Memphis - I have itchy boobs and also scratch them so it looks like I have boob-nits too.

I presume it's the skin stretching (they are now massive) but it is annoying!

I have had terrible bra traumas and have purchased some genie bras following recommendations from another thread. They don't stop the itching of course but they are soooooo comfortable and I no longer feel like I am being tortured to death by underwiring.

MarchEliza · 22/08/2014 13:48

Bangles re. fancydress - I have a weakness for babygros that make babies look (somewhat) like animals. I really want a frog one.

Memphisbelly · 22/08/2014 14:30

Bangles I like the frog one on there!

March thank goodness its not just me! I have bought some anti itch cream today! Will look into those bras too, got some from debenhams which dont kill me like wired ones but could do with more

Memphisbelly · 22/08/2014 14:31

Oh and my weakness is baby hats that look stupid

BanglesSpangles · 22/08/2014 14:49

surely it's the only reason to have kids, right? So you can dress them in the vaguely ridiculous clothes that you' secretly quite like to wear yourself!

Memphis was looking at 'week 14' in the mumsnet pregnancy guide, and apparently one of the symptoms for this week is itchy hands- small jump from itchy hands to boobs, i guess!

donkir · 22/08/2014 15:00

Also itchy boobs here too but only the left one. My tummy is the worst tho which is the reason I've gone for under bump clothes. Not sure it was a good idea though as keep hoofing them up.
I had to go and have a look at next baby clothes roll on 19 sept ican then buy stuff.

Memphisbelly · 22/08/2014 15:05

Donkir I am hoiking the trousers up but they dont move once you are bigger I cant imagine over bump stuff!

I have just been to Jojo Maman bebe again and bough another babygrow....this baby will have a dearer wardobe than me! i womt mention it to dh Grin

LittleMissSunshine33 · 22/08/2014 15:11

I went out for dinner last night (yet again another menu not catered for pregnancy grrr) But as I put my skinny black jeans on ... rip! Right up the front!! Oops need a shop!
It's nice that my stomach has got harder now much though more baby bump like and nicer when people touch it that it's not wobbling!!

Bimberley sorry you're having a rough day :( Hope you're feeling a bit better.

Over the past five nights there's definitely been a decrease in the length of time I feel sick, but an increase in the intensity. Like an hour or so of toilet-clenching stomach gymnastics then it's gone. Maybe a last hoo-rah before it sods off?

I keep having moments of being overwhelmed. A friend took me to Kiddicare today and was asking me if I've thought about types of car seat, or what kind of sleep system we'll be using. I babbled something about having a list of stuff we're thinking about.

I have no list. I have NO IDEA. I should educate myself, I guess? I've only just adjusted to the idea of being pregnant, so I now got to take on the whole 'there's going to be a small person'. I'm freaking out. I'm nearly 30 and I'm freaking out over the fact I don't know what an Isofix is...

HerRoyalNotness · 22/08/2014 16:58

Bimberley sounds rough, hope you're feeling better.

frenetic i'm a big believer in lists to calm your mind, you then have a plan, and can work through it. I have a 15item list of things I want to accomplish on the weekend, and saturday is already taken up by the yearly work family picnic. Argh.... oh well, some of the jobs I've been putting off for about 12mths, and actually photo album catchup is 18mths behind, so i'll be pleased to just make a start!

Have realised we need to buy 2 car seats as DH will do drop off and I'll do pickup, could do without the extra expense tbh. DH won't fit 3 across the back in his car. I guess it is okay for a 10min drive to put DS1 (7yo) in his booster in the front with airbag switched off?

Started planning our trip to UK next June to visit PILs with baby and my DB and his family. Hoping it will work out, it's been 3yrs since we've been already, argh!

I'm having weird cramping today, not sure if it's ligament stretching and uterus flipping or if my jeans are too tight, or other. I'm so on edge due to problems I've had early on, I just want to be able to relax and know the baby is going to make it. Would it be stupid to buy a home doppler?

Memphisbelly · 22/08/2014 17:17

Frenetic its all easy you come on here with your needs and budgets for each and we help. I used to be a manager for Mothercare so know all the boring isofix/car seat stuff.

Memphisbelly · 22/08/2014 17:23

Herroyal yes I agree lists calm the mind, i already have a list for xmas presents, xmas foods, jobs to do before baby arrives, stuff I need to buy for baby, stuff I WANT to buy for baby Wink and lists of names I love lists.... Lucky I can't do spreadsheets and pie charts really or I could be dangerous

LancashireTea · 22/08/2014 17:42

I haven't bought a thing yet Frenetic. Mind I am only 12.5 weeks at the moment, and not feeling particularly pregnant this week. I feel more ill, really. And as for the itchy boobs, mine are driving me mad.

