Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JacktheLab · 20/09/2014 09:03

Bang, feel better soon!

donkir · 20/09/2014 09:08

Hope you feel better soon bang. Thanks
My sleep pattern is getting worse. Fine getting to sleep it's just staying that way. Think I got about 4hrs last night. Yawn!

Bangonthedoor · 20/09/2014 11:38

Thanks ladies.

DP has very kindly taken DD out for the morning so I could go to sleep and I've just woken up Smile

Starting to feel a bit more human now! I looked liked I was about to die last night and every time I was sick I pee'd myself Blush i do hope that was the pregnancy!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day Smile

freneticfox · 20/09/2014 17:16

Oh no bang; hope you're on the mend now! As a recovering emetophobe, catching a sickness bug has long been my worst fear! (Yep, even more than morning sickness!)

Had a raging headache most of this afternoon despite a REALLY good night's sleep. Hormones, I'd wager. Fun!

Memphisbelly · 20/09/2014 17:56

I cannot wait for this baby to move above my belly button, the pressure on my bladder is unbelievable it is like he has made his bed right in there.

Bought a film and pizza for tonight and dh wants us to take ds to some little theme park local to us tomorrow which I am not looking forward to. I just want to sit in bed and eat

sandulacek · 20/09/2014 18:37

Hope you feeling better Bang.

I'm meeting a friend for a coffee tomorrow morning and then we have friends with 2 very loud girls coming over for lunch so know how you feel Memphis. Luckily DH is cooking tomorrow. I haven't got out of the bed till midday today..well planned I say Grin

Grinningcat · 20/09/2014 19:12

I sneezed violently earlier and slightly pee'd myself. Blush Have been frantically been doing pelvic floor excercises all day!

babysquidge123 · 20/09/2014 23:20

Felt baby move properly on the outside of my skin today!! It was weird as so far it's only been little bubbles, had a few good kicks over the day :D

DH and I are off on our travels today... last holiday before baby! Just hoping baby likes flights as we've got 23 hours worth! I look forward to catching up on your posts!

Bangonthedoor · 21/09/2014 06:47

That's great babysquidge! Enjoy your holiday and rest lots Smile

Much better now thanks everyone, might even have a cup of tea! DP had his turn of sickness last night so I was following him around with bleach at all hours!

What's everyone plans for today? Any baby prepping? Might have a trip to the shops with DD, I really want to see some cots actually up so I can measure up. New baby will be in the box room so there's not an awful lot of room.

Memphisbelly · 21/09/2014 07:04

Babysquidge have a great time!

Bangon we have a cotbed from ds and this time baby will have a box room i reckon it will be a bit tightGrin happy shopping today!

My mum bough baby some muslins and baby vests yesterday and I got all the sheets for moses, crib, carrycot and cotbed.

blankfornames · 21/09/2014 07:29

Babysquige, have a great holiday! Treasure every moment of relaxation!

I too have felt little movements from outside my tummy but DH is too impatient to feel them yet! It's such a magical feeling!

Memphis, when is the baba supposed to move? All my movements are still very low down.

Memphisbelly · 21/09/2014 07:34

Blanks the uterus goes higher above the belly button from 20 weeks, I now feel a rare kick just above my bellybutton but this baby likes to kick low, last night you could see the kicks on the pubic line which feels so low.
Dh is impatient too I told him its like fishing it can take a while to feel anything Grin but this baby doesn't like pressure on him so if I/sister/ds put our hand lightly on bump he will kick loads but dh comes along with his massive hand and baby won't kick as he is heavy handed Grin

blankfornames · 21/09/2014 08:56

Thanks for that Memphis! I met my friend for dins on Thursday, she thinks I'm having a boy as she thinks I'm carrying low.
She also was due her 2nd baby on Friday, her plug went at 4. She went from 3 cms to 10cms in an hour & had her little girl last night..drug free! She's getting out today..super woman! Love positive birthing stories, too many horror stories going around!!

Memphisbelly · 21/09/2014 10:06

Blanks I am also loving these positive birth stories, first time round I had a horrid time but I still looked on it positively straight away. This time I have ordered a quick birth and to be home for teatime drinking chanpers Grin I tell every doc I see so I will be disappointed if I don't get one Grin
My friend gave birth a few weeks ago she had her waters popped and within 2 hours she was fully dialted, gave birth standing up and was on the Moet by 9pm Grin

Grinningcat · 21/09/2014 11:16

I am also loving these easy birth stories. I am currently hoping for one similar to both my sisters' first births which although tough, were done on only gas and air and lasted about 8 hours each.

