Hi Ladies thread 3!! 2nd Trimester we are on a roll!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
sandulacek · 22/09/2014 18:24

Ah, sorry I forgot. I wondered if you did any of the old wives tales tests. Good luck for tomorrow. Still 2 weeks wait for me [ sigh ]

kkllww · 22/09/2014 21:07

Sympathies to everyone whose bumps are being invaded! I never had that with strangers last time around, but I think I give off a 'don't touch me' vibe. I'm like you Memphis, and don't like being touched except by family & close friends.
Hope you're feeling better frenetic.
Had my scan and all good, such a relief as I was half convinced there would be an issue. We're having another boy; so exciting! :-)

Bangonthedoor · 22/09/2014 21:15

Nice to catch up on all the posts!

I've had a few sex dreams but it's all been with people that I haven't seen for ages....now struggle to read their fb posts without thinking about our "encounter" Grin I've been having loads of really scary dreams too though Hmm

I feel really nervous about scan tomorrow. I've felt nervous this whole pregnancy. I just feel like something's going to go wrong somewhere along the line. I've got no reason to believe so other than a feeling I guess

Memphisbelly · 22/09/2014 21:18

Kkllww ah congrats on scan all being well and another boy.

Dh is away and I have been productive I have sorted out my underwear and pj drawers, condensed 3 drawers into one of scarves (I like scarves) and emptied my wardrobe of clothes thst don't fit and bought vacuum bags to store it all in! Now lying on the sofa eating jaffa cakes Smile

Bangonthedoor · 22/09/2014 21:25

kkllww yay that's great congrats!

memphis Oooh Jaffa cakes...I've just retired to bed with a pork pie Blush although I haven't got any bedside rennies for after Confused

I'm the same with scarves!! I have a scarf drawer that i can't even shut and was just thinking today I need to sort out Grin

Memphisbelly · 22/09/2014 21:25

Bangon my dreams about Peter Jones were bad enough I used to blush watching dragons den! So I dread to think what its like to have dreams about people you know!

Good luck for all of tomorrows scans

GeekyHybrid · 22/09/2014 21:54

Here's a wierd one. IL's cat is staying with us as it does several times a year when they go on holiday. Normally she 'sulks' the first few days and apart from appearing for the odd quick pet in the evening she ignores us. This time, sleeping between my knees (I do often sleep on my back) so I'm reluctant to turn in the night not because I'm thinking I'm bothered but just because something is there. And then she comes down in the morning and sits on my lap whilst I have breakfast. When I get home she appears in the kitchen! Never known her to not be aloof! OH feels left out. Strange cat.

Bangonthedoor · 22/09/2014 22:13

geeky animals love pregnant women! They can pick up on everything, isn't it clever Smile

Memphisbelly · 22/09/2014 22:23

Bangon loving the pork pie in bed! i was eating mr kipling cakes in bed last week!

Geeky yes they can sense you are pregnant, cats are well known for being motherly towards pregnant people its the only time FIL's cat will be in the house with me! With ds my dog wouldn't leave my side ever, since then we got another dog after he died and this one won't come near me, he has sulked all night and cried at the door for dh!

blankfornames · 23/09/2014 05:40

Geeky, my IL's dog has become a total crotch sniffer.ever since I became pregnant. He doesn't do this to anyone else and as I'm not a fan of big dogs, can be rather embarrassing while trying to hold a conversation with the ILs! It's like he knows I'm pregnant! Of course DH thinks this is hilarious & never jumps to my rescue!!

GeekyHybrid · 23/09/2014 06:31

The good news is I got over my reluctance to turn in the night! She kept coming right back though, I must have disturbed her so many times but the she was, right in the crook of my knees. It's kinda sweet, and saves those worrying conversations we used to have e.g. "have you seen cat?" "nope" "food's eaten but I haven't" "oh well, she'll be under a bed". Now we know right where she is!

