Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is feeling good today. The sun is shining here and it's nearly the weekend.

freneticfox · 25/09/2014 10:10

Gosh, we're going to need a new thread soon!

Scan went well, although little monkey wouldn't let the sonographer get a good look at his heart, so had to wait a while!

Yep - 'his'. We're expecting a boy!

donkir · 25/09/2014 10:14

Congrats frenetic. Boys are fab. I may be a little biased though Smile

JacktheLab · 25/09/2014 11:00

Morning all, congrats frenetic Grin

To the guys under consultant care, don't worry too much I saw a consultant on Tuesday and am likely to not see another one at all for the rest of this pregnancy

BanglesSpangles · 25/09/2014 11:03

eee- lovely stuff frenetic. Did you have any inkling what it would be?

Actually, has anyone had an inkling that's turned out to be right? I had a feeling for a while that this one's going to be a girl (based on absolutely nothing), but since I heard that lots of first timers get an inkling that it'll be a girl, the feeling went away!

freneticfox · 25/09/2014 11:12

I was utterly convinced it was a girl, nevertheless I'm thrilled!

BanglesSpangles · 25/09/2014 11:41

ha- vaguely going some way to prove this 'first timer and girls' theory i guess! Ah well, I will wait and see what tomorrow brings me

longbottom · 25/09/2014 11:42

Wow you ladies have been busy!
Always read and catch up on lovely news!
Scan is 7th October, taking DD6 and she is so excited!
Feeling ok, but still very tired!

Ticktick · 25/09/2014 12:48

Gosh we expecting a lot of boys on this thread! Congratulations :)

We are still undecided if we want to know the sex or not. Such a tough decision. Lady in work just told me not to find out as it gives you an extra bit of motivation when labour is really tough... Not sure what to think. We've got until 6th Oct to decide.

BanglesSpangles · 25/09/2014 13:22

coo, we are, aren't we! 5 boys to 2 girls so far, I think)

JacktheLab · 25/09/2014 14:14

Tick tick depends on whether you like surprises or not.

We didn't find out with our first but did with our second because we really didn want a girl and wanted to manage any disappointment we might have felt if it was another boy (although I don't think there would have been much)

lawyeredout82 · 25/09/2014 15:14

We had our scan yesterday - a little girl! Think DH is a bit disappointed as he would have loved a little boy to watch the football with, play with planes, trains and automobiles etc. Sure he will get over it (she will have to be his princess!)

Memphisbelly · 25/09/2014 17:22

Lawyeredout girls can play planes, trains and football too Wink my friend is desperate for her girl to like pink but she is always climbing trees with her dad.

Tick i agree it depends how impatient you are. IMO a lot of older generations don't think we should find out as it 'ruins' the surprise. I personally cannot see how not knowing the sex would spur you on I was so exhausted I wouldn't have been surprised (or cared) if they had said I had given birth to a giraffe as long as it was over so I could sleep Grin

I agree loads of boys on here! Well after everyone saying how my bump is little it seems to have appeared and grown over night!

Bangonthedoor · 25/09/2014 17:59

Congrats lawyer and frenetic great news!

I'm off out tonight for a Chinese takeaway at my friends house. I love our nights in, I'm going in my pjs so even better.

Wind has been awful last few days! Can't disguise it either as they're so loud!

Memphisbelly · 25/09/2014 18:03

Someone needs to start a new thread who knows how to do links (i dont)

freneticfox · 25/09/2014 18:21

I do; what shall we call this one?

freneticfox · 25/09/2014 18:24

I have piles, fabulous

I am convinced mines a boy. Female gene in our family is v strong and all women are identical with among other features, a button nose. Baby does not have one, its nose looks normal sized. It also has huuuuuge lips and though I've full lips as well DP has huge top and bottom. I spotted nose at 12 weeks and now I've seen the lips as well I'm pretty sure. Can't wait to find out in 19 weeks or so Grin