We move next weekend, so it is all I'm thinking about. Perhaps then I will start to buy things. Almost feel like I'm jinxing it buying early.

Bimberley · 22/08/2014 20:46

So breakfast didn't stay down :(
I was starving hungry for lunch and that stayed down.

Dinner is not going to stay down :(
Have no idea what's wrong. Think I need to just go to bed and sleep it off.
Oo yes I love a good list! I have lists for absolutely everything. I've wrote 3 new ones today :)

Bimberley · 22/08/2014 20:48

Excuse grammar and spelling. New phone. Keeps changing everything!

LittleMissSunshine33 · 23/08/2014 08:38

Morning ladies read this on my app this morning to give us all hope (I won't tell you the negatives it lists first but I'm clinging on to the positives)! - You might also notice your cheeks turning a bit rosier, giving you that beautiful “pregnancy glow”, you should also start losing any morning sickness and begin feeling little movements as she now has longer legs than arms! See? Not all symptoms are bad! - We shall see Wink

jenmcspen · 23/08/2014 08:49

Hope u are feeling better bimberley.

Have def been feeling some baby movements the past few days. 17 + 1 now and is my first so thought I might have to wait a bit longer.

Got a meeting today at work to try and sort things out - cross ur fingers for me!

Memphisbelly · 23/08/2014 09:03

Morning all hope you all have a good weekend. The baby was kicking about last night and it did a big thump that I and sure I felt on the outside but then it went quiet, dh is desperate to feel it Grin. 18 weeks here now....almost half way.
I am eating almost normally now but still don't fancy or crave anything.
Dh is going out at tea on his motorbike, I said thats fine as long as he cooks before he goes Grin he is taking ds camping next weekend, sort of dreading being totally alone in the house (apart from the dog who sulks on his bed when dh isn't here)

Grinningcat · 23/08/2014 10:28

14 weeks today. Yay another week ticked off.

So glad I'm not alone with the itchy boobs. Mine are driving me up the wall, particularly the nipples. I've got E45 cream to keep them moisturised, but I'm not sure it's making the slightest difference.

Off to Next later, mainly to get pants for Dh, but you can be sure I'll be checking out the baby stuff after the comment on here.

Bimberley · 23/08/2014 12:21

Feeling much better here today. :)
Just been for a super long walk and trip to the park. Was good to get some fresh air after yesterday. Dh is now off until Wednesday. Very happy we have a long weekend. It's his birthday Tuesday.

Baby was doing some very big kicks last night. Was cuddling DH and baby was kicking him off, although he cant feel it yet.

freneticfox · 23/08/2014 19:12

Did our first major 'family' purchase today.. A new car! I bought a sporty three door a few years back that both DH and I love dearly, but it's just not going to make sense with kids. So we've upgraded, picking it up next week. I feel like a proper grown up now, little sad!

Bit queasy this afternoon, putting it down to not drinking much fluid today, ick.

15 weeks today, officially entering 16th week when a lot of people say they feel better. My god, my fingers are crossed hard!

Memphisbelly · 23/08/2014 19:29

Frenetic....what motor did you get? I am trying to convince dh I deserve a new motorbike next year.....its falling on deaf ears so far.
Really hope you improve asap.

I have had a headache all day, everyone at work kept saying apart from my bump I look too thin and too tired......just what you like to hear. I pm not sick just too much effort to eat mipuch, yesterday I ate well today not much.

Got gender scan tomorrow, we asked MIL but she didnt want to come so we are just taking ds and my mum.

freneticfox · 23/08/2014 20:53

Memphis it's a Ford B-Max, not the prettiest out there, but really practical for us, with sliding rear doors.

Not heard of a scan on a Sunday, hope all goes well for you :) One month till my next scan!

Memphisbelly · 23/08/2014 21:04

Its a woman who has a scanning room in her house, leather sofas and a massive flatscreen on the wall so you can take up to 6 people with you.

i have a cmax, love the b max too, love my cmax, poor ds kept getting his head bashed when I put him in my little fiesta. No bending down to put bany in the car and struggling to get pushchair and shopping im boot.....good choice Wink

bellaboo88 · 23/08/2014 21:05

Memphis, I'm a boob itcher too :-(

Fox, I've been pricing up today, dp has a dacia duster & I want a dacia sandero...priced up but I'm struggling to part with my money but I suppose its a good investment as its safer & my cute 3door won't hold a pram.

Friend came round & I said no the to holding her baby. I'm terrified....not of my own but other peoples...is this normal?

One born USA is rubbish!!! Anyone watch it? X
