Yawn. DD on the outside in my bed punching and newbie on the inside kicking. Ganging up on mummy and one not even born...yawn

I am flying over Christmas when I will be 23/24 weeks. Hope all will be OK. And booked a week in Scotland with the MIL in February which will be getting rather close to April but at least it's just a train

LIG & Shetland congratulations on your scans :)

Smiling Glad that you went home. How are you feeling now?

Toucanet I also have a low lying placenta. I haven't been told anything about avoiding exercise! I'm going to start googling.

Nothing new at my end. I have a consultant appointment tomorrow afternoon & I am hoping that they will either scan me or listen to Bunny's heartbeat. I'm extremely worries as I haven't felt any flutters/movement for the past week or so. I hope that she's OK & hanging in there.

LondonSuperTrooper · 03/12/2014 12:24

Tiny I hope that you managed to get some rest in between your two girls ganging up on you :)

TinyTear · 03/12/2014 12:49

I did a bit... mostly the early shift as I slept from 9h30pm to about 1am in a good slot... sigh

Im sat in the waiting room at the hospital freaking out because im about to have an internal scan.

its the first of my extra scans because of my bicornuate uterus, beany is wriggling around so ive got no reason to think anythings wrong but all ive got going around in my head is that the last time I had an internal scan I was told my baby had died.

im close to crying, someone give me a slap

tannyLoo · 03/12/2014 17:10

Smiling they probably need to do an internal scan to get a good picture. You will be fine, I'm sure. No slaps, just a hug xx

LittleBairn · 03/12/2014 18:21

smiling you have probably had your scan by now buy if not honestly it doesn't hurt. I managed one today with a stitched up and swollen fanny!

So I've had a majorly dramatic 24 hours.
I Went for scan yesterday and found out my cervix was in a bad way funnelling with about 1cm until I start dilating. I was put forward as an emergency for surgery to close my cervix, they bumped me down a few hours until I got very irate with them and made I clear I was to be treated as an emergency they finally pulled their finger out. I was Suposed to have GA until they realised my reflux/ulcer makes me vomit so I had a spinal.
It was fine, dreadful to be awake knowing at any moment they could rupture my sac.
But all went well no rupture and they managed to get the stitch in and today the scan showed I went from 1.4 to 3.6 so I am nw at home.
I'm now on loads of meds blooding thinning injections daily, progesterone pessaries, anti-biotics, Asprin plus my usual Vit C&D plus DHA.

I'm fine (well apart from when I pee and when DH stabs me with a needle) and baby seems to be fine too.

TinyTear · 03/12/2014 18:22

Slap and hug!
I had internals with my DD and this kicking lady too

LittleBairn · 03/12/2014 18:23

Smiling sorry just re-read your post (ive had only one hours sleep)that its brings back memories.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/12/2014 18:42

little that sounds very dramatic and worrying but im glad they pulled their fingers out and put a stitch in finally, I hope you and baby are comfortable.

The scan was fine, the dr was lovely and after I explained why I was so anxious about it she did an external scan first so I could see beany and that hes heart is strong then once I was calm she did the internal, everythings fine, my cervix is long and strong enough to support the baby and my next one is on the 7th of Jan.

tannyLoo · 03/12/2014 19:06

Hooray for happy fanny scans! Grin

Shetland · 03/12/2014 19:41

Blimey little what a stressful time you've had. Glad they've finally got a stitch in - and that all looks good.

Yay for a good scan for you smiling

TinyTear · 03/12/2014 20:37

Wow little, cross post so only saw it now. Glad you are stitched up now. Here's to many more weeks x

TinyTear · 03/12/2014 20:37

Smiling, glad all OK

LIG1979 · 03/12/2014 22:02

Glad it went well smiling.

Little - sounds traumatic but good they put a stitch in. shame you had to wait so long for them to finally take action. are you home again or did they keep you in?

LittleBairn · 03/12/2014 23:17

smiling I'm glad everything went well.

LIG I got home this evening. So glad if I hadn't lengthened out they were doing to put me on tilted (head first) bed rest in hospital for 10 plus weeks! Might still happen if I shorten again.
The most traumatic part was recovery for hours surrounded by newborn babies, I find it really difficult to here newborns cry since I never got to here any of my babies, so much so I almost discharged myself. They finally realised I was serious and moved me.

Toucanet · 03/12/2014 23:32

OMG Little! Thank goodness you've got your stitch now and all the meds.

Smiling glad your scan was good in the end. Sounds like you had a nice Dr too.

Tiny ah long rail trip is another idea (Disabled railcard due to medical driving ban means can get 1/3 off too). Fingers crossed your 23/24 wk xmas flight will be fine too.

London think caution more likely to be urged if you've had bleeds too, fingers crossed being low on its own isn't a worry for most, sounds like some Drs are just extra cautious. Did make me worry re sex though, annoying when avoided that for 1st 16 wks on advice of a book, community MW & nurse in EPAU, only for consultant to then say no there's no need for that!

My next scan not till 28 wks now, wish sooner as keen to see MW next Thu, hope she can find hb ok. Know as soon as have bump or something kicking me will appreciate when didn't, just till then can't help worrying it's died (and when not, still paranoid about brain tumours). Must stop & look at car seats or something!
20+3

Toucanet · 03/12/2014 23:35

x-post Little, oh that's horrible, the last thing you need. Glad they moved you eventually. tilted bed rest doesn't sound fun either so fingers crossed for you that you don't shorten again.

lila35 · 04/12/2014 07:27

Oh blimey Little, you are going through it! Glad you are home now. How regularly will they keep an eye on you?

Good scan news Smiling!

I seem to be alternating betwen a good nights sleep and a bad, I have a bottle of gaviscon by my side wherever I go and that def seems to be helping with the heartburn, its not gone away completely but its much more managable.

I have the MW on the 22nd, will get to hear the Heartbeat again and am going to take my sister along, she is very excited, although I have told her its a boring old app aside from the heartbeat bit. No more scans for me though, I won't get to see this little man till he makes his entrance into the world.

TinyTear · 04/12/2014 07:59

Little, maybe at home you can plonk some books under the bed's feet and do your own sort of homemade tilt...

I have the thyroid consultant today, so hope for another peek or listening to HB again... she has been kicking away a lot anyway, so know she is there...

Can't believe I am nearly 22w...

OP posts:
Shetland · 04/12/2014 09:57

I'm not seeing a mw til after Christmas now - seems like a while away. Be nice to hear a heartbeat - I haven't had that yet!

LondonSuperTrooper · 04/12/2014 10:08

Goodness me Little! So pleased that you've had your stitch.

Smiling I'm so glad that it all went well for you.

Tiny good luck at your appointment.

Toucanet do you feel the baby moving/kicking? I've been told that due to the location of the placenta it'll be a while until I feel that baby move. I swear that I have felt flutters etc but nothing for the past 10 days or so :(

TinyTear · 04/12/2014 12:09

All normal... Thyroxine dose adjusted, heard HB and booked a scan for 28 weeks...
