I walk?!? Random

Even dh is saying to me 'is the baby here yet?'

40+1

Morning everyone!

Cheshire great news on the feeding front! The support there sounds really good, nobody mentioned it to me with DD and same as you it was great.

Eliza I've been the same, thinking that the further from Xmas and NY the better for birthdays, but this is far enough for me now. I really REALLY want her to come today!!!!

Pesto I am sore here too. Walking helps, but makes my bump sore and tight very quickly.

7x "how are you" "You still in one piece" "Is baby here yet" texts yesterday. There is no smiley for rolling of the eyes, if there was I would use it.

Happy EDD Mad you can join the late club race as of tomorrow! Smile

LittlePink · 04/01/2015 10:01

Agh due date here too and still zero signs. I keep getting all the texts and phone calls every day asking how I am and any signs/ any twinges. I've got less signs now than I had a week ago but my friend keeps reminding me she had no signs whatsoever until her waters went and baby was born 3 hours later so there's hope!

CallingAllEngels · 04/01/2015 11:51

40+7/41w here today. Think I lost my plug last night but nothing else overnight. Just waved my parents back to the UK. Booked in for another mw appt tomorrow.

Pesto11 · 04/01/2015 13:08

little the only consolation that baby is making me wait will be a speedy (painless) labour!

calling oh it's a shame they couldn't meet baby as it's overdue!
When will they next visit?

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/01/2015 20:32

I don't think there have been any babies born today?

Tomorrow is a full moon. Wonder how many will be born tomorrow. I could do with going into labour before 8am. I'll be in trouble if it's after that as DH will have gone to work and the in laws are unavailable till mid afternoon.

LittlePink · 04/01/2015 20:57

No baby here either. I'm so done with these annoying bh's! I'm over the practicing now. Body needs to get on with the real thing!

I could do with going into labour before 8am too. I really want dh here when it happens. He says I need to get on with it as he's in the middle of a very difficult and annoying calculation at work at the moment and wants to escape from it! If only I had the control over my body to get this show on the road I would.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/01/2015 21:08

little I'll have my fingers crossed for you.

CallingAllEngels · 04/01/2015 21:28

They will come back but can't get any time off work so will be a flying visit in a few weeks, just Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

I am so fucking miserable and fed up Sad

LittlePink · 04/01/2015 21:29

Fingers crossed for you too eliza. When was your due date again? Have a feeling it was before today. Are you getting lots of helpful advice from friends in the curries/pineapple/ bonkies? I don't know how many people have told me to try all these things over the last few days. Only I read you'd need to eat 7 pineapples in one sitting and have sex 14 times in a day to have any effect. 14 times!!!! That can't be serious!!!

chiruri · 04/01/2015 22:12

Nothing here, either, I'm afraid. Been told by DH that I'm not allowed to go overnight, but he'd be happy if I went before my hospital appointment tomorrow morning. If only I had any actual control over things!
Baby has spent the evening bouncing up and down on my cervix. I suppose it's a good sign that s/he's getting engaged, but it takes my breath away.
Sweep in the morning. Wish me luck - absolutely terrified it's going to be unbearable!

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/01/2015 22:17

little due date was 2nd jan so I'm only 40+2. But I feel like I'm more overdue than that and both my other pregnancies were over by now. I was convinced I would be early. Shows how much I know!

chiri Good luck for your sweep tomorrow.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/01/2015 22:18

Sorry i mean chiruri

jobrum · 04/01/2015 22:26

I'm only 38 weeks and am now totally bored with pregnancy! Today I've felt completely rubbish. Think I've dropped a bit but just cannot get comfortable, have been super tired, achey, an annoyingly unsettled stomach. I want to moan about it all and have been today to my lovely DH is being so very supportive. He has found a perfect balance between offering to help, doing things for me and letting me get on with stuff on my own so I don't feel utterly useless.
I read about the number of pineapples needed to have any effect - ridiculous! I am seeing my acupuncturist tomorrow for some prebirth sessions for relaxation points etc. She does do induction sessions whe you go over your due date and I'm wondering if ethically she can do it now!

Fx more babies start coming soon for us!

Nesspot · 04/01/2015 22:30

Really feeling for all you ladies who are going over. I still have two weeks to go but would be more than happy to go sooner than that!

My friends threw me a surprise baby shower today. It was really lovely and low key - tea and cake and a wee bit of fizz. Had a lovely day! They were trying to guess the date/weight though and a couple went for dates towards the end of the month - 25th/26th Jan - I'll cry if I'm still pg then! Seems like aaaaaaages away!
Anyway, mw tomorrow so will hopefully have a better idea of how engaged, etc he is after that. Still feel like I have a while to go though!

looking4rainbow · 04/01/2015 22:47

Hi ladies I'm 40+5 today and totally fed up. I have a sweep tomorrow but not getting my hopes up! Starting to be very grumpy and can't stand the constant texts from people. I have had no signs, totally frustrating!

SK28 · 05/01/2015 00:00

Sorry to hear that so many of us are a bit gloomy at the moment Sad

I am super excited to meet my baby at last, but on the whole am not too glum at the moment. I've had some really uncomfortable days and while I was working and we were busy over Christmas I found things really tough. But the past few days when we've been more relaxed and I can do things at my own pace have been much better so I'm going to try and maintain that (without getting bored...) now DH is back to work.

I'm basically planning something out every other day (pop to the shops or visit someone or have someone visit) and the days in between will stay at home and be productive if I can or just relax if I need to. This pattern seemed to work ok this week.

Having said all that, I do hope baby is around EDD and not overdue - this plan seems good for two more weeks but not sure I'll remain sane beyond that!

Hello everyone :) I jumped ship when we got the Facebook group so haven't posted in months but thought I would come back and start posting again so I can keep up on baby news on both sides! Feel so sorry for all you over due ladies. I'm 39+4 but really not sure how much more I can take. Luckily they will only let me go a week over due so it's nice to have a proper count down even if it is for induction. Feeling selfish but I just want my body back. Feel so sorry for my mum who was 2 weeks over due with me in a heat wave in August Blush

Cherrypi · 05/01/2015 08:31

Morning everyone hope someone gets the lovely birthdate of 5/1/15 today. All settled down here so think I'll go over like I did with first one. Sleeping a bit better though and husband being very lovely. Just need to find a good lamp for possible home stitching and I'm ready. 38+4.

HenriettaTurkey · 05/01/2015 09:24

Ah... 5/1/15 would be great! I'm only 37+3 so unlikely to be me but waving my pom-poms for those at, approaching or over the golden 40 weeks!

I went 9 days over with DS and know just how stressful and depressing it can be...