BanglesSpangles · 23/09/2014 09:44

Morning all
Have discovered crumpets are the perfect food to eat in bed- comfort food to the max but no crumbs

Grinningcat · 23/09/2014 10:02

Crumpets. Lovely. Will need to get some now its turned a little chilly. Could do with one right now. Think I'll have a prune instead.

JacktheLab · 23/09/2014 14:49

Scan went well almost certainly a girl, she opened her legs and it looked pretty conclusive Grin

Better get the clothes all sorted out now Wink

Memphisbelly · 23/09/2014 15:39

Bangles......I now want crumpets!

Jack thats great.....get them on ebay!

BanglesSpangles · 23/09/2014 15:46

Haha- sorry! I want crumpets too, if that's any consolation :)

Congrats Jack
I think I might start adding confirmed boys and girls to the spreadsheet of glory... maybe a job for tonight, if i can drag myself away from Sims 3, which I have inexplicable become re-addicted to

freneticfox · 23/09/2014 16:28

Afternoon! I've been lucky not to have unwarranted bump invasions, a couple of people have asked. I think I'm another of these people who gives off the vibe that I hate my personal space being invaded.

Went to Aqua Yoga last night, and I loved it; was a little weird at first because they keep the room temp so warm, but once I'd got used to it, found myself really getting into it and relaxing. It's a six-week course with the option of going full term, so we'll see how it goes I guess :)

My scan is Thurs, eek. Still feels like way too long to wait.

Memphisbelly · 23/09/2014 18:30

I have the maternity cardiologist tomorrow ....they said it is set to be a long day of waiting!
I have eaten way too much tea tonight and just had a bath, think the baby will sleep for a few hours as it will be relaxed from bath and full from thr meal Grin

Bangonthedoor · 23/09/2014 18:41

Evening all

Scan went well, everything seems fine, we didn't find out the sex in the end Hmm but pleased baby is growing nicely!

Congrats on your scan jack and the girl news!

Had some really shit news at work today, my boss is leaving in November. This is completely terrible for my workplace. Great for her though. It's hard to explain everything without going into detail which would take about a year to explain! And worse still some one has been seconded for 3 months for the role who is absolutely awful to work with! Everyone is so devastated and I struggled to hold back the tears when she told me, I just burst into tears when I walked out her office. That'll be me not going back after maternity leave and goodbye to the role I've worked so hard for over the years Sad

Memphisbelly · 23/09/2014 18:48

Bangon oh no how awful! Would there possibly be a role to go to at her new workplace?

Bangonthedoor · 23/09/2014 18:58

She's going to be a district manager for another area of the company so she will be working on the road. I'm just so gutted. That place has come so far with her there, it really takes someone special to run it well and without her it really has no future. I even said this to her. It's hard to explain, I'm sure I sound really dramatic but it really is the end of the business without her and it certainly will be with this other person in place. It would be like Katie Hopkins running the country!

Memphisbelly · 23/09/2014 19:25

Hopefully she will mess up while you are on mat leave and they will get someone else in?

Anyone elses boobs veiny? Mine look like a bloody road map they make me feel sick

Bangonthedoor · 23/09/2014 19:31

Thanks memphis I'm hoping that too! Wink

My boobs are definitely veiny! More so than normal!

So is it true that boy babies sit low and girls higher up?!

Memphisbelly · 23/09/2014 19:57

Mine are like ds has drawn over them with a blue sharpieShock

This baby is a boy and is so low it hurts, he was so low the other day it looked like he was trying to scramble out of my fanjo so for me at least my boys have been low

donkir · 23/09/2014 20:30

Bang sorry about your boss.
My boobs are also veiny and still really sore. I'm carrying a boy and even at nearly 21weeks he's still really low and I agree can definitely be quite painful. The amount of times I've nearly pee'd myself because he's stomped on my bladder is ridiculous. Waiting for him to move up so that maybe I'll only need one trip to the loo at night instead of 3 Hmm.
My belly is also really hairy now.