Has anyone looked at the icandy raspberry as a travel system/buggy? I really like them online. We are going to do some proper buggy research in person next weekend when DH isn't working, but I wondered if anyone else had an opinion. The reviews online all seem good and it looks on paper like the one for us, but it is pricey at £420 for the basic buggy and £560 with the accessories we would need. However because it's so lightweight I think we might get a good couple of years use and then you never know, we might be able to use it with a future DC no. 2! Both DF and IL's have separately offered to buy the pram although I don't think they realise how expensive they can be, but I think if they'd like to contribute a little that would be lovely of them.

Ticktick · 21/09/2014 14:07

Feeling really happy! Just won a pair of tickets to Bumpfest!!! Yay so excited! It was such a nice surprise after we have just spent the morning fretting over how little my maternity pay will be. Hurrah, all is good in the world again :))) happy Sunday everyone :)))

Bangonthedoor · 21/09/2014 16:54

That's great ticktick!!

BanglesSpangles · 21/09/2014 17:01

Hey all
Bought a new car this morning- isofix points- hooray! Doesnt make any suspicious whining sounds- hooray! Massive massive boot- double hooray.
Time taken to buy car- aproximately three hours of research and one viewing. This makes is about 200% easier than i have made buying a pram!

Was out with a friend yesterday who had an accidental home birth (hospital kep telling her not to come in, then it was too late!) and im really really erring towards the idea of a home birth now, they sound awesome!

grinning i think raspberry mustve been pretty much the only thing on the market we didnt consider! Peach was very nice though, just really freaking expensive!

donkir · 21/09/2014 17:35

Purchased my first baby items today. Only some sleep suits but very exciting. Also been to look at pushchairs and price plans. They all seem to want you to take out store cards or similar and charge you a % on the purchase. Also if we purchased today we'd get it delivered in a week even though we won't need until at least January. OH wants to wait until January sales but I really don't think this is wise.
Congrats on comp.

donkir · 21/09/2014 17:38

I also got re measured for a bra after another thread told me how rubbish m&s was. Gone from a 34d to a 34E! Big jump but so much more comfy. Also got a 20% discount as lady that measured me was also 20 weeks pregnant. Made my day.

thingsarelookingup · 21/09/2014 17:38

Really enjoying a quiet day today. I'm not ready for it to be Monday tomorrow. We had ds' 3rd birthday yesterday and it was really lovely and he enjoyed himself but it wore me out much more than I expected. I have impressed myself with my Lego and train track building skills today though.

thingsarelookingup · 21/09/2014 17:40

That's great news ticktick. And well done on the car buying bangles. Sometimes I think you make a better decision when you don't over think things.

Memphisbelly · 21/09/2014 17:50

Grinning what accessories do you need! You may find buying some of thrm on ebay will bring cost down, I cannot fault icandy at all (we have the apple)

Donkir thats grest about the bra, we bought out pushchair in January last time round, pushchair models tend to change summer to summer so the sales on them don't really make much different in January. We went to an independant shop which had an offer of a maxi cosi car seat thrown in as an extra (as their quietest time is January) so no real saving on actual pushchair problem was as well that we had a long wait for delivery on items but we wanted a specific pushchair, if you aren't fussy with what pushchair/colourway you want though you may get a bargain?

Also it may be worth looking at baby plans or places that let you keep item in store until nearer arrival (I know I hate mothercare after service) but they have a baby plan where you pay 10% of item pricecthen as and when and they keep the item until your desired date and it isn't on a credit check or snything hpjust in store plan.

Been out to local theme park today, I am shatted just had a nap when we got home and am still in bed now, i went on a log flume and a massive slide, I am turning into my mother I made a weird whopping noise as I went down like she does Blush

sandulacek · 21/09/2014 18:16

Just booked our tickets for the baby & toddler show in Bluewater in October. If anyone's interested I got a discount code from Emma's diary...it's BBA32.

freneticfox · 21/09/2014 19:33

Feeling pretty grim this weekend. Don't know if MS is back or I've got dodgy tummy for some other reason but nausea and bum sick (sorry for TMI) have me pretty miserable. Desperately wishing time away, which people keep telling me not to do, and instead to embrace all pregnancy is... I'm finding that part really hard at the moment :(
