Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JacktheLab · 19/09/2014 10:27

Apologies to all not sleeping well I think I am, possibly cos I'm so knackered! I've been going to bed at half eight each night this week and sleeping till six am, still nodding off at half one in the afternoon!

Maybe banking up snoozes in preparation until feb Wink

Memphisbelly · 19/09/2014 10:32

I feel shattered like I could sleep from teatime but I just cannot drop off

L1ttleMissGiggles · 19/09/2014 10:42

I can't stay awake much past 9 o clock, its driving me nuts as time at home seems so short as I don't get in from work til gone 6. Hoping this stage will pass soon! x

PeppermintInfusion · 19/09/2014 11:13

After months of falling asleep on the settee every night and being constantly sleepy, Im now waking up early/not sleeping well and still tired as a result!

Ticktick · 19/09/2014 12:39

I'm the same, ready for bed by 9:30 and drop off to sleep straight away, but then I'm up several times in the night to trudge to the toilet or have to fidget cos I'm uncomfortable. Getting really sleepy in the afternoons, have caught myself doing the nodding dog several times this week, oops Blush

freneticfox · 19/09/2014 12:42

Good luck to those with scans today! I'm very jealous, although it will be my turn next Thurs, less than a week to go now :)

Also feeling the tired today, finally started experiencing the great bladder shrinkage and having to get up several times in the night. Felt a bit of a wriggle earlier, got all silly and excited. I want to feel a proper punch or kick!

BanglesSpangles · 19/09/2014 13:13

'grats bimberley :)

Jack, im feeling pretty good at the mo, tiredness wise, but I think that will change in the next few weeks- already finding being in bed more uncomfortable than it was

donkir · 19/09/2014 14:47

Scan all went well. We're having s boy! Little monkey wouldn't move so took a while to get the head measurements. Got there in the end and all is good.

sandulacek · 19/09/2014 14:53

I'm tired too after lunch....hmm right now I'm yawning Grin. I go to bed at 10 and drop off straight away but can't fall asleep when I go for my middle of the night wee. Looks like we're all in the same boat.

Bangonthedoor · 19/09/2014 14:55

Congrats bimberley and donkir!

What are people's thoughts on putting my foot down with DP re finding out the sex? We first said that we wouldn't find out but over the weeks I've been getting more and more tempted to find out but DP is so against it still.

We didn't find out with DD which was his choice I just went with it, surely it's my turn?! Am I being really mean by forcing him?!

JacktheLab · 19/09/2014 15:07

Ha ha!

Probably not iron deficiency then!

I've forgotten a bunch of stuff in the last three years Wink

I get flexi time at work, the last hour until four always drags on a Friday!!!

sandulacek · 19/09/2014 15:08

Bang I agree it's your turn now Smile . My DH didn't want to find out originally but I want to. Guess what's happening Grin

sandulacek · 19/09/2014 15:10

Jack I still have 2 hours to go booo. Rather spend time chatting than looking at the spreadsheets!

BanglesSpangles · 19/09/2014 16:09

woohoo- 1 hour and 10 to go for me! Then home where fingers crossed DH will have done all the cleaning because he's been off all day :D

Bang- it's definitely your turn. I recommend pouting and stamping your foot until you get to find out... or if he's really adamant, would you be able to find out on your own if you promise not to tell him?

Memphisbelly · 19/09/2014 16:22

Donkir ah lovely! Congrats!

Bang on.....yes totally your choice! I have a friend who found out this time because his wife didn't want to find out first time round....I put my foot down last time and this time and gave him no choice Grin

Belly keeps going really hard today and when it does I get pressure like I need a wee, also really breathless walking home from school!

Bangonthedoor · 19/09/2014 17:14

Thanks for the advice ladies! Definitely going to try my luck as much as possible! I could always get him to leave the room but I think he'd figure it out eventually especially if I started to get rid of all DD's old clothes or not Grin

Today's been hard for me too, plus my feet have already become fat! I haven't been wearing socks or shoes nor have I been walking! However it has been hot here again today, I had to just strip at the dinner table with DD as I was sweating Confused

GeekyHybrid · 19/09/2014 19:10

Scan went OK here, took 3 attempts to get heart measurements - quite important as OH's niece had 'hole in heart' surgery at 6 months - but all OK with sproglet so far as they can see at the moment. So apart from walking around the hospital, twice, and 'having' to consume chocolate we managed to get him/her to cooperate. Definitely my child!! I see battles of wills in the future.

jack tiredness is a constant here too. The two evenings we didn't have internet I dozed off around 6.45 on the sofa whilst watching the news after dinner, I obviously need to be multi-tasking to not fall asleep!

Memphisbelly · 19/09/2014 19:55

Geeky glad it went well! We were told all babies have a hole in the heart that doesn't close until birth and our sonographer even pointed out the hole in baby's heart on the scan.

GeekyHybrid · 19/09/2014 20:17

I believe they all do start 'holey' however the particular type that the niece had (tetralogy of fallots) can be picked up on the 20w scan, e.g. they can predict that the hole won't close up. I didn't bother googling it as I figured knowing details of something that hadn't happened would be a waste of energy, I left the overwrought anxiety to MIL and SIL (they're both specialists!!) and besides, even if sproglet did have it, niece (now 5) had an op and apart from a very fetching scar she should be proud of is absolutely fine - though hasn't benefitted from her mothers anxiety it has to be said!

Memphisbelly · 19/09/2014 20:24

wow it is amazing they can tell if the holes are normal or ones that need surgery....we are lucky to live in an age that knows this stuff before birth Shock

fluffymouse · 19/09/2014 23:54

It's been a while since I've been on this thread, joining again. I've got my 20 week scan in a couple of weeks. Looking rather pregnant now.

Good luck to all those with scans shortly!

GeekyHybrid · 20/09/2014 04:28

Awake since 3.30 ish. Grrr. OH just got up for his early shift so I'm watching news channel hoping to doze off!

Bangonthedoor · 20/09/2014 04:30

Turns out I did catch the family sickness bug. Had my head down the toilet all night and my tummy hurts so much.

Definitely not going to work tomorrow, hopefully for the first time ever DP will give me a lie in

Memphisbelly · 20/09/2014 09:01

Weclcome back fluffy

Bangon, hope you are enjoying a lie in!

I have (possibly tmi) the worst wind ever, it is going to be an interesting day at work, poor dh just got the brunt of it as I was lying in bed and it hurt my belly so there was no holding it inBlushnice romantic memory before he went out for swimming lessons Grin

Also have awful restless legs

Hope you all have a good day

GeekyHybrid · 20/09/2014 09:01

Poor bang, I've really got nothing to complain about. I hope you get your lay in and the chance to rest up / recover. Bugs are pants Sad
